Holme Pierrepont Hall is a stunning Grade I listed Tudor Manor House set within a secluded 30 acre estate, just a few minutes drive away from the famous Trent Bridge and City of Nottingham.
Home to three generations of the Brackenbury Family today, Robert and Charlotte Brackenbury look forward to welcoming you to their home, where couples can enjoy exclusive-use of the house and gardens, for the duration of their celebrations. At Holme Pierrepont Hall, we only hold one wedding at a time so on your wedding day, we can devote our attention exclusively to you and your specially invited guests.
Family-owned since the 16th Century when the house was originally built by Sir William Pierrepont, the Hall is steeped in heritage - with a stunning Grade II listed Courtyard Garden, formal grounds and some of the oldest brickwork in the county.
Licensed to hold both weddings and Civil Ceremonies in the house with up to 120 guests, we can also accommodate a marquee or tipi in our extensive grounds for larger gatherings for up to 500 people.
The oldest part of the house is the Medieval Lodgings - two rooms dating back to c.1500 with a unique atmosphere. With centuries old oak timber beams, leaded windows and original nooks and crannies, these rooms are loved by couples seeking an intimate ceremony or reception venue for up to 40 guests.
The light and airy Long Gallery upstairs, accessed via a Grand Charles II staircase is adorned with elegant antique furniture and family portraits. It's the perfect ceremony and reception room and can accommodate up to 120 guests.
The Ball Room downstairs has a sprung dance floor with French Doors which open out onto The East Garden - perfect for partying and drinks receptions on the lawn.
The elegant adjoining Drawing Room is a popular room for guests looking to relax and chat away from any noisier celebrations.
The glorious gardens, which have featured in a number of magazines and TV programmes, provide a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs. The Grade II listed Courtyard Garden blooms with colour in every season and the formally landscaped East Garden features extensive lawns and yew topiary.
While Holme Pierrepont Hall enjoys a tranquil setting in glorious seclusion, the venue is located just 15 minutes from Nottingham City Centre.
For more details, come and see us at a time convenient to yourselves. We'll show you round the venue and look forward to hearing about your wedding plans so far.
We still have Summer dates available for 2020 so please contact us for more information.

The best wedding venue - ever!
We had the most incredible wedding at Holme Pierrepont Hall. It’s a beautiful old red brick venue with tons of character and absolutely stunning gardens - and a church right next door (literally less than 50 steps from the front door!) which is where we got married...Sent on 03/07/2018
Robert and Charlotte Brackenbury were delightful, and treated us like we were their family. They dealt with us directly (no middle man) and no question was too small or big to ask. We really felt that we could decorate however we wanted and make it feel “our own”, but also could ask for advice if needed! They went the extra mile to ensure our day went smoothly and that we were happy with everything.
I stayed with my bridesmaids at the Hall the night before, and we were woken with a beautiful breakfast, complete with fresh flowers (and the beds were super comfy - I hadn’t expected to have such a good sleep the night before my wedding day!)...
We had the canapés and champagne on the back lawn with garden games, and then people could wander around and take photos in the flower garden in the courtyard of the house (perfect for bride/groom photos).
We had the most amazing day and the venue was highly praised by all of our friends!
I would highly recommend Holme Pierrepont to any Bride- and Groom-to-be...We couldn’t have asked for a better place (and very affordable!) to get married!

The venue is incredible and the flowers in the gardens are planted in such a way that no matter what the season there is an impressive display.

We got married at Holme Pierrepont Hall this August and couldn't recommend it enough for a wedding venue! Our guests couldn't stop telling us what a beautiful place it was - and we fully agree!Sent on 20/10/2017
Prior to the wedding we visited in winter and in spring and the gardens were always well kept and had gorgeous flowers all year round. We loved that the main hall and downstairs reception rooms were already so grand that we didn't have to do much in the way of dressing them- a few vases of flowers here and there and the place looks splendid (compared to other venues that we considered where we would have had to put a lot more effort into decorating/dressing up to make it wedding-ready).
We also loved that the grounds provided so many amazing photo opportunities - just google Holme Pierrepont Hall wedding photos (... especially those amazing topiary bushes!).
The hall can accommodate for guests with mobility issues and arranged for ramps very easily which was another bonus.
What makes this venue stand out so much for us against all the other Nottingham/Leicestershire venues that we considered was that it is a family-run business and that made such a huge difference. From the start we were shown around by the owner of the hall, Robert, who was incredibly friendly and completely non-pressurising which was refreshing! Robert was great at keeping in touch, helpful with all of our questions and flexible with requests - which made it so much better than a stuffy 'corporate' venue with no personality or flexibility!
If you are looking for a beautiful venue at very good value for money, look no further, we would highly recommend HPH.
