Pop The Top is an exuberant live wedding band based in Bristol City, Bristol, serving near and far throughout the UK. This three-piece pop and rock ensemble will have you and your guests grabbing your dancing shoes to boogie to all your favourite songs. Boasting an industry-leading light show, the band can light up your event and elevate your reception to a one-of-a-kind experience. In addition to their instrumentals, the musicians perform impressive harmonies and use modern technology to enhance each song. From oldies to today's Top 40, Pop The Top can deliver a personal and exemplary soundtrack for your momentous occasion.

Services Offered

Pop The Top comprises highly skilled musicians and vocalists who will work with you to create the perfect playlist for your celebration. A standard package includes two hours of live music, a wedding DJ service, a dynamic lighting system, and a complimentary special request. The band is self-contained, bringing a PA and sound system, so all they need from you on the day is two standard 13A plug sockets to give them power.

What is included in the wedding package?

The wedding package is 6 hours long, typically from 18:00 - 00:00 and includes 2 hours of live music, DJ service, our industry-leading light rig and we'll learn a first dance or request for free

How far in advance should I contact you?

While we can be ready in less than 24 hours, we take a lot of booking months or years in advance so enquire as soon as possible to have the best chance of us being available for your date

We're happy to learn a first dance or special request free of charge. Additional song requests are charged at £30 each

We've played together at hundreds of weddings and events over the last 5 years and have all studied music degrees at university (Southampton & BIMM Bristol)

A standard booking is 6 hours long and includes 2 hours of live music and a DJ service as standard

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

We can be ready with less than a days notice, however, if you would like us to learn specific songs, they must be sent to us at least 3 weeks prior to the event

How do you charge extra time?

Our standard events are 6 hours long, from 18:00 - 00:00. You can move these 6 hours earlier free of charge. Extra early time is charged at £30/hour Late stays past 00:00 are charged at £60/hour

Amazing band!!

Pop the top played at our wedding and were absolutely amazing in both the acoustic afternoon solo set and the evening band sets. The music was great and they had everyone up and dancing. All correspondence was super friendly, speedy and really helpful. They created the perfect set list for us and made sure to find out and incorporate all our favourite music genres/artists/songs. So many guests have since commented on how great they were wand asked for details.
Thanks so much you made the wedding an absolute blast!!

Excellent band!

We booked Pop the Top for our wedding at the end of March. Joe was extremely fast with responses to our requests and we knew they’d put on a great show before we even met!
The guests loved the set list and everyone was on the dance floor all night.
Would highly recommend.

Amazing band!

Pop The Top played at our wedding and they were amazing from start to finish. The guys were professional, arranged pre-wedding meetings to ensure the right collection of music was played on the night. They even offered to play our first dance which just made our evening. They even accommodated a last minute change. On the actual eve they had the guests up and dancing, even those that chose not to dance were clearly enjoying the performance. Cannot recommended enough! Thank you guys! Look forward to seeing you perform again soon

Highly recommend Pop The Top, they said they’d make sure they had everyone up and dancing and they did exactly that! The band also learnt our first dance which was incredible. Everyone said through the whole evening how amazing the band are and asked how we had heard about them. Thank you so so much we couldn’t have asked for anything more, we had the most amazing evening and it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Simply the best!

Top the Pop played at our wedding celebration and they were absolutely brilliant! Communicating with them in advance was really easy and straightforward. We had a couple of additional requests as part of our set up which they were more than happy to accommodate. The quality of their music was brilliant as well as their choice of songs! So many of our guests said how fab they were. Would highly recommend!!

Our dance floor was full all night long!

Music was a really important part of our big day - we wanted everyone to be on the dance floor from the first dance to the very end of the night. So we're delighted that we booked Pop the Top! They were amazing at reading the room and playing songs that worked perfectly with our pretty varied musical tastes. And it's not just us that thought they were great - loads of our guests have told us how much they enjoyed the band too! The guys were also really responsive, which was massively helpful in those stressful weeks before the wedding. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend!

Such a great band, set up was easy and no stress, they sorted everything out. We had 2 songs we wanted them to play, which they were happy to learn. Music was great, we didn’t want to stop dancing. They played back to back epic songs and everyone was coming up to us, telling us how good the band were. Highly recommend!

Wow wow wow!

Wow, where to start!! Honestly these guys were AMAZING!! Joe, Harry and Ben created the best party for us and all of our friends and family on our wedding night. It really was the best set list, I don’t think there was a single song where the dance floor wasn’t full! We have had soo many comments from our wedding guests about how great the band was, lots of them have been saying it’s the best wedding band they’ve ever had! We totally agree, couldn’t have wished for better. To any brides and grooms reading this, book them in now!!

Best wedding band ever!

THE GUYS WERE FANTASTIC!
Every request we had they made sure it happened, they learnt my first dance song for us,

They helped with the suprise my father daugther dance,

The dance floor was never empty they kept every guest on there feet all night.

My husband even got to join in with teenage dirtbag living out his childhood dream as a rocker!

I requested that there were no song requests from the guests and to let the band do there thing and they never disapointed us once!

Awesome Band for All Ages.

I can not praise "Pop the Top" enough, they are awesome. They really took onboard our brief to provide music for all ages, but with a fresh and current vibe. Harry, Joe and Ben are super friendly and really are fantastic at engaging an audience, these guys literally made our event!
