When it comes to weddings abroad, there’s no better place to get married than in Italy – and there are heaps of destinations to choose from.
Whether it’s a wedding venue in Venice or a cute spot in Lake Como, you won’t be disappointed.
One area we’re totally obsessed with is Capri – this island is a real place of paradise with an array of incredible spots to say your vows.
Getting to Capri
Making the journey to Capri involves simply flying to either Naples or Sorrento and getting a ferry to the island, with journey times averaging between 40 and 80 minutes each way. The shortest journey option is the ferry ride from Sorrento, with multiple crossings every day making it very easy to commute to your Capri wedding.

Capri’s Two Towns
Capri Town is one of two towns in Capri and is situated in the centre of the island – this is where you’ll find most of the hotels, many of which would make beautiful wedding venues. The vibe in Capri Town tends to be slightly more upmarket and busy so couples who love being surrounded by a ‘buzz’ will love it.
Anacapri is the second of the two towns and is located on a plateau which sits just above Capri. This charming area boasts more of a tranquil and local feel with a quieter ambience, perfect for low key weddings that embrace traditional Italy.

Things to Do
Capri has so much to offer as an Island and one of the main attractions is its beautiful array of caverns and caves. The Grotto Azzurra is famous for its stunning blue colour and is a real sight to behold, along with White Grotta and Green Grotta, two more unique water caves which can be visited by boat.
Day Trips and Mini-Breaks
Getting married in Capri has more positives than you’d imagine and one of them is the fantastic travel connections it has to nearby areas. If you and your wedding party are arriving a short while before the wedding is due to happen, why not have a last minute hen getaway and take a boat trip to the Bay of Naples for a night, or let the guys go on a full day tour of Capri and Sorrento?
If hen and stag nights aren’t what you’re looking for, why not extend your wedding trip into a honeymoon and travel around the surrounding islands? There’s so much to see and what better place to honeymoon in Europe than on the very island you said your vows!?
