Hello, I'm Shelley, a documentary-style wedding photographer - capturing the story of your day as it unfolds. It's all the in- between moments that are happening throughout your day that matter and make up your story. The love, hugs, tears, fun and laughter. The funny moments like the little page boy peeing in the pond (yes, that really happened), the flower girl gathering confetti, your best man doing his best John Travolta moves and the glances you make to each other throughout your day.

I take your happiness very seriously and appreciate that every wedding is as different as you, the couple. I've photographed over 150 weddings, so you're in safe hands. I always like to meet couples before, so that you can tell me more about yourselves, your wedding plans and of course, so you feel like you know me a bit too, and I'm not a stranger on the day. Planning a wedding is like a part-time job, so I appreciate there's a lot to do. I am always on hand for any advice and help leading up to your big day.

Relaxed, Natural Photography

Everyone can feel nervous in front of the camera and I don't know many people who say they like to be photographed. The beauty of a more natural and relaxed approach is that I blend into the background. I'm capturing whatever is happening as it happens and you are enjoying your day so much you don't realise I am there.

Most people say that they love the photographs I took when they didn't realise I was there, and your day is made up of all those moments. Of course, everyone wants those photographs with their family and friends too, so I'll always encourage you to give me a list of your, 'must have' photos beforehand so we can capture those.. No-one wants to be like a toy soldier feeling awkward and posing, so they become a fun part of your day. I also tend to sneak off with you both so we can get some couple shots, but you are focusing on each other, not me and so they become natural and relaxed too.

More Than Just Your Photographer

I am your photographer, yes, but importantly I am here to help you. Beforehand leading up to your day that might be with deciding whether to do speeches before or after dinner, what confetti to choose, who to sit where,timelines and how long things take and on it goes.

On the day itself, I am part of your team in whatever way you need me, from dress fluffer, button hole fixer, family wrangler, to food and drinks organiser or toddler distractor. Whether Dad has disappeared, your veil needs untangling, your bridesmaid's hair is coming undone, or someone can't find the rings, I am there to help keep everything calm and running smoothly, all while being everywhere at once to capture the images and create the story of your day.
