From the moment we decided this was our venue the staff on the events team could not be more accommodating keeping in regular contact to sort everything out, we had several meetings with our wedding planner Teighan who was brilliant from start to finish accommodating all the things we wanted at our wedding reception, and ironing out any issues we had, I stayed at the venue the night before the wedding and I had a meeting with a lady called Eileen who was going to be overseeing our day she was so helpful that evening informing me of things that were going to be happening on the day stating all you need to do is relax we will do everything to which she did not disappoint, all the staff that day were very helpful and courteous to myself and my husband but Eileen was just simply superb even to the point of working through the night to get our function room ready for the next day as there was a function there the night before the holiday could not do enough for us amazing.

I recently got married at the Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel and have to say that the whole process from the early days of planning through to the big day itself was brilliant. The staff at the hotel, particularly Kayleigh and Liz were so helpful and professional and nothing was too much trouble. They were on hand to answer all my questions and put me at my ease and I had total confidence in all the arrangements. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment. I got married in The Rockingham Suite and I really liked the hall before the refurb but I absolutely love the hall now. It is so airy and full of light that I felt I was in a different room entirely! Everything about the whole day was brilliant and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone. Would do it all again tomorrow!

We had our wedding at Dibbins Wood in Deene Park at the end of June 2025 and it was absolutely perfect. We had to hire the teepees from their preferred company but otherwise we could personalise the day as much as we wanted to. We had a very relaxed day with no seating plan and a hog roast, but equally we could have had a seated traditional wedding breakfast with no issues. We were able to access the venue during the week leading up to the venue which really helped setting up some of our DIY decor. The site has so many wonderful areas for photographs too. It was important to us that we had our legal wedding ceremony on the day too so it was brilliant to find such an outdoor venue that was licensed. Connie, the wedding coordinator was the definition of going above and beyond. She helped with every detail and was very reassuring that we were on top of everything! She matched our relaxed vibe perfectly and single handedly took care of our chocolate wedding cake in 28 degree heat. You are very exposed to the elements at Dibbins Wood - there's no back up building to hide out in if it rains, and no aircon for the heat. Wasn't something that put us off but just something to be aware of if you book it!
