Sedgebrook Hall is a charming hotel wedding venue located in Chapel Brampton, Northamptonshire. This delightful Victorian manor house is surrounded by sprawling landscaped gardens, providing an idyllic setting for wedding celebrations. Facilities and Capacity

Sedgebrook Hall provides indoor and outdoor events spaces that are licenced to host civil ceremonies. The romantic pagoda, located on the luscious event lawn, offers a wonderful setting for an outdoor ceremony in the Northamptonshire countryside. Afterwards, guests can roam the beautiful British gardens, spread across 13-acres of grounds, during a relaxed drinks reception. Inside, several functions rooms are available to host ceremonies, wedding breakfasts, and evening receptions of all sizes. The Oak Suite was refurbished to a high standard at the beginning of 2020. The space offers a contemporary aesthetic and ample floor for up to 120 seated guests and 200 evening attendees. For mid-size celebrations, Mulberry Room is ideal for dining experiences for up to 60 and a buffet reception for up to 75. The Elm Suite is the smallest event space here and can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 30 guests. Your wedding attendees can enjoy a luxurious overnight stay in one of the 103 delightful guest rooms after your celebration. They can choose from various room styles, each offering the ultimate in comfort and convenience.

From the beginning the Sedgebrook Hall team have been amazing, even when we were viewing the venue and asking questions, Rebecca was so accommodating with her brilliant personality and friendliness and was so informative no matter what our questions were making it an easy decision to go with Sedgebrook Hall (and she is also a fellow Swiftie so bonus points!) After we confirmed that we would like to use their venue the process of organising everything was so straightforward and not stressful at all. Sedgebrook Hall also had an extensive list of recommended suppliers that they regularly work with and two of them we decided to go with and because of their familiarity with Sedgebrook and the team it was seamless and once again stress free since we didn’t have to play messenger between them. On the night of our wedding party everyone from bar staff, wait staff, and catering (and everyone in between) were so efficient and professional that even our guests commented and were impressed so thank you all for that it did not go unnoticed. Helen on the night was also on point, perfectly directing everyone and ensuring our night was perfect, her presence brought along a sense of ease knowing she had everything under control even giving a pep talk when it was needed, she was absolutely amazing so again thank you Helen. The food was also amazing and there was plenty to go around, you could tell it was fresh and another bonus is that they were able to cater for gluten free and vegetarian needs which was amazing and was once again praised by our guests and ourselves. We would with out a doubt be back to Sedgebrook for future events or even just to stay the night as the location is convenient and beautiful! Again thank you so much to everyone involved in our night for making it perfect, you deserve all the praise possible as everyone did an excellent job!

Affordable, calm, kind, attentive and genuinely caring staff & the grounds are stunning

When we first started wedding venue shopping, we were working with a very tight budget — £5,000 to cover our venue, food and ceremony. Because of this, we only viewed pubs initially, as we assumed anything more “high-end” would be completely out of reach. Sedgebrook Hall, Northampton was simply included as a “dream option” — a beautiful venue we expected to fall in love with but not be able to afford.

To our complete surprise, from our very first enquiry we were met with a quick, personal and genuinely helpful response — and even more incredibly, pricing that was actually affordable for us.

We viewed several pubs first. While they were pleasant, none of them truly ticked all of our boxes. We were looking for somewhere that could offer an outdoor ceremony space with a pergola, plenty of on-site accommodation, a large hall for dining and partying, and beautiful grounds for photographs. They were “nice” — but something was missing.

Then we arrived at Sedgebrook Hall — and it quite literally took our breath away.

The grounds are stunning, and every corner offers something magical: the sweeping staircase, wooded walkways, beautiful views, old iron gates and doors — our photographer was in absolute heaven! But more than just the setting, it was the way we were welcomed that truly sealed it for us.

From the very first meeting, Becca was calm, kind, attentive and genuinely caring. It very quickly became a one-horse race — we knew Sedgebrook Hall was our venue.

Becca explained that Helen usually runs the weddings, but I had such a positive feeling about Becca and loved how thoughtful and responsive she had been that I asked if she would be our Toastmaster. She kindly agreed — and from that moment on, she took care of absolutely everything for us.

Nothing was ever too much trouble. I changed my mind about the food (from hog roast to BBQ!), asked endless questions, tweaked details multiple times — and Becca handled everything with patience, professionalism and warmth. She checked in regularly, kept us organised, and made the entire planning process feel calm and manageable.

On the day itself we also had the pleasure of meeting Helen — and she was absolutely fantastic.

To save money, we had planned to decorate everything ourselves. When we arrived, Helen calmly took one look and said, “You don’t have time for this. I’ll take care of it all. Do you trust me?” With her wonderfully efficient, no-nonsense, military-precision approach — we absolutely did. And thank goodness we did. She transformed our pergola and table decorations into something truly beautiful, while allowing us to relax and enjoy the moment.

The combination of Helen’s confidence and precision, alongside Becca’s calming presence and kindness, was perfect. Together, they made us feel completely looked after — not just as a couple, but as a family. They cared deeply about our guests, the flow of the day, and every tiny detail, with a genuine intention to make our wedding truly special.

We honestly could not have chosen a better venue — or been supported by two more competent, caring and dedicated people.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Becca and Helen. You were a huge part of what made our day so perfect, and we will be forever grateful.

Copson Wedding

Wow!! what a wedding venue and what a fab team, namely Becca and Helen.

From the moment we booked the venue they have been nothing but amazing - from choosing the food to organising the day and everything in-between we never had any concerns!

The recommended suppliers were all amazing, the day itself was absolutely beautiful and run like clockwork but we still were made to feel not rushed or hurried.

Would highly recommend Sedgebrook and we cant wait for a return visit.

💎 Hidden gem of a venue

From the moment we arrived at Sedgebrook Hall, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our special day. The venue itself is stunning – a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern elegance, with picturesque grounds that provided endless photo opportunities. The gardens were immaculate, and the character of the main house created such a romantic atmosphere for both the ceremony and the reception.

What truly sets Sedgebrook Hall apart, though, is the incredible team. From our first viewing to the final dance on our wedding night, every member of staff went above and beyond to make the experience seamless and stress-free.

Rebecca, Helen and all of the colleagues that work towards and on our day were exceptionally attentive, always available to answer questions and ensure every detail was just right. On the day itself, the staff worked like clockwork – discreetly, efficiently, and always with a warm smile and a laugh – allowing us to relax and fully enjoy every moment, which did take the wedding nerves away!

The food was another highlight, not just from us, but our guests feedback too, the wedding breakfast and evening buffet, every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

Sedgebrook Hall manages to feel both grand and welcoming at the same time. Whether you’re looking for a magical ceremony space, a lively reception, or simply a stunning backdrop for memories that last a lifetime, it truly has it all, and having the rooms were a bonus as all of our guests were from around the country.

We could not have imagined a more perfect setting for our wedding. Sedgebrook Hall will always hold a very special place in our hearts, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple looking for a venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and unforgettable charm

Fab wedding venue

Sedgebrook Hall met so many requirements for our wedding venue. The top one was actually being able to hold the ceremony at the same place the celebrations took place. First meeting with Rebecca was great and she was very accommodating and it fitted well within our budget. Not the easiest to get hold of people there which did make us hesitant to actually reserve/book, however when they held a wedding fayre there in Feb 2025, our prayers were answered when we met Helen. What an amazing personshe was, who cared instantly about us and what we wanted. And she never failed to deliver! Helen brought our vision to life and the day was everything we wanted and more.
Food tasting... first one wasn't great but again.... Helen heard about it and was there to offer a second one which went brilliantly, also meeting the head chef.
The lead up to the wedding was obviously hectic, but was good. Allowing us to drop all the decorations off 2 days before our wedding as they had a wedding the day before ours and we wanted to accommodate them too.
Night before wedding... myself and my now husband arrived and met with the maid of honour and her husband and the best man and his fianceè. Rooms were ok although my husband and his best man asked to change and Helen arranged this instantly.
We had dinner at the pub down the road which was great.
Wedding day .... I was so nervous but Helen was there evey step of the way and her attention to detail, care and sense of humour made such a difference. She really is amazing and she works so hard. Non stop all day (along with her team) If anything went wrong we certainly didn't know about it
She helped me into my dress, which was a lovely personal touch (along with my maid of honour) and made everything flow seamlessly.
She was also the MC and we couldn't have had a better person. Her smile radiated around and nothing was too much bother. She was probably a Swan paddling frantically away but she never looked flustered.
She made our day and we both loved having her at our wedding, presenting her with flowers with family members. That's how she made us feel... like family, and we have gained a wonderful friend.
Sedgebrook should be eternally grateful for the gem Helen is and if anyone has Helen to 'help' with their wedding day they are truly fortunate.
The team at sedgebrook are great and nothing was too much trouble.
I agree with other reviews, the rooms and decoration could do with an update and freshen up, but we still had an amazing day!

Dream come true

Amazing venue and staff

From the day we booked sedgebrook hall we could be more pleased with the venue and the staff . Rebecca helped us plan everything and in the day Helen was the most amazing person there through the whole day from start to finish making sure our day was the best ever . Can not thank her or praise enough everything was absolutely perfect and all the staff happy and friendly . Beautiful setting and wonderful staff .

Perfect wedding day

The day was perfect, staff so attentive and supportive. Food was very good, tasty and plenty for everyone. Venue was big enough to accommodate all our guest who had traveled for our wedding. Great value for money.

Wonderful wedding venue

It was always my dream to get married at Sedgebrook… it’s literally on my doorstep and so beautiful. Rebecca and Helen made the whole process painless and are extremely professional but also very warm and kind, many a time they stopped me having a stressful meltdown.

The perfect place for a wedding you won’t be disappointed

We held our wedding at sedgebrook Hall on 5th July 2024 (F1 Silverstone weekend) we had been looking for a venue that was reasonably priced but had the wow factor for a few months , a unicorn in the wedding world!! Then we stumbled across sedgebrook.. From the very 1st meeting we knew we had found our unicorn, it ticked all our boxes, beautiful house & gardens, affordable, menu flexibility, accommodation for guests and room for 125 guests. We went with the summer BBQ buffet option … OMG it was amazing the compliments received for the food was outstanding and there was so much of it!! We requested sausage and bacon cobs for the evening meal and these went down a treat!! Rebecca the venue planner & Helen the co-ordinator are the ultimate dream team you are in safe hands with them, I made all my own decor and Helen took my vision and blew it out of the water she has a real eye for details, I gave her my stuff and free rein to do her magic and was stunned how beautiful she made everything! I was so nervous on the day and Helen really made me feel at ease and put the fun into the day. Rebecca planned the day to perfection always on hand and is such a wonderful person, she was on hand constantly to answer questions, make changes & just support us when needed, she is an absolutely star and together with Helen Sedgebrook’s biggest assets! The price for what you get is phenomenal we had eye watering quotes from venues that offer less than sedgebrook to the point we were losing hope of having our perfect day with a smaller budget, and they are so flexible with food another thing other venues lacked, tell them what you want and they will do their best to make it happen, the honeymoon suite is beautiful and in the old part of the building (the guest rooms are in the newer block but again these are really good quality) the bath in the honeymoon suite fits 2 (I’m a big lady and me and my new hubby had a lovely wind down bath together after the day was done). We stayed the night before the wedding too and myself & my bridal party enjoyed a day in the pool & jacuzzi to relax before the big day, it was perfect!
If you are looking for the perfect venue this is it, old rustic charm on the outside perfect for stunning photos & wowing guests with a modern interior that looks amazing whatever your style on an unbeatable price for what you get (we really did look everywhere across 3 counties) then sedgebrook hall is the place to go, at the very least book a viewing and check it out, you won’t be disappointed

Wedding day 10.11.23

Where do I start? Team Sedgebrook were amazing from the start to the bitter end, which is why they were mentioned a few times in my bridal speech. I couldn’t have gotten through it without Becca who was our wedding co-ordinator. She had an answer no matter how common or obscure my question, would always ring or email me no matter a working day or not, so genuinely happy, positive, bubbly and supportive - it wouldn’t have been the unbelievable day it was without her. Helen was our toast master and she was brilliant too, had everything running on time, everyone knowing their stations, hosted brilliantly our mr and mrs game, gave me and my dad an amazing father and daughter song to dance too and gave me the ideal way to wee in the hardest wedding dress we ever did see!! The bar staff were fantastic and the reception team chap especially (sorry Didn’t get your name!) I only thought as clearing away just after midnight the staff then were quite ‘off’ and not communicative or smiley but to be honest, who would be working at 12:10am - weddings are long days but unfortunately for me, it flew by! The only other very little imperfection, one of my guests saw a good few bottles of undrunk beer being taken away at the end of the night as wasn’t drunk but we’d pay for for reception guests, as the Prosecco was the same price as the beers when we paid, someone could have noticed and asked if we wanted to swap them so the reception had more of the drinks they were supposed to, the Prosecco went down like wild fire!!
I cannot believe the weather in November, we were lucky enough to have cloud with a snippet of sunshine and wasn’t even cold enough for coats, which allowed us to have amazing pictures and our amazing confetti throw of which I cannot wait to see once developed! The grounds of Sedgebrook are out of this world, each room we stayed/went in were immaculate and all guests who stayed were very happy, the breakfast in the morning was great value for money and could taste the quality and couldn’t get a wider selection. Along with this I must say the evening buffet was beautiful and have had so many guests say so, tasty, good selection and right amount per person. I must also mention the bar/drinks area, what a perfectly sized, smart, shiny, snazzy area to mingle with loved ones.
I honestly had the most special day of my life and in large parts have Sedgebrook to thank. Beautiful hard working team, beautiful inside the venue and out. Would recommend in a heartbeat over and over again.
