We had our wedding at Gorse Hill Hotel on Friday 29th May 2026, and would like to thank everyone at Gorse Hill for making our wedding so perfect, memorable and enjoyable.
Nicky, the wedding manager, was a brilliant help from the very beginning of the process up until and including the day itself. Her communication, attention to detail, and ongoing support was incredible, and she truly went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcome. From greeting family members when they visited prior to the wedding, to checking in on us on the morning of the wedding, to popping down to say hi the day after the wedding, we felt thoroughly supported and welcomed by Nicky. She is a professional, personable, and thoughtful person, and is a brilliant wedding manager.
Brandon, our coordinator on the wedding day, was absolutely amazing. Brandon was there for our pre-wedding meal the evening before, and he was an invaluable support. He helped us in surprising one of our groomsmen with a cake for his birthday, and even helped us as we rehearsed our aisle walks for the ceremony, advising who should stand where and on which side. On the wedding day, Brandon was such a positive and grounding presence. He was there from the very start to the very end of the day, and made sure everything ran seamlessly.
Philippe, the restaurant manager, was truly wonderful during our wedding tasting. He supported us in making the right choices for our wedding menu, whilst also making sure we had a memorable and enjoyable evening. He was funny, kind, and really made this an experience to remember.
The venue itself is stunning. We had our ceremony on the garden lawn outside the Mansion House, and we were so lucky with the weather. The grounds were incredibly kept, with the gardener looking after this the day prior to the wedding, and the beauty of the venue and gardens was complimented by so many of our guests. Our wedding breakfast was held in the Mansion House restaurant and was incredible. The food was delicious, and the food service was impeccable, with every guest on a table being served at the exact same time. We were so impressed with how seamless this was. Our evening reception was held in the Garden Suite, which felt like a second whole venue! We opted for the Mexican Buffet for our evening food, and once again the food did not disappoint. We have received many compliments from our guests about the delicious food, impeccable service, and hugely friendly staff. The team were amazing at setting up the Garden Suite exactly how we pictured, with attention to detail at every moment. The venue is absolutely dreamy in the evening with the beautiful string lighting across the path, and felt so comfortable and relaxing for us and our guests.
We would highly recommend Gorse Hill to any couple on the hunt for their perfect wedding venue. It is such a beautiful venue, with so many perfect photo opportunities, and (in comparison to many other venues we visited) feels so private and personal.
Thank you again to everyone at Gorse Hill for helping to make our day so perfect. We look forward to visiting soon to reminisce on our wonderful day. -

Our wedding was January 2026.
Nicky helped us with planning our wedding and ensured any changes were made and that they were smooth, they catered to all our needs and supported us.
Scott and the team were amazing.
Made the day flow and no stress on the day.
A small staff issue but was dealt with straight away.
Overall great day. Would recommend this venue. -

The perfect wedding venue
We had such a special day at Gorse Hill Hotel! The venue grounds are immaculate, the staff were also very attentive. Nicky on the day and prior was fantastic, she kept us up to date and the day went so smoothly which as a bride can relieve a lot of stress! I would highly recommend this venue as the day was so magical -

Gorse Hill was an amazing place for our wedding 19.7.25. The grounds and rooms were beautiful and all our guests complimented how amazing the venue was. We also had lots of complements about how delicious and tasty the food was from the Canapés to the main meal and also the evening food! On top of that, there was plenty of space across the venue to make the most of everything we wanted to do. This included capturing group photos, hiring a Photo Booth as well as a sax player, and having adult games on the grass area (even though the weather prevented us from using them). The venue were able to accommodate for bad weather too, which helped us still have the best day. All the staff were friendly and helpful not only on the day, but in the months leading up to our wedding too. The hotel rooms were also lovely to stay in. -

We recently had our wedding at Gorse Hill, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Everything on the day was seamless from start to finish — the communication, the planning process, and especially the day-of coordination. The venue itself is stunning — The grounds, the hotel and the event space were perfect for how we saw our wedding. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for: romantic, relaxed, and most importantly unforgettable.
A huge thank you to Brandon for going above and beyond to make sure every detail on the day was perfect. We truly felt supported every step of the way and were able to enjoy our day completely stress-free. He is the person you want to have on the day to help and guide. If you're considering Gorse Hill for your wedding or event — do it. You’ll be in incredible hands, and your day will be everything you dream it to be.

Magical Winter Wedding
Our wedding was in February 2025 and the team at Gorse Hill made our day magical!
Nicky and Scott were fantastic, really organised, very responsive and happy to help with as much as they could which was great. They both went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect, which my Husband and I will be forever grateful for.

The venue was absolutely stunning, the food was exceptional, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to the team's dedication and attention to detail. Our guests were full of compliments, and we’ve received so many lovely messages about how much they enjoyed the day.
The memories we’ve made, and the beautiful photos and videos we now have, are something we’ll treasure forever.
