Built in 1912, the Edwardian mansion at Gorse Hill, Woking offers a selection of elegant event spaces to host all aspects of your wedding celebration. The venue is licenced for civil ceremonies, allowing you to enjoy your entire day here. The Mansion House is available for ceremonies of 90 guests and offers a regal ambience for vow exchanges. Beautiful wedding
We recently had our wedding at Gorse Hill, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Everything on the day was seamless from start to finish — the communication, the planning process, and especially the day-of coordination. The venue itself is stunning — The grounds, the hotel and the event space were perfect for how we saw our wedding. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for: romantic, relaxed, and most importantly unforgettable.
A huge thank you to Brandon for going above and beyond to make sure every detail on the day was perfect. Magical Winter Wedding

Wedding 2025
Can't recommend Gorse Hill highly enough. Nicky and the team were fantastic. The whole day ran so smoothly, and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and how well organised the whole reception was. We were able to completely relax and enjoy the day knowing that everything was being taken care of for us and for that we're both very grateful. Brandon was also fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more.

The best day
We got married at gorse hill on 26th may and even though this was their fourth wedding in a row, they still made our day the best for us. Nicky our wedding coordinator was very helpful throughout the whole process with whatever questions we had. Brandon and his team on the day helped things run smoothly so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Even without asking they sorted out matching lighting in the ceiling alcoves to match our colour scheme. The food was great too. We would highly recommend this venue!

The place to get married!
Not only is Gorse Hill a beautiful setting for a wedding the team at Gorse Hill are what really make it shine!
They are diligent, organised and do their absolute best to make your day run as smoothly as possible. Nicky was always on hand with any questions and Scott and his team ensured our day was perfect.
Planning a wedding isn't for the faint hearted and the guidance we received from the team was valuable and helped make the whole process as stress free and enjoyable as possible.

Amazing venue, Amazing service 10/10
From our first meeting with Nicky she listerned to what we wanted, Nicky and her team allowed us to have the day we wanted, our extra touches were not an issue, right up to changes we made a couple of day before. A big shout out to Nicky, and all her team, food was great, meal service was great, bar service was fantastic, to those who followed our set up requests thankyou, nothing seemed too much. And to all the staff we did not have any contact with, our rooms were reat and to the gardeners lets just say our guests were wowed by the gardens. Thank you everyone at Gorse Hill for making our wedding day be everything and more we could have asked for Bridge and Ben Hodgson

The most special day
We had the most beautiful wedding day at Gorse Hill Hotel in Surrey on Friday. The team at Gorse Hill are fantastic and made the whole booking process stress free, the communication and support throughout was excellent. There are 3 wedding packages and we went for the top one because it was extremely well priced and you get so much for your money. We chose to get married on a Friday because we wanted the manor house for our ceremony and wedding Breakfast and then had our reception in the garden suite at the rear of the venue- this made it two venues in one which was amazing and worked so well. The venue is stunning- the pictures outside were absolutely gorgeous and the grounds are stunning and so well kept. The wedding coordinator and events manager were excellent and keep the day running so smoothly, checking in with us throughout. The food was absolutely brilliant, all our guests were commenting on how good it was and we really enjoyed the included menu tasting day earlier in the year.
There are plenty of rooms on site and with our package we got the bridal suite and two complimentary deluxe rooms included for our parents. I stayed the night before with the bridal party and the getting ready room is a large size perfect for Early morning hair and makeup.
The whole day was just perfection, everything we had ever dreamed of. Thankyou so much Gorse Hill for an unforgettable time xxxxx

The perfect venue
We held our wedding reception (Walima) in June 2024 in the Garden Suite at Gorse Hill Hotel and it was one of the best decisions made. We initially visited it at the start of our search and months later having not found any other venue which ticked all the boxes we came back and confirmed our booking. It has everything you need from the gardens (which in the Spring just looked stunning though we were blessed to have good weather on the day), bridal getting ready suite and overnight stays, an outdoor marquee area and the venue itself (both the hotel and the Garden Suite) are very elegant. My point of contact was Belinda who was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the process. She went out of her way to answer all queries promptly and made the process as smooth as possible for us. Belinda had even requested the in-house head chef who very kindly put together a South Asian style menu for us if we wanted to get the catering in-house. We had gone for dry hire and they were very flexible with our chosen caterers and decorators. If you get the right decorators they can help to create a perfect setup and stage for photos in the main ballroom along with the banqueting tablets and with the view out into the garden all the way around the room it just looks spectacular. All the guests had a great time and were full of praises. I cannot recommend the venue highly enough!

Wonderful, 10/10 experience with Gorse Hill
Thank you to Celeste, Belinda, Scott and the wider Gorse Hill team for the most incredible wedding day. Their help throughout the wedding planning process over the last 10 months was instrumental to the day's success. They answered my (many) questions over email, on the phone and in person with professionalism, and left me feeling like no task was too big or small for the team to handle.
The day itself was stunning and ran smoothly. We received several comments on the day about the beautiful grounds, decor and overall vibe of the hotel/venue. Several guests loved the wedding breakfast and said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Everyone who stayed over had a lovely and comfortable stay.
Considering how much of a mammoth operation a wedding is on the day, I thought the day's running was very smooth overall. As for the small mishaps that happened on the day (the best-laid plans...), Scott and the GH team handled them without any complaints whatsoever and seamlessly amended plans as needed. It made the situation much less stressful and was handled superbly.
There must have been so much coordination on the day with our other vendors that we didn't even see while we were getting ready, so thanks again to the GH team for helping set everything up and making our day absolutely perfect. We'd recommend Gorse Hill to anyone looking for a gorgeous country house wedding in Surrey.
