Your own private countryside estate, all to yourselves
Tucked away in the idyllic village of Pickmere, Cheshire, Fernside is a beautiful former family home set in 11 acres of private countryside, with manicured gardens, a private lake with a fountain, and sweeping views across open fields. It has always been a place where people come together, laugh and make memories, and there's nothing we love more than seeing couples celebrate their love here.
When you marry at Fernside, the whole venue is yours. No sharing, no rushing, just you, your favourite people and a day that feels relaxed, personal and completely you.
Five ceremony spaces
We love to get you and your guests outside as much as possible to enjoy our countryside setting. Say "I do" on our lakeside decking for an intimate ceremony, or in our secret garden for a larger celebration. The decking is also a firm favourite for welcome drinks and cocktail hour by the water. Inside, two beautiful ceremony spaces in the house are perfect for up to 50 guests, and marquee weddings can hold their ceremony inside the marquee itself. Whatever the British weather decides, you're covered.
Intimate or grand, your way
Celebrate in the house and grounds with up to 50 day and 80 evening guests. For larger weddings, our luxury sailcloth marquee welcomes up to 130 day and 180 evening guests, complete with festoon lighting, Italian crossback chairs, a dance floor and luxury trailer toilets. You're free to choose your own suppliers, from flowers and décor to your photographer, and our six approved caterers offer everything from fine dining to relaxed BBQs, Asian specialities and evening food trucks. Pets are welcome too!
Make a weekend of it
With 8 luxury en-suite bedrooms sleeping up to 21, including our brand-new bridal suite, your nearest and dearest can stay with you. Unwind in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit or curl up in the cinema room, and let the celebrations carry on long after the last dance.
With you every step of the way
From your first viewing to your last dance, we will be by your side, and our wedding coordinators will support you for six weeks before your big day and throughout it. We're known for our personal, relaxed approach, and we treat every wedding as if it were our own.
