Beautiful bridal boutique covering plus size brides too

Carolyn and the team were amazing from start to finish.

What a lovely bridal boutique. I was made to feel welcome and was free to choose which ever dress I wanted, being plus size I thought it would be a problem.

I was guided to a dress that suited the brief I gave and wow it was stunning. I fell in love and shed a few tears!

The in house alterations made the process seamless (excuse the pun)

Avoid avoid avoid!



I went with Olivia George Bridal because I had heard good things and thought I was signing up for a professional service. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I picked a beautiful off-the-shoulder dress but made it clear to Carolyn that I was nervous, as I am not someone who wanted everything on show. I specifically asked about “Boomba” inserts (which help with lift and support) and was told by Carolyn that they were “just an Instagram fad” and not to worry if I wasn’t planning to do much dancing. Instead, she added extra boning for support and assured me this would be enough.

I had two fittings with Carolyn and raised concerns both times about support. Each time, I was told “no” and that nothing further was needed.

On my actual wedding day, while walking down the aisle, the boning buckled. I might as well not have been wearing anything supportive at all. As the day went on, it only got worse. I ended up having to use the loops as straps—on the very dress I had said I didn’t want. To make things worse, my bustle broke before I had even done the first dance.

The result? I spent the day feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and miserable in a dress that I grew to hate. It completely stole the joy and sparkle from what should have been the best day of my life.

The next day, I spent most of it crying, angry at myself for trusting Carolyn’s so-called “professional advice.” When I wrote to her and explained what happened, I politely asked for a small refund to help cover editing my photos (so I could actually bear to use them). Instead, I was hit with “terms and conditions” and told she wasn’t responsible.

What upset me most is that I had specifically asked for guidance and trusted her expertise—yet she ignored my concerns and went against even her own company guidelines.

When I mentioned that I would be leaving a review, her response was, “I have hundreds of happy brides.” My husband and I even tried to call to resolve this like adults, but she refused to speak to us.

Carolyn does not care. She is extremely rude and dismissive.

Write whatever reply you like, Carolyn—I’ve had enough of your emails.
Good luck with your future. I truly hope you find the help you need in business.
