stress free wedding. perfect in every way
High quality, was able to have the wedding I wanted without being tied down to a set packages. The wedding day was guided by staff through the best man. Every one was relaxed, and quality of food by Clive was amazing... we had the running of the hotel to our self.... and 5 years down the line people still say how nice our day was.... perfect in every waySent on 30/01/2014
Fantastic in all aspects
We got married here as well as holding the wedding breakfast and evening reception. The whole process was easy and relaxing and they were accommodating to our requests and general uselessness. If there were any hiccoughs, I didn't notice them. We had a fantastic day and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, we were worried a little about fitting everybody in (we had aroung 120 guests in the evening) but no-where seemed crowded, and being a smaller venue you don't run the risk of competing with another bridal party or rugby squad conference. Also a first in any wedding we've been to, the evening buffet got completely devoured within about five minutes, that might say more about our guests than the food, but over all we were very impressed.Sent on 16/04/2005
Definitely worth a look
Although I booked my reception elsewhere in the end, I was very impressed with the Llysses. It's a small hotel with very personable staff. Their function rooms were some of the best we saw, the menu looks good (though I haven't tried the food) and the prices are very competitive. Also they don't just give you a function room and let you get on with it - you basically have the run of the downstairs so there are various rooms people can wander about in.Sent on 24/02/2003
I haven't been to a wedding here, so take what I say with a pinch of salt, but I got good 'vibes' from this place.
