When I got engaged I knew I wanted to wear a version of my Mum’s dress on my wedding day, Lisa had previously created a beautiful custom gown for my Dad and Step-Mum’s wedding, and when I discovered that she offers a service reworking vintage and heirloom dresses, I had to get in touch.

From our very first phone call, Lisa was just as excited and enthusiastic as I was about the project. We talked through my ideas and how we could transform the dress into my dream dress while keeping its sentimental heart intact.

Throughout every fitting, Lisa was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. When I couldn’t decide between having sleeves or not, she came up with the perfect solution, detachable sleeves, allowing me to customise my look on the day. It was such a thoughtful touch that reflected her creativity, skill and understanding of her indecisive client!

Lisa treated my very special, sentimental dress with such care and respect, and the final result was beyond anything I could have imagined. Her work is beautiful and finished to the highest standard, but most importantly the dress remained recognisable, keeping the elements I loved most, yet felt fresh, modern, and uniquely mine.

I’m so happy I trusted Lisa with such an important task. My only complaint is that I only get to wear it once!

I went to Lisa when my sister recommended her after she made her a dress for her wedding in South Africa. I first went to her around March 2024. I had no idea what I wanted so tried some different styles with Lisa. I then found another dress at a bridal shop and explained to Lisa I found something else. She was so happy for me and wished me all the best… 5 Months later, around August I decided I didn’t want this other dress, so sent a quick email over to Lisa asking if it was too late to try again. From that moment I knew I’d made the best decision! We began the dress making process together, looking at the dress I previously put a deposit down on and why it wasn’t right for me. I also sent her a few pics of what I had in mind, Lisa took every single thing I said on board and made really great suggestions to enhance my vision- if I said no or didn’t feel quite right about a colour or piece of material she didn’t push anything on me just went away and found new materials to try. The dress making process was amazing to see, every couple of weeks when I went to my appointments, there were more things added to my dress!
Lisa makes all her dresses from her home and is super flexible with timings which was so great for me. It meant I could pop over evenings after work or weekends.
Her pricing process was easy, I just transferred a deposit over and when I paid off the whole dress, the pricing was more than reasonable, especially as this dress was a one of a kind, unique dress made just for me! That makes this all really special.
I was an incredible experience seeing a wedding dress made from scratch and Lisa is extremely talented and really allows you to follow your own vision. I couldn’t have been happier with my wedding dress- it is something I will treasure forever. I would highly recommend Lisa to every future bride!

I saw a photo of one of Lisa's designs at the start of my search, and it stayed with me while I looked in boutiques and stores. Then I met Lisa, saw the dress design, and that was that. I can't recommend Lisa enough. She was so kind to work with, she genuinely listened to me. Lisa really cares about her work, and that is evident in the quality of her creations. I couldn't be happier with my wedding dress - it's elegant, detailed but not fussy. I wore the dress, the dress didn't wear me. I have had so many compliments from my friends and family about the dress, including 'stunning' and 'exquisite'. I loved wearing Lisa's design. The cost is such good value for money, and because Lisa can make bespoke touches, I love knowing that no other bride will ever have the exact same dress as I wore on my wedding day.

Lisa is hugely knowledgeable and just incredible at what she does, I always felt in safe hands. I was very indecisive with design decisions which couldn't have been easy to work with (sorry Lisa!!), but Lisa always took on board my thoughts and helped to guide me through the process, and I was so happy with my dress in the end. The entire process was an amazing and unique experience, and so reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend!

Lisa is amazing & I would recommend her to anyone. Initially I took my dress to Lisa for alterations but I later decided I wanted to restyle of the skirt section. We were against the clock as my wedding was only 6 weeks away & Lisa was so flexible with appointments, fitting me in out of hours. Her attention to detail is first class & she really cares. I felt my dress was in safe hands & she reassured me it would be finished in time & all would be ok. Thank you Lisa!

Lisa was absolutely a delight to work with! I ordered my wedding dress form a boutique on the slightly later side and they couldn't accommodate me for alterations in a less than 10 week period. I messaged Lisa and she was able to see me that week (around my rather inflexible schedule). My alterations were perfect - dress fit me like a glove and she added an easy-to-manuever bustle for my long train - I felt so beautiful! Alterations were completed in a really timely fashion. She was also very communicative and easy to get in touch with. I would recommend her to any bride!

Lisa turned a sketch I had roughly drawn into my dream wedding dress with expert skill. She made the whole process so much fun, I would highly recommend her!

I couldn’t believe my luck when I found Lisa! She is incredibly lovely, patient and flexible. She is extremely talented and had the most stunning and comfortable dresses, I fell in love with one, and she then made me my own version from scratch with a handful of changes I wanted - all for significantly less than the cost of all the other dresses I’d tried on in boutiques/shops! Plus if you happen to already know exactly what you want, Lisa can make that for you too :) So I would recommend Lisa to ANYONE looking for a wedding dress (and I do!!), because she is a dream to work with and will give you your dream dress. At least that part of the wedding planning can be enjoyable and stress free!

It was an amazing feeling wearing a hand made, one of a kind, bespoke wedding dress that I had designed myself, and I am so thankful to Lisa for putting my vision together. The process is fun from seeing sketches, choosing fabrics, trying on mock ups, to the finishing touches! I changed my mind along the way and this was never too much trouble either. Lisa also came on the day to steam my dress which was such a great help and took that extra pressure off. Thank you Lisa!

Lisa was fantastic throughout my experience with her. She had a lot of work to do on my dress to make it fit me after I purchased it from the dress shop. In the end my dress fitted me perfectly and she also altered my bridesmaids dresses which were a very difficult satin material. They all looked incredible in them when she had finished them and you’d never know the material had been touched at all. From our first consultation meeting, Lisa understood the perils of wedding dress shopping and guided me through her process. I'm so grateful to have found Lisa. My experience with Lisa was an absolute joy. We worked together to create a 'Sunday Funday' dress for our continued celebrations the day after our wedding. I was initially quite nervous about creating a bespoke dress, however Lisa put me at ease throughout the process and listened so intently to my ideas and guided me through from initial sketches to the final fitting.

Lisa did my bridal dress alterations and on the day steaming service! It was a joy from start to finish, visiting her studio in Harpenden for fittings through to on the day when she made my dress look picture perfect even showing the bridesmaids how to dress me and handle the dress on the day!
