Beauty, Hair & Make Up in Somerset

I was very pleased to have Soaf as my hair and make-up artist. She paid attention to the style that I was wanting and the hair and make-up trial was great to try out different things. I don't wear make-up a lot, so I didn't have much idea of what I wanted to begin with and it was good to talk it through with her. I'm really happy with the end result, and my hair and make-up still looked great at the end of the day! She was very friendly and I would recommend her.

Helen did the hair for the bride, mother of the bride and maid of honour at St Audries Park in Somerset. She did an absolutely amazing job and all of our beautiful hairstyles stayed in place throughout the whole day! Helen was so calm and efficient and made the ‘getting ready’ so enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to future wedding parties.

My friend treated me to my make up for an evening out who already knew and recommended Aldona. I was put at ease and could tell that Aldona knew her stuff by her confidence, friendliness and professionalism just knowing what would suit me as I don’t normally wear make up and as I am older as well, I was a little concerned that I would end up looking like an old clown. She also advised on my dry skin and I felt absolutely amazing when she was finished. Would thoroughly recommend Aldona

Hayley was fantastic from the very first communication. She was warm and accommodating at the trial and quickly got the look I was going for. Communication was excellent on the run up to the wedding and the bridesmaids were all able to chat through with her their styles. On the day she was punctual and immediately made all of the bridal party feel at ease. She was warm, friendly and bubbly and got immersed in our bridal prep party. She fitted in seamlessly to our morning and it was like she was one of the girls. Would not hesitate in recommending her to any bride to be!

Hayley is such an exceptionally talented make up and hair artist and you truly cannot get any better; she is truly beautiful inside and out and her ability to make you feel wonderful absolutely shines through. As someone with shorter hair and a specific vision on how I wanted to look, Hayley listened and went above and beyond to give me my dream bridal look. I didn’t want to look like every other bride and Hayley delivers your individualised look based on both your own wishes and what will work well on your skin and hair to create an incredible look. On the day of my wedding, I had a bit of a crisis and Hayley was calm, compassionate and very patient which is just what I needed. I cannot recommend her enough. There are make-up artists out there who deliver a one size fits all uniform look for every bride and then there is Hayley who’s advanced skills will have you looking beautifully unique according to exactly what you want.

I searched for ages to find the right makeup artist. I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, and as soon as I found Justine’s page, I just knew she was the one for me. I’ve been a bit obsessed with her work ever since! We’d been chatting because I also work in the wedding industry, and from the moment I booked her, she was so kind, professional, and generous with her time. My consultation was wonderful, I absolutely loved being pampered and soaking up all of her expertise (and yes, I bombarded her with questions!). In the lead-up to the wedding, I made a few changes to what I wanted, and on the morning itself, Justine took so much care to tailor everything to exactly what I wanted. She constantly checked in with me, happily adjusted anything I asked, and made sure I felt completely comfortable. When I saw the final look, I couldn’t believe it. It was my dream makeup. Despite months of skin prep, stress had got to me and it showed on my skin but somehow Justine made me look radiant. My makeup felt light and airy, never heavy or uncomfortable, yet it gave me the most beautiful coverage. My skin looked dewy and glowy, and I honestly felt so beautiful. I’d always assumed I’d be self-conscious looking back at my wedding photos, but I couldn’t stop smiling. I looked at every photo thinking, my goodness, I actually look amazing! The only sad part is that I don’t get to look like that every day! Justine was an absolute dream to work with. She was kind and patient with my bridesmaids and my mum who looked stunning too. She even gave me the cutest little top-up kit which I completely forgot to use because my makeup stayed perfect all day and night! I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough. She made me feel like the most beautiful person in the world, and that confidence stayed with me the whole day. I loved my makeup, I loved how I looked, and I absolutely love her.

Jane exceeded expectations I had for my bridal makeup! She was warm, friendly, and professional. Whilst having my makeup done on my big day, she eased all of my anxiety immediately. I have chronic pain issues and she made sure I took breaks, stretched, and made sure I was comfortable — all of which I always feel awkward to ask for normally. I am normally wear an alternative/gothic look but I wanted something moody but still bridal for the big day and wanted to include our autumnal feel for the wedding. She went above and beyond to help create this vision and I had so many compliments all day. The makeup didn’t budge all day, despite us experiencing rain, storms, hail and strong winds. I would recommend her to anyone! Thank you so much, Jane!

Sarah was absolutely fantastic. The hair and make-up she did was beautiful (she is incredibly skilled), but on top of that, she is such a warm and genuine person. I felt like I could put total trust in her from the trial, and on the morning of the wedding Sarah was relaxed, confident and friendly. I was so pleased with my gorgeous boho updo (as were my bridesmaids with their hair) - all I can say is, you won't regret booking her!! Thank you so much Sarah!

Maddy was fantastic. She is so calm and easy to talk to, she put me at ease and calmed my nerves for the big day. I am so pleased with my hair and makeup for my wedding day. The trial was great and Maddy really listens to what you want. Can’t recommend Maddy enough.

I could not recommend Rachel enough! She is absolutely amazing and made me and my bridesmaids feel amazing. She listened to everyone with how they would like their makeup, but also recommended what would go with each person. None of us wore makeup everyday and so we were made to feel comfortable and did not use too much. Rachel is professional and friendly.
