Multi award winning James Ball Photography has a skill for capturing authentic moments, with a more relaxed, candid style that reflects the essence of your special day, sprinkled with some editorial creativity. James will guide you when needed to get the best shots, but will won't drag you from pillar to post!
The goal is to create natural, timeless albums that each tell your unique story, with a bit more of a documentary, 'fly on the wall' approach... All whilst also ensuring everyone feels at ease in front of the camera, from all of the intimate moments to the group shots.
It's your wedding day with a photographer present, rather than a photoshoot with a wedding!

Personal service
This is the advantage of dealing with a one man and/or a one women band! You'll only be dealing with just me and/or Hannah, from start-finish depending on your package, so you'll feel completely comfortable around us by time your big day comes. Some companies will sub-contract a photographer, so you don't know who you're getting until the day.

If opting for the joint or video content creator packages, you'll have videos sent to you with 24hrs! Your photography sneak peeks will be received within 48 hours and full story within approx. 8 weeks.

Payment in installments
After recently getting married ourselves, we realised how overwhelming it can be having all your payments due to suppliers at the same time.

We'll take as many photographs of you as a couple or with your families as you require, and since we love getting creative, we also encourage you to spend less time posing and more time on the dance floor.
Your wedding day could be the only day you'll have all your friends and family in the same place - we understand the importance of this and make the most of it!
I (James) often work alongside my wife, Hannah. She is a wedding video content creator providing an unlimited amount of video coverage to you newlyweds, just one night after the wedding! We offer joint packages or, we can be hired solo.

We cannot recommend James highly enough. From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely incredible.
We booked the duo package with James as our photographer and his wife Hannah as our content creator, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Both of them were so personable while still being total professionals. Everyone felt completely at ease around them — our families, our wedding party, and even the kids (who adored them and our daughter constantly asks to speak to them!). Nothing ever felt forced or awkward; it was just real moments, real laughter, and so much joy.
What really set James apart was how much he became part of the whole experience. He and Hannah were in on the family jokes (including the infamous “nature swim” 😂), chatting with everyone the night before, and laughing with our guests again at breakfast the next morning. It genuinely felt like they were just part of the group, which made everything feel even more relaxed and special.
The sneak peeks came through so quickly that we got to completely melt over them while on our mini-moon, which was the perfect way to relive the day. And the photos themselves are honestly everything we could have wished for. James captured the colours, the feelings, and the atmosphere of the day so perfectly, and his editing style brings it all together in a way that feels timeless, natural, and so us. Every time we look at them, we’re right back in those moments.
Honestly, we’ll genuinely miss getting to spend time with both James and Hannah, but we’re so grateful for the impact they had on our wedding and the experience they helped create. We’re excited to keep watching their careers flourish, and we know that every future couple who books them is going to have the absolute best time. James is someone we would recommend again and again without hesitation.

On the day itself, James went above and beyond to ensure every moment we wanted captured was beautifully documented. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for better photos - they exceeded all expectations. Not only is James an incredibly talented photographer, but he’s also a truly lovely human being. Kind, respectful, joyful, and professional - he brought such a positive energy to the day and made us feel completely at ease, especially during the more intimate shots of just the two of us.
After the wedding, James was impressively quick in sharing sneak peeks (much faster than I expected!), and the full album followed just a few weeks later - beautifully edited and thoughtfully curated.

When we first got in contact with James he was professional, very friendly and very organised which continued throughout the lead up to our wedding day and on the day itself.
As soon as James turned up on the morning of our wedding, it felt like he was a friend. He made every single one of our guests comfortable and made them feel at ease. Throughout the day our guests were commenting on what a lovely person James is.
During the whole day, James took every opportunity to capture unique and fun photos. For our bridesmaids and groomsmen’s shots, he even stopped the traffic in Regents Street to get some fun shots.
The photos we’ve already received are amazing and we couldn’t be happier. We’re looking forward to sitting down and looking at the whole album.

Wow wow wow what an amazing experience
Hannah and James made everything so easy and relaxed from start to finish.
They made sure we got every shot we wanted (especially the confetti one!), and even with the tricky weather, they timed everything perfectly. Big shoutout to James for the very effective rain dance! 😄
The highlight video the next day was such a treat—it was so special to relive the magic right away. Then just two days later, we got our sneak peek photos, and they were absolutely stunning. Every moment was captured beautifully.
