While our interactions with some of the OFD staff were professional - my partner and I found the food shockingly underwhelming for the super high price point and we absolutely did not want to serve mediocre tasting but "fancy looking" food to loved ones who would be attending our wedding from around the world. Based on the reviews online and how strongly our venue recommended OFD we expected it to be high-end restaurant quality food.

Despite selecting what we thought was a smart assortment of menu items that would be crowd pleasers, we were so deeply disappointed and unimpressed by the quality of nearly everything they put in front of us. We are not picky eaters but we found that even "classics" like the Beef Wellington at our tasting was an under seasoned meat sponge that was also almost too large in portion.

While plated nicely, nearly everything we tried was over or under seasoned. When we voiced our disappointment, we were told we could instruct their chefs to adjust seasoning to our taste. While my husband and I are excellent home cooks, we didn't imagine we'd have to add "micromanaging professional chefs" on our very long list of wedding planning tasks (also, we live abroad so we wouldn't be able to arrange follow up tastings).

Based on my experience, I would strongly urge couples getting married to request a tasting **before** putting down a deposit but they may not be flexible enough to allow that it is still worth asking! Especially if you weigh the importance of food quality / taste above optics. We were glad we didn't proceed with OFD in the end and instead found out a very renowned famous London chef's restaurants now cater in Oxfordshire! No regrets

The whole process with OFD was fantastic. The team was super helpful from day 1 and helped us with the planning so much. Stacey on the day was an absolute gem and everything went smoothly. The food was perfect, we received a lot of compliments about it, which was very important to us as we are big foodies. I can't thank them enough for helping us making our day perfect!

We're just writing to say a huge thank you for the wonderful reception you provided for Joanna and Kyle's wedding last Saturday. Everything was absolutely perfect and your attention to detail impeccable. The food was delicious and has been commented on by many of the guests, who were particularly keen to know how you managed to prevent the broccoli from being squishy! I didn't need to worry about portion size - there was plenty and we particularly appreciated the green vegetables, as these are often minimal. The waiting staff were friendly and discreet and one only had to mention non-alcoholic wine and it was provided every time without asking again. Thank you too for being patient with us on the Friday when I'm sure we got in your way while you were setting up and we were doing flowers. Finally a big thank you to Vanessa, whose welcoming smile made us feel at ease from the beginning and was a great comfort throughout the event. Once the official photos come through, we'll send any relevant ones to you and please feel free to use these on the website etc.

OFD creates an elegant post wedding drinks and canapé reception in the Bodleian Library for us. Everything looked exactly as we’d hoped and the staff were lovely, including pink cocktails in china cups. The whole development process was easy, which was a big plus for us as we had to accommodate dietary requirements. Thank you so much for everything!

Oxford Fine Dining catered our wedding at the Bodleian and it was absolutely perfect. I was impressed by the level of service and their ability to provide support and recommendations for florists, lighting, etc. We decided to throw this Oxford party quite last minute and they rose to the challenge of preparing everything. Melissa was a joy to work with! Our guests continue to talk about the food we served 9 months later. The plating was beautiful and it was delicious. They took care everything on the day so w could enjoy and dance our hearts out! I would absolutely recommend Oxford Fine Dining to anyone and only wish they could cater for our wedding in Lahore next year!
