    The most amazing wedding day 01.10.2021

    After postponing our wedding for a year due to Covid, we finally had our day on 01.10.2021. What can I say… the most amazing day we could of wished for. Krystyna was great all throughout our planning and made us feel so special on the day. We had our ceremony in the barn room and reception all at the Talbot. The staff on the day were on point and all our guests said it was the best wedding they had been too. All down to the little details, we couldn’t of faulted anything on the day. For the wedding package and upgrades we made, the Talbot came well within budget and we are so glad we had our big day with you. Thank you again so much.

    Hosted our Dream Wedding!

    I stayed in the bridal suite the nights before and after the wedding. Absolutely gorgeous room - very spacious with a large bathroom (perfect for getting ready for the Big Day!). Room came with the usual tea/coffee-making facilities, as well as shampoo/body wash and hair dryer. Two armchairs and coffee table, as well as a dresser and very comfortable bed. As I said, lots of space for the hair/make-up artist, photographer, me and my sister when getting ready on the morning of the wedding.

    The bridal suite is right above reception and the room where you have your interview with the registrar, which was so handy. Krystyna (the wedding planner at the Talbot) was able to pop up easily to collect me for my registrar interview and the reception staff were on hand for any queries.

    My sister and I had a meal in the restaurant the night before the wedding. Food was absolutely gorgeous, there was a wide variety on the menu and it was reasonably priced. The waiting staff couldn't do enough for us!

    One negative thing I would say is that the rooms do not have air conditioning and the bridal suite was like a furnace! Staff did provide two fans, but the windows don't open properly and we were baking (this was in the middle of the July heatwave)! Restaurant staff kept giving us bottles of ice water, which was very kind. The bridal suite overlooks the street as well, and there was a bit of noise from the traffic from about 4am onwards. I probably would have slept through it had I not been so excited/nervous about the wedding!

    The next day, the staff were kind enough to allow me to grab some things from the breakfast bar and take them up to the bridal suite to eat while I was getting ready. The breakfast food was splendid - the usual options of pastries, yoghurts, cereal, toast and/or a cooked breakfast. Tea and coffee is brought to your table and there is a variety of fruit juice/ ice water on hand as well.

    The Talbot then hosted my dream wedding! Krystyna was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole booking process, as well as two date changes due to the Covid pandemic. I booked the Talbot because all the other venues I looked at didn't have any variety or options to adapt their packages. My now-husband and I wanted a BBQ and a disco, not a three-course meal that no-one would actually like. The Talbot said, 'tell us what you want and we'll make it happen.' And they did exactly that!

    When the pandemic broke out, Krystyna allowed us to change the date twice without any additional charges, which we really appreciated.

    On the day of the wedding, the staff were like Swiss clocks - Krystyna took my fiancé in for his registrar interview and then got the guests sitting down so that no-one would see me. She then came to get me for my interview and then accompanied me and the flower girls to the ceremony. After the ceremony, the bride and groom are taken to the Talbot's beautiful garden and then guests are led out as well. Guests were given prosecco/orange juice and free to sit anywhere. One of my fondest memories of the day is how relaxed everyone was, sitting on pub-style garden tables and chatting after two years of being unable to see each other.

    Photos were taken at the far end of the garden, where there is a gorgeous arbour bench (I think they're called) and large bushes for photos.

    We then went back inside (where staff had seamlessly changed the room around for a meal) for the most amazing barbecue we could have hoped for - burgers, chicken skewers, sausages, a variety of salads, jacket potatoes... Guests all said they were absolutely stuffed by the end, which was exactly what we wanted!

    The Talbot then hosted our disco and allowed us to have a hired photo booth as well. The music needed to stop at midnight, but people carried on chatting and there was no pressure to leave or anything. The Talbot does have technology in place to shut the sound off if it gets too loud, but this only happened once during the whole evening and is there to protect their neighbours, so you can't complain - just ask your DJ not to play Peter Andre's 'Mysterious Girl' as that's what set us all off and caused the sound to shut down :P

    Beautiful breakfast the next day out in the garden. There is also an air-conditioned conservatory-style room (I think they call it the Garden Room), which was so relaxing and peaceful.

    Can't recommend the Talbot enough - whether that's for a wedding, a meal out or an overnight stay :)

    Emily & Luke’s wedding

    Amazing venue - everything was perfect and the actual day ran so smoothly! Krystyna was fab with communication the whole time and she was pregnant whilst doing it! Hotel staff where helpful and amazing! Couldn’t have had a more perfect day!

    The best day

    We held our wedding at The Talbot in July, about a week after restrictions were lifted. Throughout the whole process Krystyna was so helpful and on the day itself the venue made everything so easy. We didn’t have the best weather, but it didn’t even matter as they were so flexible and helped us keep our guests dry. It’s an amazing venue, everyone is so friendly, the food is great and it’s beautiful there. Would 100% recommend

    Gave us the most perfect day

    The Talbot Inn Hotel was the perfect place for our wedding. We booked in October 2020 and met with Krystyna who is just amazing. We got married in the Barn and we had 28 guests. The venue was perfect and we used Ether events to decorate the venue which made it even more beautiful. We also had the bar area attached the barn which was a perfect space for our cake, sweet stand, some games, guest book and where we had our first dance.
    I stayed the night before with my bridesmaid and this was all arranged with Krystyna and she met with us in the morning and facilitated everything, nothing was too much trouble.
    In the lead up to the wedding we had zoom chats and she would always reply promptly to emails to but my mind at ease as obviously lots going on with covid.
    We had a package and we had canapés and champagne then the meal and the buffet after. Our guests comments on how amazing the canapés were and the meal was delicious too. The price for the day was really reasonable and you could add bits on and off really easily and amend what we wanted. They were so flexible and we could not ask for more.
    We had a long table of 30 which worked so well for everyone to be together and intimate.
    We had the drinks and canapés in the garden but had the garden room available when there was a bit of rain. Then the courtyard is beautiful during the day and when the lights come on the evening it is so beautiful and we had a few photos in the evening.

    Had the perfect day even in the midst of a pandemic!

    Krystyna and the team at the Talbot were amazing from day one. As soon as we saw the venue and met her we knew this is where we wanted to get married, all the way through the planning process she helped with suppliers and organisation and even when covid laws meant we had to shrink our day, Krystyna was always at the end of the phone to answer our questions and made sure everything was perfect and we all had a good day!

    Beautiful venue with a wonderful and supportive team

    The Talbot, and more importantly Krystyna, were amazing to work with. From our very first meeting with Krystyna, she was incredibly understanding and helpful and ensured we could have exactly the wedding that we wanted. And then COVID happened ... but still, throughout the entire lockdown Krystyna provided regular updates on the situation and how The Talbot were making changes in order to be compliant. We were adamant that our wedding date and getting married was the most important thing, so Krystyna helped us to adjust our plans for the day to ensure we could still go ahead. We ended up just having the ceremony at The Talbot and again, we were given amazing support to ensure that - although different - our day still went off without a hitch! In short, they went above and beyond to help us salvage our day and make sure it was the best it could possibly be. Although we have no intention of getting married again - when we next have a big celebration, and indeed if we decide to redo our reception next year, we will keep The Talbot in mind - it's a beautiful venue with a wonderful and supportive team. Thank you so much for making our dream day a reality - even within these strange times!

    We had the most amazing day

    We recently got married at the Talbot and had the most amazing day. From initially meeting Krystyna we knew we would be looked after, her professionalism, organisational skill and attention to detail made us feel really at ease throughout the planning. The venue itself is beautiful and they recommended some fantastic suppliers for decorating, flowers and DJ. We had a number of family travelling to our wedding and Krystyna kindly organised us to have a rehearsal dinner the night before. Throughout our stay all of the staff were really attentive and could not have done more. Thank you for helping make our day so special!

    I would recommend this venue to any engaged couple

    We got married at the Talbot on the 9th November and our wedding was perfect. From the beginning we were confident it would run smoothly and Krystyna was great with helping us make sure everything we needed for the day was sorted.
    The staff on the day were great and kept everything running smoothly. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue look and how great the food was. I would recommend this venue to any engaged couples.

    Everyone said how wonderful the hotel was

    We got married on Monday, we had a ceremony and evening celebration. Krystyna and the team on the evening could not have done more to make this such a special and memorable day for us. We had guests that had traveled far and everyone said how wonderful the hotel was.

    The team at the Talbot should be very proud of themselves - The venue is perfect for an intimate wedding with up to 60 guests. From the day we first visited the venue up to our wonderful wedding day the staff were attentive and very professional. They all made every possible effort to ensure we had a perfect wedding.     Was truly the most perfect and magical day

    I honestly can’t thank you and the team so much for all the effort and arrangements for our wedding day. It was truly to most perfect and magical day. We couldn’t of wished it asked for anything more.

    Arvind was fantastic, so helpful and efficient with any requests we had throughout the day. He was always there in the background so we never had to go looking for him. Also, a I have to make a special comment for Connor. He was also fantastic and definitely deserves recognition for his hard work along with Arvind - a big gold star ?? or what ever you may do to recognise it for them!

    All of our guest loved the Tablot and thought it was a beautiful venue. There is honestly not one thing I would of changed. Your team are amazing and it’s all thanks to you for organising it all so well with such attention to detail. Thank you sooo much!

    Dean was a massive hit with everyone! The decorations team were just fabulous - both rooms looked absolutely stunning. Jody our photographer was brilliant and we were so happy we chose her. Our DJ was spot on and we loved dancing the night away!

    It was a very hot hot day but we all sucked it up and sweated it out. God knows how I kept going from 4am Sunday morning until 1am Monday morning but I loved every single second and would do anything to re live it all. Louise has already said to us - “can we do it again one day .... maybe you can re-new your vows sometime”.
