A stunning, hidden gem of a venue
In the lead up to the wedding, the owners (Charlotte and Robert) were very helpful and responded quickly to our many queries. On the day, everything was set up exactly as we'd requested, both for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. Charlotte and Robert liaised really well with our vendors, which gave us a little time to breathe and helped the day go off smoothly. Our guests were blown away by the natural beauty of the gardens and the splendour of the house, and we ended up having a truly magical, intimate wedding.
We love this venue
Charlotte and Robert welcomed us to there home and whilst gave us privacy they were always there if we needed them. Honestly can not put into words how incredible they are, they made our day perfect. Thank you for making our day so magical and helping us. Also the guest said how incredible the venue was, it so close to the city centre but you honestly feel like your million miles away, it so quiet and hidden away, and as a local to the area I didn't know it existed after going holme pierrepont national water sports centre lots of times.
We stopped night of the wedding and it was incredible to wake up in a comfy spacious bed to fantastic views, also to a wonderful breakfast spread that was so delicious. It was superb.
Honestly I can not fault this place at all and highly recommend.
The best wedding venue - ever!
Robert and Charlotte Brackenbury were delightful, and treated us like we were their family. They dealt with us directly (no middle man) and no question was too small or big to ask. We really felt that we could decorate however we wanted and make it feel “our own”, but also could ask for advice if needed! They went the extra mile to ensure our day went smoothly and that we were happy with everything.
I stayed with my bridesmaids at the Hall the night before, and we were woken with a beautiful breakfast, complete with fresh flowers (and the beds were super comfy - I hadn’t expected to have such a good sleep the night before my wedding day!)...
We had the canapés and champagne on the back lawn with garden games, and then people could wander around and take photos in the flower garden in the courtyard of the house (perfect for bride/groom photos).
We had the most amazing day and the venue was highly praised by all of our friends!
I would highly recommend Holme Pierrepont to any Bride- and Groom-to-be...We couldn’t have asked for a better place (and very affordable!) to get married!
Fantastic venue and the owners could not be more h
The venue is incredible and the flowers in the gardens are planted in such a way that no matter what the season there is an impressive display.
Prior to the wedding we visited in winter and in spring and the gardens were always well kept and had gorgeous flowers all year round. We loved that the main hall and downstairs reception rooms were already so grand that we didn't have to do much in the way of dressing them- a few vases of flowers here and there and the place looks splendid (compared to other venues that we considered where we would have had to put a lot more effort into decorating/dressing up to make it wedding-ready).
We also loved that the grounds provided so many amazing photo opportunities - just google Holme Pierrepont Hall wedding photos (... especially those amazing topiary bushes!).
The hall can accommodate for guests with mobility issues and arranged for ramps very easily which was another bonus.
What makes this venue stand out so much for us against all the other Nottingham/Leicestershire venues that we considered was that it is a family-run business and that made such a huge difference. From the start we were shown around by the owner of the hall, Robert, who was incredibly friendly and completely non-pressurising which was refreshing! Robert was great at keeping in touch, helpful with all of our questions and flexible with requests - which made it so much better than a stuffy 'corporate' venue with no personality or flexibility!
If you are looking for a beautiful venue at very good value for money, look no further, we would highly recommend HPH.
St Edmunds church next door was the perfect church to get married and with Holme Pierrepont Hall so close, it made the whole day flow without any interruptions. Robert couldn't have been more accommodating for us, there was nothing which he wouldn't do.
The hall is a true gem, all our friends and family complimented us on finding such a fantastic venue with such beautiful grounds.
It truly is the best wedding venue I've been to.
even though I've lived just a couple of miles down the road for a number of years.
The hospitality for wedding guests was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for to make us all feel really special.
The House and Gardens are exquisite and the food was delicious.
A perfect choice Jonathan and Joanna! xx
