We honestly don’t know where to begin because there simply aren’t enough words to describe how incredible our wedding day was at The Talbot.

From the very first time we visited, there was something about The Talbot that just felt right. We could immediately picture ourselves getting married there, but what ultimately made the experience so special wasn’t just the beautiful venue — it was the people.

Throughout the planning process, we mainly dealt with Krystyna, and we genuinely cannot thank her enough. From our very first conversations right through to the weeks leading up to our wedding, she was absolutely fantastic. She was always approachable, incredibly helpful and so patient with us. No question was ever too much, no request was ever made to feel like a hassle, and whenever we needed reassurance, Krystyna was there.

Planning a wedding comes with so many little details, decisions and things to think about, and having someone like Krystyna supporting you makes such a difference. She made us feel that our wedding wasn’t just another booking in the diary. She genuinely cared about our day and wanted everything to be exactly what we hoped it would be.

Unfortunately, Krystyna was on annual leave when our wedding day arrived, which initially made us a little nervous because we’d built such a great relationship with her throughout the planning process. However, we needn’t have worried for a second.

Arvind and Liv were absolutely incredible.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in safe hands. They were attentive, calm, friendly and incredibly professional, but most importantly, they genuinely cared. They took everything in their stride and made sure that we didn’t have to worry about what was happening behind the scenes.

That meant so much to us.

You spend months — sometimes years — thinking about your wedding day. You plan every little detail, imagine what it will feel like and inevitably worry about all the things that could potentially go wrong. Then suddenly the day arrives, and you realise you don’t want to spend a single second worrying about whether everything is happening as it should.

Arvind and Liv made that possible for us.

They allowed us to simply be present.

To enjoy the moment.

To laugh, cry, dance and celebrate with the people we love.

We didn’t have to worry about the timings, the food, the room, our guests or all the little things happening behind the scenes. We knew that Arvind and Liv had everything under control.

And looking back, that is one of the greatest gifts a wedding venue can give you.

The Talbot itself was beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our wedding. Seeing everything come together on the day was genuinely emotional. After spending so long imagining what it would look like, actually walking in and seeing everything we’d planned become a reality was a moment we’ll never forget.

But what really made The Talbot special for us was the atmosphere created by the staff.

Every person we encountered was friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Our guests commented on how lovely everyone was and how smoothly everything seemed to run. There was such a warm and relaxed feeling throughout the day, and it made everyone feel comfortable.

We know that a huge amount of work must have been happening behind the scenes that we never saw. That’s the sign of a truly brilliant wedding team — when everything feels effortless to the couple because someone else is making sure it all happens.

And that’s exactly how it felt.

There were so many emotional moments throughout our day, and having people around us who were so reassuring and supportive made a bigger difference than they will probably ever realise.

Arvind and Liv weren’t simply doing a job. They were helping us through one of the biggest and most emotional days of our lives.

And Krystyna had already laid the foundations for that experience throughout all the months of planning.

Together, they gave us something that is incredibly difficult to put a value on: complete trust.

We trusted them.

And they delivered.

Our wedding day went by far too quickly, as everyone says it does, but when we look back now, we don’t remember worrying about anything. We remember the happiness, the laughter, the tears, the people we love and the incredible memories we made.

That’s exactly what we wanted.

We wanted to get married and actually enjoy our wedding.

The Talbot gave us that.

We will always have a huge amount of affection for The Talbot because it isn’t simply the place where we got married. It is now part of our story and part of some of the happiest memories we will ever have.

To Krystyna — thank you for being there for us throughout the entire journey and for making us feel so looked after. Your kindness, patience and support meant more to us than you probably realise.

To Arvind and Liv — thank you for stepping in on our wedding day and making us feel completely at ease. You were absolutely fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for better people to look after us.

And to everyone else at The Talbot who played a part, whether we knew it or not — thank you.

Thank you for all the hard work that went on behind the scenes.

Thank you for every little detail.

Thank you for every reassuring smile.

Thank you for making our guests feel welcome.

And thank you for helping make our wedding day everything we hoped it would be.

We walked into The Talbot as two people about to get married.

We walked out married, incredibly happy, and with memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.

If you’re considering The Talbot for your wedding, our advice is simple: do it.

We genuinely couldn’t imagine having celebrated our wedding anywhere else.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day at The Talbot in Ripley!

From start to finish, everything was absolutely amazing. Krystyna was simply the best wedding planner we could have wished for. She was so relaxed, calm and reassuring throughout the whole process, making everything feel completely effortless and allowing us to enjoy every moment of our special day. She truly helped make the day sail by so smoothly.

And the venue itself what more could we possibly want? A beautiful wedding venue, a fantastic hotel and a great pub all in one place! It made everything so easy for us and our guests, and the atmosphere was just perfect.

The wedding breakfast was absolutely incredible too. We have honestly never seen so many empty plates at a wedding before! 😂 Every dish was delicious and clearly went down a treat with everyone.

The Talbot in Ripley is, without a doubt, the most amazing wedding venue. We couldn’t recommend Krystyna and the whole team highly enough. They helped make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more, and we’ll always be so grateful.

An absolutely gorgeous wedding venue. After first getting in touch, responses were quick and professional, we weren’t local and Krystyna was more than happy to provide us with video calls instead to help move the process along. She was detail orientated and we were able to leave everything in her hands and we were not disappointed! There were varying tiers of packages and everything was customisable, making it extremely good value. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding. We didn’t have to pay above and beyond to tailor the package to be completely personalised to us and this was a huge bonus compared to other venues. We could not recommend enough! We used their recommended supplier Ether Events for our flowers and all decoration, which was more perfect than I could have ever imagined, and then the decor we brought ourselves Krystyna perfectly set up alongside it. We cannot thank the team enough, it was the best day & one we will remember forever!

After viewing multiple venues looking for that rustic vibe with lots of character when we entered the Talbot Inn we were finally greeted with a location that had everything we needed in one place with a realistic value for money.
We were sold on the beautiful details of the barn and the main building and overjoyed that we wouldn't have to cart our families around to multiple locations in order to provide a ceremony, reception and accommodation.
The cherry on top of the cake (pun intended) was having Krystyna help us throughout the whole process from start to finish. Funnily enough we had never planned a wedding before and so having someone that talked us through the process giving us prompts along the way made the entire experience so much easier, she listened to our ideas and went above and beyond to make it all happen without making us feel like we were asking for too much. I would like to think The Talbot know what a gem they have in Krystyna and anyone else considering using there services should know they will be in safe hands. Thank you again to the Talbot Inn for being a big part in our wonderful day!

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding at The Talbot, Ripley. The whole day ran so smoothly and was completely stress-free. The team were fantastic, with great communication in the lead-up and staff who clearly knew exactly what they were doing.
The food and drinks were lovely, and everything was exactly how we wanted it. We had the most amazing day and would highly recommend The Talbot to anyone planning their wedding!

If you are looking for somewhere to host your special day, we couldn’t recommend The Talbot highly enough. From the moment of booking right through to the cutting of the cake and first dance, Krystyna, Arvind, Olivia and all the other members of the team are absolutely phenomenal. They genuinely think of every last detail and ensure that you really can leave everything in their hands. We really loved how they got to know us as a couple and made changes to the day to suit our needs. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with multiple different spaces to use across the course of the day. All of our guests were blown away by the venue itself, the service from the team and the delicious food. We are so pleased that we celebrated our day at The Talbot!

My husband and I got married at the Talbot and from the open day to the menu tasting and then our big day everything was smooth and perfect! Krystyna is such a warm, helpful and organised person we immediately fell in love with her personality and the beautiful venue! Unbelievable value for money! All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was! I wish I could redo it all again! We did our own decor, the photos speak for themselves! Some chair sashes and a floral hoop did the job as well as table Center pieces of course and it rained for all our photos so we had them inside in front of the gorgeous bookcase - no need to stress about weather!

If you’re looking for an intimate venue, full of rustic village charm, the perfect backdrop for photos and good food - then this is the venue for you! The Surrey Barns have a lovely feel to them and you can largely personalise as you wish. Guests can stay at the venue in great rooms that cater for all needs. All the staff are lovely and Krystyna is the perfect wedding coordinator - helpful and organised yet relaxed and understanding of your vision. Would definitely recommend!

We got married at The Talbot in March 2026 and were delighted we picked this venue.

It was stunning. We were told by many guests how beautiful the venue was.

The day went very smoothly, in no small part to Krystyna who was brilliant from the moment we met her at the venue’s wedding fair all the way until the day after.

She calmed us down on many occasion, walked us through the timings on the day and these were stuck to. She was one of the reasons we chose the venue.

We used a lot of suppliers from their fair that the venue vouched for and they were also fantastic.

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day

We got engaged in February and always knew we wanted to marry on the same date as our anniversary. Due to a few other factors, we decided we didn’t want to wait and set our hearts on July 2025. Yes, we gave ourselves five months to plan a wedding. We viewed a couple of venues, and The Talbot was the second one we visited, but from the moment we arrived, it felt different.
On the day we met Krystyna, I had honestly had one of the worst days and wasn’t in the head space to think about wedding planning at all. Within minutes, she completely turned that around. She has such a calm, reassuring presence and seemed to understand us as a couple almost instantly. As two middle children who aren’t used to being in the spotlight, it felt very strange focusing on what we wanted. Krystyna made that feel natural and comfortable. She was gentle, supportive, and quietly confident in guiding us, never pushy, always reassuring. She made everything feel possible and manageable, which meant more to us than she probably realises.
We had our ceremony in the Barns and our wedding breakfast in Emma’s Lounge, with 20 of our closest family and friends. The spaces were absolutely beautiful and perfectly suited to an intimate celebration. The atmosphere was warm, romantic, and relaxed, exactly what we had hoped for.
Krystyna let us know ahead of time that a new menu would be available, and there was so much to choose from. We’re so grateful we decided to stay the night before, as I was able to try both of our menu choices and the food was incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Our guests commented on how amazing everything was, and we were especially impressed with how thoughtfully the team catered for our gluten-free and vegan guests. Everyone felt included and well looked after, which was so important to us.
The staff on the day were outstanding. Every single person was attentive, kind, and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. They made our guests feel welcome from the moment they arrived and ensured everything ran so smoothly. Because of them, we were able to fully relax and soak up every moment without worrying about a thing.
Krystyna, thank you for everything you did for us. You were so caring and graceful in the way you looked after us throughout the whole process. We truly felt supported every step of the way. We wish you all the very best any couple would be so lucky to have you by their side.

We got married in the Talbot in July and it was everything we hoped for and more! We loved the venue as soon as we saw it- it had a lovely feel to it and the barn area was stunning. Krystyna was brilliant from start to finish- she was so professional and on top of everything- but better yet so friendly and fun! We loved going to meet with her to plan our day- she was so accommodating and helpful and it was clear she genuinely cared. Our day was so wonderful- I wish we could do it all over again!

Krystyna Georgiou Was so helpful She was the best wedding planner ever. She was so helpful so pleasant and her attention to detail is the best she set up our wedding room so perfect. Really friendly and really approachable about anything we needed done or any questions we had.

We got married in May at The Talbot and had the most wonderful day.
The weather was gorgeous which meant we were able to make use of the garden and the courtyard to its fullest!!
