A prime location for country weddings, this stylish property boasts its original character and charm, elevated with a contemporary new look. With brand new function rooms and 247 acres of pristine grounds, this luxury venue has a little something for everyone.
Facilities and Capacity
Sitting midway between Brighton and London, Cottesmore Golf & Country Club is an ideal setting for a destination wedding in England's historic south. The venue is licensed to host indoor and outdoor ceremonies for up to 150, allowing you to set the tone for your elegant affair. You could choose the romantic Barn Room for an enviable rustic ceremony, embraced by a vaulted ceiling with English oak beams, arched mirrors, and ring chandeliers. Or soak in the southern skies with an open-air ceremony on the outdoor lawn. Nestled within a secluded tree-lined glade, this enchanting space includes a white wooden gazebo where you can exchange your vows. Afterwards, The Challis Suite opens up for 150 guests to indulge in a wedding breakfast before welcoming a further 50 for the evening reception. Here, light wooden flooring and a calming stylish interior add a contemporary feel. Charming antler chandeliers adorn the beams, and the marble-topped bar creates an impressive feature. Aglow with natural daylight, guests will feel at once relaxed and amazed, gazing through the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the French-styled courtyard. Guest accommodation includes 26 hotel rooms and 7 self-catering lodges with complimentary access to the health club, spa, and luxury beauty salon.

The Cottesmore Golf & Country Club events team is ready and waiting to make your wedding planning as seamless as possible. Choose from one of three inclusive packages and let the experienced in-house team take care of every detail. All catering will be dutifully supplied by the gifted in-house chefs, whose delicious home-cooked menus are all prepared in state-of-the-art kitchens. Their creations know no bounds as they provide guests with a complimentary breakfast the morning after. Throughout your stay, the oak-beamed Phoenix Restaurant will be open for lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner reservations. Review of Cottesmore Golf & Country Club - Wedding Venue
We had our perfect day on 22/11/25 at Cottesmore.
We chose to stay the night before with close family & friends which was lovely.
Jackie & Julie were great from our initial meeting until the end of our special day. They were great with communicating with us throughout & really knowledgeable & friendly.
Accommodation was lovely & having a balcony meant we could pop in & chat with our bridesmaids & friends which was so special.
All the food we had was lovely & bar staff & waiting staff were professional & genuinely looked happy for us!
The 'Getting Ready Room' was a lovely touch & again meant I could spend precious time with my bridesmaids before the service & friends could come & see me before the service for a little cry.
So many of our guests commented on how lovely the venue was & having the interconnecting doors for each of the three rooms was great - another big plus.
Cost-wise this venue was cheaper than others we had looked at & certainly delivered! We would both 100% recommend this venue for others.

Beautiful wedding day
We had the most amazing wedding day & night at Cottesmore. The food was absolutely exceptional and all of our guests agreed. The venue is absolutely stunning and there was nothing we could fault. A huge thank you to Jackie and Julie who helped to make our day so special, they are brilliant at what they do. They are very helpful and always responded very quickly to any queries we had. We had the best day at Cottesmore!
We don't know where to start! We had the best wedding day at Cottesmore thanks to the beautiful venue and the amazing staff. Everything went to plan and it was exactly how we had imagined.
Nothing was too much for everyone on the day and they made our guests feel so welcome.

The best venue
From requesting a brochure to our wedding day Cottesmore were brilliant. They answered any and all questions we had and were great help. We couldn't of asked for a better day thanks to everyone there. We got married at our Church and came here for our reception and we were greeted with a very friendly welcome and the day went perfectly. We would highly recommend them to any couple.

Perfection from start to finish
We honestly cannot fault any part of our wedding experience at Cottesmore. From the first day we visited everyone has just been amazing. We dealt mainly with Julie throughout our planning but the wedding coordinators are so responsive and at all times it really feels like they care about making your special day perfect. This can be said for all of the staff at Cottesmore, everyone goes the extra mile. The organisation of the day was seamless and the venue itself is just gorgeous. It must be said that all our guests also throughly enjoyed the day and there has not been one bad word said about the venue, food, staff or the day itself everyone loved it! Can we do it all again please?!

The perfect wedding venue 🤍
I was a June 2025 bride here at Cottesmore and I only have glowing feedback! We were wowed from our first viewing by the beautiful grounds and the brilliant organisation from events managers Jackie & Julie. The service we received from Jackie & Julie was incredible from start to finish, they were clear on the important bits and it always felt like they were excited with us. On the day, the team were seamless and I honestly can’t fault a thing. Our guests have been so complimentary of the venue and the staff which they met on the day. Thank you so much to Cottesmore for giving us such a fantastic day to remember.

The most perfect Wedding
From start to finish we couldn't fault Cottesmore. The transparency surrounding costs and what was included within the packages was fantastic. The price is exceptional as is the level of service you receive from the Events team of Jackie and Julie. The communication from the Events team and the hotel team is spot on and they couldn't be more helpful if they tried.
The day itself was incredible and went by without a single hitch. The staff work so hard in the background to make sure the day flows perfectly and we can't speak highly enough of everyone involved. The venue looked phenomenal, the food was out of this world and we were made to feel so valued and appreciated. We are so glad we chose Cottesmore to host our special day and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

The perfect venue for a wedding!
Cottesmore really is such a perfect venue for a wedding. From start to finish we were in such brilliant hands, all the staff are amazing, so friendly and down to earth. From the minute we arrived for our initial wedding show round we knew we loved it. Events Manager Jackie made us feel at ease throughout the whole process and every step of planning with the venue was enjoyable. Both Jackie and Julie were always on hand and very quick to answer any of my questions. We had a lovely menu tasting as part of the planning process and all the food was really tasty.
Our wedding day itself was the best day and all our guests commented on what a lovely venue it is. We had most of our guests stay at Cottesmore and with only a small amount of bedrooms, and all of them taken by our guests, it felt a little more exclusive to us and our wedding party which was nice.
I booked the getting ready room for me, my mum and my 5 bridesmaids to get ready in which is such a lovely little room, just perfect for a relaxing morning of hair and makeup, we had so much room in there too for the 7 of us!
Operations Manager Luke was brilliant and so helpful with all the little bits I was stressing about, nothing was too much trouble. The service was great throughout and food was amazing, everyone commented on how nice the food was at the wedding as well as the breakfast the next morning.
Truly a little gem of a wedding venue and hotel, such brilliant value for money, definitely recommend a visit! We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Wedding Fabulous Venue
From start to finish the staff at Cottesmore were engaged with us ensuring every query & question was answered, nothing was too much trouble always at the end of the line & prompt email response. Cottesmore is a beautiful venue & we were overwhelmed on our day. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding we thoroughly recommend this beautiful venue 😍

Fantastic Venue
I can highly recommend Cottesmore to anyone looking to get married. The reason I loved Cottesmore the most is how well everything flows. No getting kicked out of a room whilst it’s being set up for the next bit, they have a room for everything. Another huge plus is that the bar is in the same room as the dance floor (as they simply open up the doors to reveal the dancefloor for the evening) The staff are fabulous. I mean literally every member of staff at our wedding (& even the wedding tasting night too) were efficient, kind & super helpful. Jackie & Julie the event organisers are great. They are really knowledgeable, helpful & accommodating. They also always respond within very short timeframes. The biggest shoutout has to go to Kerry in reception. She is just awesome. The. venue has 27 bedrooms which is again another great feature allowing so many of your guests to be able to stay on site. She made organising accommodation for the wedding night so straightforward (when I can assure you it’s really not that easy to organise when you have to move rooms around etc to suit everyone)
Now for the food… we received so many compliments about the food! The food was delicious! Multiple times we were told it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We truly had the best day. A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the whole team at Cottesmore.

Our wedding day
My husband and I (feels strange saying that now) had the most amazing wedding at Cottesmore, we had ours in May 2025 and not only did we have the most amazing day, the weather was on our side and had the first ceremony of the year outside! It was absolutely beautiful. The organisation through the start to finish was absolutely brilliant and our coordinator Julie made sure all our needs were met. The grounds are scenic for amazing photos. Nothing could be faulted. We highly recommend at least viewing cottesmore before you make any other choices.
