Sopwell House is an amazing venue for a wedding. It’s recently had a refurbishment and looks fantastic both inside and out. The staff were very helpful, professional, friendly and clearly experienced with organising and running events. Our event planner, operations manager and all supporting staff were brilliant. The food was delicious and so many of our guests said it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had. As a wedding venue for Hertfordshire, with the quality of service, food and inclusion of accommodation, Sopwell House is very good value for money. We couldn’t recommend Sopwell House enough! They made our wedding day really special and we’re forever grateful.

From the moment we walked in for our first viewing, St Michael's Manor was amazing and we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. St Michael's Manor felt so special and that continued right through to the wedding day itself. The venue is absolutely stunning. We got married on the jetty overlooking the water and it was just magical. The gardens are gorgeous and the orangery is such a lovely space for the wedding breakfast and reception. Huge shout out to Christina, our wedding coordinator, who was absolutely amazing from day one. Always so quick to respond to emails, nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made us feel completely looked after. On the day itself everything was coordinated to perfection and we could just relax and enjoy ourselves knowing she had it all under control. All the staff were so warm and lovely. We were looked after so well. Loads of our guests commented on how friendly everyone was. And the food was incredible, genuinely some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Had the absolute best day of our lives and are so thankful to Christina and the whole team for making it happen so beautifully!

From the minute we enquired Emily, Eleni and Rhiannon were all amazing. Our questions were dealt with quickly and thoroughly in the lead up to the wedding and we were always made to feel special. We were given a menu tasting before the wedding and the option to try wines/champagnes and lots of food to choose from, it was a perfect pre-event for the two of us to get excited about our big day. On the wedding day itself the team delivered again, they were all so friendly but professional, we had a BBQ in the beautiful Yard area and felt like we could have been abroad! We chose to have cocktail stations dotted around the venue which were all delicious and our guests were blown away that we'd managed to find such a gem of a venue in the centre of St Albans

A huge thank you to Aubrey Park Hotel for making my wedding reception so special. It was a perfect day, perfect food (very delicious), and perfect company. The staff were just a delight and did everything so well. We had our micro-wedding of 23 people in the Cedar Suite upstairs, close by to the bar downstairs and the bathrooms. I commend Aimee, our lovely wedding co-ordinator, for bringing everything altogether and spending hours helping us. From the number of meetings we had at every stage, to calming me down through the whole process, to setting up the room with the rest of the staff. She is wonderful, Aubrey Park are lucky to have her. On a side note, if I had anything to improve it would be ensuring all the scuffed paint marks would be repainted over in the room, the beams to be painted white to match the ceiling paint and the carpet to be replaced with something more contemporary. These changes would elevate the room even more. Overall, I would definitely recommend this venue to any of my lovely friends getting married! Genuinely so happy - and I wish Aimee nothing but the best for her wedding coming up too! xx
