A Historic Manor House and Estate for Unforgettable Weddings
Nestled in rolling Kent countryside near Dover, Solton Manor is one of the region’s most exclusive and breathtaking wedding venues. Steeped in over 1,000 years of history, the estate centres around a stunning Grade II listed manor house and offers a wealth of indoor and outdoor spaces to make your wedding truly unique.
The Manor House
Lovingly restored, the manor house blends historic charm with modern luxury. Original features like inglenook fireplaces and exposed beams create an elegant backdrop for intimate wedding ceremonies of up to 50 guests and private dining experiences crafted by our expert catering team. The manor sleeps up to 24 people, including a romantic four-poster honeymoon suite and nine additional bedrooms, the perfect place to unwind after the celebrations.
The Getting Ready Room
Start your day in comfort and style in our dedicated Getting Ready Room, located to the left of the Manor House. Bright and spacious, it’s the ideal spot for hair and makeup, laughter with your wedding party, and those precious morning moments before you walk down the aisle.
The Dovecote Cottage
Once home to pigeons and doves, the Dovecote Cottage is now a contemporary, cosy hideaway. Included in your wedding package, this retreat sleeps four across two bedrooms, with an open-plan living area, tranquil pond views, and a private deck with a hot tub, perfect for the night before or after your wedding.
Gardens & Grounds
Solton Manor’s beautiful grounds provide endless photo opportunities and romantic spaces for you and your guests to enjoy. Wander across the enchanting Ponte Vecchio Bridge, inspired by Venetian design, or steal a quiet moment together at the charming Summerhouse by the ornamental pond. The meadow and manicured lawns offer a dreamy backdrop for relaxed couple portraits, while the historic moat and ancient ruins add an atmospheric touch to your day. From elegant garden walks to secluded woodland corners, every inch of the estate is designed to impress and inspire.

Indoor Ceremony — The Old Stables
For a timeless indoor ceremony, the Old Stables is full of rustic elegance. Original beams, soft natural light and a warm, intimate feel make it perfect for saying ‘I do’ year-round, styled with romantic florals or candlelight.
The Dutch Barn — Your Reception and Party
Celebrate in style in our beautifully converted Dutch Barn. Seating up to 200 guests, its floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the countryside, while exposed pillars and dramatic draping create a sense of grandeur and magic. Enjoy a feast by our catering partners, sip cocktails at our fully stocked bar, and dance the night away with an in-house sound system and dance floor ready for your after-party.
Food and Drink
We’ve partnered with Invicta Food Design, renowned for exquisite seasonal menus and impeccable presentation. From elegant canapés and grazing boards to fine dining and evening food, every dish reflects your taste and the best local ingredients. Drinks packages range from champagne receptions and curated wine pairings to creative cocktails and bespoke couple’s signature drinks — complete with a bubble tower or photo-worthy cocktail moments.

The BEST wedding venue!!
The team at Solton Manor deserve a special mention. From start to finish, Karen, Jackie and the team were professional, friendly, helpful, extremely hard working and nothing was ever too much trouble. They welcomed our sausage dog, Frankie who was a very important part of our day. A big 'woof' of thanks from him!!
Our guests loved staying in the Manor House and the pretty Dovecote Cottage. The facilities allowed us to make breakfast for our guests the day after which was an added bonus! The games room with a table tennis table was a real hit too!

An incredible florist by trade, Jackie has a natural flair for elegance and a refined eye for detail. Her ability to visualise styling, layout, timelines and flow ensures that every couple begins their Solton Manor journey with a sense of clarity and excitement. She brings together beauty and practicality with ease, offering expert insight while always keeping your vision at the heart of every conversation.
Behind the scenes, Jackie works closely with our dedicated team — including Emilie, Leanne and Karen — to ensure your experience is as seamless as it is personal. She expertly oversaw our inaugural celebrations from 2009 and licenced weddings from 2011, and ever since, on behalf of the owners of Solton Manor, she has supported countless couples through their planning journey with calm confidence, practical insight, and genuine care. From intimate blessings and vow renewals to local church ceremonies and full-scale celebrations for up to 150 guests, Karen understands that every wedding is entirely unique and gives each one the time, attention, and personal focus it deserves.
With her extensive experience, deep knowledge of the estate, and exceptional eye for detail, Karen not only leads the team at Solton Manor but plays a vital role in shaping its future. She oversees key developments across the estate, including the creation of the new licensed Woodland Ceremony space and the indoor Old Stables, ensuring the venue continues to evolve in line with the needs of modern couples, while remaining true to its historic charm.
Every member of the team, from front of house and planning support to the bar, venue operations, maintenance, and grounds, reports into Karen, whose leadership sets the tone for the exceptional service and consistency that define the Solton Manor experience. Karen is the kind of person every couple or event organiser hopes is behind the scenes. Calm under pressure, endlessly professional, and always across every detail, she brings a steady, reassuring presence to even the most complex days. And once the speeches are finished and the evening celebrations are well underway, she quietly slips away, knowing everything is exactly as it should be and that you are being looked after by Will our Bar Manager and his team.
