Where to begin with Dale and his team (Emily and Rachael)...they were the best investment we made for our wedding.
We chose DAE's Day Management Service, as are couple who had the majority of the suppliers/ideas sorted, but knew we wanted to hand over the reins on the day to someone who could execute our vision, and DAE did that to a T!
We met with Dale before we decided to hire him over 12 months before our big day, and we instantly got on the same wave-length. He assured us he could deliver on our asks and even gave us some ideas we never thought of (including the best wedding invite site, which worked perfectly). After meeting with Dale we were even more excited for our big day (which we didn't know was possible, that's just how magical Dale is!).
Considering we chose the On-the-Day Management, we didn't feel any less than if we were one of Dale's Full Service clients, as we had constant contact on the run-up to the day, and he even provided some perfect wording for our invites.
We then got the pleasure to meet with Emily at our venue who had all the questions we didn't even think of, to ask the venue. If it wasn't for Emily we wouldn't have our vision of having the band we hired play inside, before the ceremony, to then move outside for the post-ceremony drinks - not an easy task when you need to move all the equipment, quietly, during a 30 minute ceremony! She even persuaded the band to play a little longer than originally booked. Thank you - a true supplier whisperer!
Then came the day itself. Because DAE shared a planning sheet with us, we were able to agree on the running order of the day, the 'who's who' and 'who should be where and when', the day went without any hurdles. Writing the plan down is one thing, but effortlessly delivering it, in such a calming way, was another. Dale was always on hand to make sure we were fed and watered (which you can easily miss as you're always in demand to get round the guests and take photos). He also rushed back to the bridal suite to grab my flats, in time for the first dance.
Dale and Rachael were the perfect team to have on the day, their communication between themselves was so smooth that we never doubted their decisions.
In all honesty, it didn't feel like we hired DAE, it felt like we invited friends that just so happen to be the the best wedding planners; they were so easy and relaxing to talk to and spend time with.
Their efforts did not go a miss, as captured by my Grandma who wrote to me the next day "Thank you to your wedding Planner, Dale. He made the day extra special being a joy to deal with, easy to talk to and even offering to carry my shoes for me while I tackled the stairs. Would recommend him for anyone planning a wedding." Our wedding day was almost 2 weeks ago now and we are still completely in awe of the entirety of the day. It was beyond perfect. We are also already missing the planning and build up - a process which could have been hugely stressful and, thanks to Dale, was instead a lot of fun.
