Fairytale day
We would like to thank Alison who took over from Faye and helped plan our wedding from start to end. She made sure all the planning ran smoothly and helped with all questions we had over the planning period.
She was extremely kind and understanding with our disability requirements for family.
Nothing felt like a stupid question and everything was handled quickly and efficiently.
On the day we weren't blessed with the best weather but the team at Knebworth were very flexible and helpful which made everything 10x better.
Martin our events manager was amazing, always on hand, very experienced and couldn't do enough for us.
Martin made me feel at ease the entire day. From helping with brollys in the rain to checking the wine on the table.
He was extremely helpful with the photos and helping us get some last minute photos when the rain did eventually stop.
After what I can only describe as one of the best days to remember, Martin was there till the very end of the night. As the guests left very happy and a little drunk I told the dj to pack away and Martin was there making sure everything was going smoothly. I feel he was an absolute star and a massive asset to the team. We have bragged to many people of how well we were looked after.
Also 1st class event specialists were amazing. we were blown away with the amazing job she did to make the venue match our personality best!
After looking through our pictures we are over the moon with how well everything turned out and how beautiful it all looked.

A beautiful venue, but we cannot recommended
Knebworth House is a beautiful venue, and despite everything, we had the most incredible wedding day. The food was fantastic and we would like to shout out the on-the-day staff as they were absolutely great, too! However, we unfortunately cannot recommend the venue to other couples if they value communication.
We have sent feedback directly to the team which they have responded to, so our review here will not contain anything unknown to them. We will not go into great detail as they are now equipped to improve if they choose to action the feedback, but we felt it best to share part of our experience, in the hope that another couple will have the information they need to make an informed choice for them.
One of the key points in our feedback was around communication. Both my partner and I value communication above all else, and unfortunately this is where Knebworth fell flat for us. We had a longer-than-typical engagement (approx. 2 years) and in this time there were changes in staff. Whilst this was beyond the team’s control, what was in their control is how this was communicated. We found out our wedding co-ordinator had left because I had emailed in some questions and received an automated response stating that she no longer worked there. Whilst I did receive a call after I emailed to ask for clarity, I feel this information could have been relayed more proactively, in a way that would have instilled more trust with the venue staff. We had a very similar thing happen again later, so we are confident this wasn’t a one-off communication error. And, even after forwarding my questions on after the follow-up call, it took 23 days to get a response.
And I think the main point around their communication is that it wasn’t proactive, but very reactive. For example, we were told that menu tastings would take place 6 months before our wedding, but I had to email to ask when it would be scheduled, and was given a date that was originally within 2 months of our wedding day. This would have been just after Christmas, and would have been peak wedding prep time being so close to the big day, so it just wouldn’t have been sufficient time. This was rectified after a back-and-forth, but I feel again, things were just a bit disorganised and poorly communicated, and there were just too many instances like this for us to be comfortable with recommending the venue.
There are several more points we could make, as our planning process unfortunately has many more examples of poor communication or other issues entirely. But as mentioned, the venue has been given this feedback and so this review is just to provide others with a view of our experiece. Communicating with the venue was our single most stressful part of wedding planning, and unfortunately this didn't change even on the morning of the wedding itself. We hope this honest review helps another couple; we’ve had the joy of writing so many lovely reviews following our wedding, and we are sad that this unfortunately isn’t one of them.

Highly recommend!
Knebworth House was the first venue we viewed and we instantly knew this was our venue. We got married in the Manor Barn and had our reception in the Lodge Barn. Kelly helped us planning our big day. Having no idea how to plan a wedding, Kelly's expertise and calmness was very much appreciated and welcomed. She helped us making the day our own.
Martin, Brock and Joanne, thank you all so much for your work on our big day and making sure it went so smoothly. Special thanks to Martin who stood around with drinks for me and my husband when we took our photos! Such a little detail which made us feel very special!
The barns themselves have such nice character and the fairy lights created a very romantic atmosphere. The team quickly rearranged the Manor Barn from the ceremony setting to the wedding breakfast setting. They did all the work and I did not have to worry about it.
We had a wedding tasting earlier in the year and we go to try a starter, main and dessert each. All of our guest have, since the wedding, said how much they loved the food! My husband and I agree, it was very nice!
Overall, we would highly recommend Knebworth Barns and their team. We had the most amazing day that we will remember for years to come.

A dream wedding venue!
Our wedding day was absolutely amazing and we can’t thank the team at Knebworth House & Barns enough for everything they did. The whole planning process from start to finish was made incredibly easy by Rachel and no request was too big. Whenever we had a question, she would always respond promptly and we really appreciated her flexibility and help in making our wedding day so perfect.
The day itself was very smooth and just wanted to give a special shout out to both Martin and Jadine who did a brilliant job of coordinating all suppliers and guests to ensure everyone knew where they needed to be. The attention to detail was amazing and it was very evident to everyone how much the team at Knebworth House & Barns all cared about making our wedding such a special day. All the guests were in awe of the venue and had a great time both during the drinks reception in the Sunken Lawn but also in the Manor & Lodge Barns which looked stunning.
Everyone loved the food, from the canapés and wedding breakfast to the evening baps, which were all delicious and presented beautifully (a special shout out to the chefs for working with us to tailor the dishes and for such a stunning menu!). All the team and staff on the day were incredibly friendly and helpful and were very popular with all the guests.

The perfect wedding venue
We had such an amazing wedding day at Knebworth. Rachel was brilliant throughout the whole process, really looking after us and responding super quickly to questions. We had several pre wedding meetings to make sure everything was as we wanted on the day and nothing was too much trouble.
Martin, Rachel and the team also looked after us so well on the day. It was so obvious how important it was to them to make sure we had the best wedding possible and they really delivered. They looked after us and our guests every second and everyone was bowled over by how amazing it was.
We feel very lucky to have had our wedding with the Knebworth team!

Amazing, helpful, accomodating

5 Star venue and service - couldn't recommend enough!!
Everything from the venue, to every individual member of staff, were absolutely fantastic!! Our wedding planner was brilliant all the way through, and the staff on the day were 100% the reason for why everything went so smoothly. Our day was even better than we imagined, and these guys were the reason!! Reasonably priced compared to other similar venues in the area, and were very accommodating. Couldn't recommend enough x

A perfect day - it could not have gone better.
It might sound cliché, but this was truly the best day of our lives (after our own wedding, of course). My daughter was married in the magnificent gardens of Knebworth; fortunately the weather was beautiful, which made for such a memorable day. The staff were terrific, we hardly noticed them, which is a sign of great efficiency, yet everything was where is should be at the right time. The day could not have gone better, and many of our guests have commented that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The wedding breakfast was delicious, the service was seamless and all of the staff were courteous and professional. We could not have asked for a more perfect day for our daughter and her husband.

Flexible, organised, 2 barns!
There were three main highlights from our wedding at Knebworth barns. The first was the flexibility, mainly around our food. The team had absolutely no problem in adapting one of their menu main courses to be smaller and served to a few people as a starter (the duck egg, superb), and then organised a superb ‘off-menu’ roast/carvery as the main course.
It was also really easy to arrange the reception, the Knebworth team liaising direct with the suppliers, band, and photographer took a weight off our shoulders trying to put all parties in touch.
And finally, the venue. We chose the old barns and having two barns for our exclusive use was brilliant. It meant no hanging around waiting for tables etc to be moved before the evening reception started, and the change in scenery (albeit to the barn next door) for the breakfast was refreshing. And the outdoor space, even in November, was excellent for people to have a quieter (and cooler, ceilidhing works up a sweat!) place to sit and chat.
I would absolutely recommend Knebworth barns to anyone looking for a smooth booking experience, to anyone who wants the option to adapt certain aspects of the reception to their own specific requirements, and to anyone looking for a classic but at the time slickly modern venue.

Beautiful venue for a wedding
We had our wedding in the house with the reception in the barns at the end of September 2022. We were very lucky with the weather and had some beautiful photos from our day. The staff were really friendly and helpful, everyone commented on how good the food was and we had a wonderful day.
