It is genuinely difficult to put into words just how incredible Colshaw Hall and the entire team were.

From the moment we chose Colshaw, we knew it was somewhere special. It is absolutely beautiful, full of character and somehow manages to feel both grand and incredibly warm and intimate at the same time. But as stunning as the venue is, it was the people behind it who made our experience what it was.

Throughout the entire planning process, everything was approached with professionalism, flexibility and kindness. There are so many moving parts when planning a wedding, and whenever we had a question, changed something or needed help working something through, we always felt listened to and supported. Nothing ever felt like an inconvenience and we were more than looked after.

On the wedding day itself, everything was absolutely flawless. We were able to completely switch off and enjoy ourselves because the team had everything under control behind the scenes. Every part of the day flowed beautifully and we never once felt like we needed to worry about timings, logistics or what was happening next.

There were also lots of little details that mattered enormously to us, including having our dog Maple involved in part of the ceremony, and the team helped everything come together exactly as we had imagined it.

What really stands out to us is how cared for we felt. We never felt like we were simply another wedding in the diary. The whole experience felt personal, thoughtful and incredibly well organised from beginning to end.

Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more, and Colshaw Hall played such a huge part in that. We would choose them again without hesitation and could not recommend the venue or the team highly enough.

We got married at Colshaw in Sep26, having booked way back in Feb24. We had been to 5-6 other venues prior but nothing compared. On the day we first viewed, they met us from near the car park, took our name and welcomed us into their main entrance where we were given a brochure and introduced to Kirsty who was going to show us round. We had a full guided tour (the only venue we’d viewed that did this) which made us feel like VIPs right from the start! We were walked around every space, talked through how they work, what a wedding day looks like for them, and what is included in a Colshaw booking. I remember looking at Rhi in the Peele Suite and smiling and nodding… I think we both knew this was the one.

As we continued the tour, prosecco in hand, we were greeted by every member of staff, Angelo in the bus took us to the lodges, we even got to say hello to David. Everyone we met was so welcoming, polite, and very clearly proud to be a member of staff at Colshaw.

As we were leaving to go home, we stopped one last time in the ceremony room, which was empty, save for the toastmaster and Ben Clarke (Pianist) who we spoke to and offered Rhi with a chance to do a mock walk in. Ben played one of our favourite songs for us and I got to watch the doors open and my fiancee walked down causing both of us to burst into tears! This memory, along with our lovely tour, was one of the many reason we booked.

Let me tell you, there is NO request too big for this team! We followed up with visits from both close family members, another 2-3 visits for us, and countless questions over email. Every single time the staff were friendly, fell over us, and really made us feel special.

It is also a testament to the management team at Colshaw that they never stop and just rest on their profit. In the time between our booking and our wedding date, they renovated the ceremony room, added a stunning waterfall, revamped the space outside the front of the ceremony room, updated their bar area, moved the toilets, added a stunning outdoor cocktail bar, added the pergola in the walled garden, sculpted and upgraded the spaces outside the lodges, moved their bridal makeup room and created an amazing “reveal curtain” space. They also added the BriteBiz software which was a great planning paltform with so much info was added from both us and the team meaning we didn’t have to remember anything as it was all recorded there and worked great for clarity when planning seating plans etc.
It has the ability to take payments online too - a welcome relief from the many bank transfers you have to do when planning a wedding! There’s probably more we’ve forgotten but one thing was clear to us - they never saw their venue as perfect and would ask “what can we do to make this place better” which is an amazing (and rare) attitude for a venue to have.

We had a lovely tour and talk with Tracy in the evening on our -1 year anniversary, which was so special. We got to experience the place at night, again stunning, the interior and exterior lighting just made the place pop.

Closer to the big day, we had our final meet with Vicky. We ran through everything we’d already added to our BriteBiz account, plus has the opportunity to ask endless questions which Vicky was able to answer - again, we just felt safe and reassured that these guys have got it sorted.

We booked to stay with our families the night before in the lodges and some pods, which I would highly recommend. One of our coordinators, Janice, came to greet us, and talked though some of the detail for the day of.

On the day, the team fell over Rhi and her bridal party. Ali was superb at fielding questions from everyone else - allowing Rhi to fully enjoy her morning.

Ali also came over to the boys in our lodge, introduced herself and what was going to happen across the day.
Again, just offering herself to answer any question and be the go to person.

As the morning went on, we moved into the house and den respectively. On my side the toastmaster joined us (part of the Colshaw package) and helped the guys into suits and made sure all details were correct. This meant both Rhi and I had support whilst we were separate.

As guests were arriving and we were greeting everyone in the pavilion, I had some nerves and just wanted to check in. Our toastmaster found Ali for me in the Peele suite and we went over a few details again. I could tell she saw my stress and just stepped in, checked all my worries, and said “don't worry, I’ve got this!”.

Throughout the day, we were overwhelmed with how smooth everything went. The staff were no doubt working hard in the background but nothing was visible.
As I said before, we were held and managed the whole day. When it came time for the team to leave for the evening we were introduced to Keith, the night manager, who again looked after us at several points, kept checking in, looked after drinks, phones and gifts whilst we were pulled in different directions.

Breakfast in the morning was stunning, the orangey is a beautiful spot to bring guests back together the morning after.

Even their cleaning staff were impeccable. As we were packing up and loading the cars, I was caught at several points talking to the staff who helped me pack everything and checked corners, closets and bathrooms for me to make sure we didn’t forget anything.

We set out, early on, to put on the event of the year for us and for our guests…and was it ever. The calibre of Colshaw Hall as a wedding venue is second to none.
If you are reading this, looking for a horror story, or for reality to be less than expected, give up now.

Book it and don’t look back.

Wow.. I don’t even know where to begin other than the BIGGEST thank you ever to Colshaw Hall!!!!

This venue is out of this world, from the moment we checked into the bridal lodge the evening before to the day after our wedding every moment was perfect. We truly couldn’t have picked a better venue ❤️

Biggest shout out to our wedding coordinators on the day Abby & Shelly they was an absolute stars from start to finish, always there with the van ready to pick me up whilst the weather wasn’t on our side, they couldn’t have done enough for us! Another very special mention to the amazing Janice, this lady was there through it all, helping my husband get ready (even ironing the best men’s shirts because they was typical men who didn’t come prepared!!) she was back and forth between the two of us all morning, anything we needed it was never a bother she would be the first to help. She is truly an angel and keeps everyone so calm on the morning which is what you definitely need! Lastly I want to say thank you so much to Ian our toastmaster, wow what a man. There are no words for how kind, funny & welcoming he makes you feel, I truly don’t think our day would have gone the way it did without him.

Colshaw Hall is honestly the venue I dreamt I would get married at when I was a little girl, we couldn’t have had a more perfect day. So again, thank you so much Colshaw you have absolutely blew our expectations what our day would be out the park & they was even better than we dreamed of!

My only negative is I wish we could do it again!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dear Colshaw Hall team,

I honestly don’t know where to begin other than by saying thank you, thank you, thank you.

We feel incredibly grateful that we found Colshaw Hall and chose you to be the place where we got married. From the very beginning, we had extremely high expectations for our wedding day and you managed to go above and beyond every single one of them!!

The day was absolutely seamless. Colshaw Hall is four hours from home for us, and I can genuinely say that we would have travelled double that distance to have our wedding with you. It was worth every mile.

The coordinators are an absolute credit to you. The amount of work, organisation and care that goes into making a wedding run so smoothly is something we really appreciate, particularly because we do a lot of weddings through our own business and understand just how much happens behind the scenes. Nothing in the South East compares to the standard of the day you delivered for us.

The day itself was so overwhelming and emotional that, unfortunately I can’t remember everyone’s names who I want to thank, but I hope you can pass on our gratitude to every single member of your team. Every person played a part in making the day what it was. From how immaculate and spotless the house was, to every supplier being so well looked after, the kindness of the bar staff, and how helpful and attentive absolutely everyone was, for always being there on the other side of an email 3 years in advance, it was all noticed and so appreciated.

You do this every single day, but you made us feel as though we were the only wedding you had this year. That is such a special thing to be able to do and also no wonder you are busy every day of the week, every week of the year!!

I’m sure we had Victoria helping us in the morning, along with another lovely lady whose name I really am trying to remember. They both noticed when I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed and managed to subtly take me away for five minutes to give me a moment to breathe. Those little things meant so much to me, especially in what was such an emotional and overwhelming morning and really allowed me to take it all in.

And then there were all the little moments throughout the day where you went above and beyond without us even having to ask.

One of my friends had found out she was pregnant the week before, meaning that unknown to me she couldn’t have the pâté, and you accommodated this completely.

One of my cousins decided to surprise me by flying over from New Zealand and arrived halfway through dinner. Again, you simply accommodated it and made it work.

I could genuinely go on and on.

This was, without a doubt, the most special day of our lives, and so much of that is down to you and the incredible amount of work that you and your team put into it. It’s taken me a while to try and come up with the words and it makes me feel so emotional every time I try and talk about it. I really wish you knew just how much we appreciate it. Our guests have also said so many wonderful things about the venue, the team and how perfectly everything was run and how they now ‘get it’. They understand why we dragged them all the way from home and why it had to be Colshaw hall.

We will never forget our wedding day, and Colshaw Hall will forever hold such a special place in our hearts.

We got married at Colshaw Hall last week and it was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more.
From the day we booked our wedding 2 years ago until the day itself, everything was seamless and the team were all so helpful answering any of our questions and helping us plan our dream day.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning with the most gorgeous ceremony room, and suite for the wedding breakfast & evening reception. The grounds are immaculate with so many perfect photo opportunities.

Colshaw Hall will forever have a special place in our hearts. The most beautiful wedding venue, where our dreams came true. I could type for hours about all the amazing things about this place, but I will try and summarise...

- Just an absolutely stunning venue. The back drop for photos and videos are insane. Every angle you look at is just pure beauty and elegance
- The staff are absolutely incredible! Every single person was amazing and you can tell how much everyone loves their job and they want you to have the perfect day
- They are forever investing into the business. Colshaw Hall do not stop spending money to make the venue better (which, doesn't even seem possible, it's so perfect). From when we viewed the first time, to getting married 16 months later, the team has upgraded at leats 3 areas, one of which was the new dressing room for the girls and my god, it was beautiful and perfect
- All of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and they couldn't believe how stunning everything is
- The Keys to Colshaw was an amazing experience. By having the entire property to ourselves for the night before and after the wedding, we were able to spend quality time with family and friends and it's something I will never forget.

I just wanted to say a massive thank Katy, Victoria and the whole Colshaw team for organising our special day and making it so seamless. The whole day flowed perfectly and we had the most amazing time! I’m still so emotional that it’s all over - it was perfect! And I want to say a special thank you to Ian brown, our toast master! We had our wedding here on 25th June 2026, one of the hottest days of the year! Despite the heat, the staff did absolutely everything they could to keep us cool, comfortable, and relaxed throughout the day. The venue is simply unbelievable—we couldn't fault it at all. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how beautiful it was!
We had the most amazing day, and it's one I'll truly never forget. A huge thank you to Kirsty, Janice, and our toastmaster, Ian, for making everything run so smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them. We would highly recommend this gorgeous venue.

From our first viewing at Colshaw Hall, we knew it was the venue for us. Not only are the grounds breath taking, and the cremony room, pavilion and peel suite amazing, the staff are so welcoming and invested in your vision. We booked our wedding in Oct 2023 for June 2026 and I can’t tell you how many times we went to Colshaw Hall, just because, and everytime we went, the staff knew who we were and made an effort to talk to us.
Fast forward to our wedding day … Allison was our wedding coordinator and she was the ‘sprinkle of magic’ that I didn’t know I needed! Allison came over to the bridal lodge in the morning to meet myself and my girls and she just brought a calmness to the morning and even more happiness. Allison was right by side from the get go, taking my hand to calm my nerves, grabbing my trainers when I needed comfort, and even fixing & bustling my dress when it all got too much! Allison was also there for the Groom and his guys when they arrived, nothing was too much trouble and our day was perfect and ran so smoothly thanks to Allison and Ian our toastmaster! Ian was amazing at organising the order of the day and our guests and helping the groom and co with their buttonholes and cuff links.
Colshaw Hall is a stunning place to get married but the staff make your vision and your day and I’m honestly sad it’s over, sure I’ll find an excuse to go back at some point!

If you are looking for an exclusive venue to give you the most incredible and special day for your wedding I could not recommend Colshaw Hall enough. In the 18 months from booking the venue to the day the team could not do enough and took all of the stress out of the planning process. On the day itself they make the day so seamless from start to finish that we didnt need to worry or think about a single thing, it was everything we dreamed about for our big day and more. The amount of comments from our guests saying how incredible the setting and venue is said everything, it truly is a special place. Even the morning after for our 30 person breakfast they make the time spent there so incredible and stress free. I would not hesitate slightly recommending Colshaw Hall to friends and family and they fully deserve all of the accolades and awards that they receive.

We got married here on the 26th May 2026 and loved every moment of being at the most special and perfect venue ever.
