The Ferry House is an enchanting wedding venue dating back to the 16th century located in Sheerness, Kent. Tucked away in an idyllic spot overlooking the Thames Estuary, this establishment provides a secluded setting filled with natural beauty. Though just an hour away from London, the venue offers all the charms of the countryside, such as rolling farmland and landscaped gardens. Here, you and your partner can host a heartfelt celebration that marks the next chapter of your happily ever after together.
Facilities and Capacity
The Ferry House offers several settings where milestone celebrations can be held. Their 'readying rooms', The Powder Room and brand new Garden Lodge are lovely spaces for you and your wedding party to relax as your glam team get you aisle ready. The venue's beautiful Oak Barn is available for ceremonies with up to 180 guests. Offering a rustic, whimsical ambience, the interior features a high-gabled roof and statement beams embellished with twinkling fairy lights. Couples can also exchange vows in the open air at the Oak Gazebo, also available for up to 180 guests, which provides the perfect vantage point for views across the estuary. After, elegant receptions with 70 loved ones can be held in the Oak Barn or, for larger parties, 180 guests in the glittering Event Suite. Then dance the night away with up to 250 guests in our event suite with starlight ceilings and DJ included. To end the day in style and comfort, those celebrating can benefit from the 11 onsite guestrooms. A separate wedding suite complete with a super-king sleigh bed, a spa bath, a lounge area, and views across the property is also available. The following day, an award-winning breakfast will be served. Just five minutes away from the venue is the Mocketts Farm Cottages complex which can comfortably accommodate up to an additional 61 guests.
