The Cottage Hotel is a quirky wedding venue located in the village of Ruddington near Nottingham, The hotel was converted from a collection of 17th-century cottages, giving it a cosy, old-world aesthetic for couples and their guests to enjoy. With the peaceful surroundings, intimate event spaces, and a variety of in-house services, this setting is sure to make for a memorable celebration.

Facilities and Capacity

Although we only ever host one wedding a ta time we have a choice of ceremony rooms. Couples can choose to host their wedding ceremony and reception in the main ballroom, which can host a maximum of 90 guests for a ceremony and formal dinner and up to 200 for an evening buffet. A vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams and chandeliers adds a rustic elegance to your celebration while the large windows provide plenty of natural light and doors lead directly into the courtyard.

For smaller celebrations, our smaller dining room can host up to 30 guests, making it an ideal setting for more close-knit gatherings.

The hotel is surrounded by two walled gardens, both rich with lush greenery, and also boasts a central courtyard with a fountain offering plenty of opportunites to give your photo sessions a picturesque backdrop. In addition, the hotel features 22 guest bedrooms and suites, complete with vintage decor and furniture, cosy bedding, and modern amenities.

Services Offered

Our packages include many extras which would normaly cost you more. Our staff will act as your Master of Ceremonies for example, announcing you in as Mr and Mrs and ensuring your guests are always politely guided to where they need to be.

We pepare all our food freshly on site and are always happy to work with couples to create a bespoke menu when required.

The Cottage Hotel is a dog-friendly setting, allowing couples to incorporate their four-legged friends into their big day.

You will have the option to reserve the entire hotel, allowing you and your loved ones to enjoy exclusive use during your wedding weekend. The team has over a decade of experience in delivering bespoke wedding celebrations, and will make sure that your dream wedding isn't an off-the-shelf affair. The hotel's wedding planner will work with you to create an occasion which is truly unique to you.
