I’m James. I’ve shot weddings across Kent for the past seven years, and I’ve got one rule I never break: I don’t make you stand somewhere you don’t want to stand.
No forced poses, no shot lists a mile long, no chasing you around a field for two hours while your guests wonder where you’ve gone. I hang back, pay attention, and catch the day as it actually happens — your nan laughing at something she shouldn’t, the look your dad gives you before the ceremony, the bit at 11pm when everyone’s stopped performing for the camera and it’s just real.
I only take on 30 weddings a year. Not because I’m precious about it — because it means every couple gets my full attention, not a rushed version of it.

Natural, friendly, skilled
James is incredible. His photos speak for themselves - he captured so many genuine, joyful moments in such a perfect way.
James is a pro at making people feel comfortable - we’ve had so many of our friends and family share how friendly and natural his approach was.
On the day, any nerves we had around being photographed instantly melted. James is kind, encouraging, communicative and, well, just very good at his job! He was everywhere and nowhere at once - catching moments we didn’t even know happened. He was non intrusive while ensuring we received the ‘must have’ photos we’d discussed.
As for the photos themselves, we can’t stop looking at them. Each time we open our digital photo album we notice a different detail and memory.
Friends, family and loved ones have sent so many WhatsApps complimenting our photos - and perhaps the biggest sign of a great photographer… they’ve all changed their profile pictures too!
