The Perch Inn is a historic wedding venue located in Oxford, Oxfordshire in south-east England. Situated just outside of Oxford city centre, the Perch is one of Oxford’s oldest pubs. For a number of centuries, this riverside property has played host to many incredible events. This 17th-century plaster-rubble building with its traditional thatched roof is ideal for intimate and charming wedding receptions. Facilities and Capacity
The Perch Inn offers both outdoor settings and a spacious indoor area for wedding receptions. Overlooking romantic riverside views, couples will find this venue ideal for both romantic moments and picturesque photoshoots. The newly refurbished dining room combines a traditional style with modern amenities. In the summer months, the garden is open for outdoor celebrations and parties can be held beneath the shelter of the marquee. The fully bespoke, canopied marquee can hold up to 200 guests in a stylish yet relaxed setting. Inside the marquee is as tastefully decorated as the bar, filled with cosy couches, classic pianos, and charming coffee tables to fit the countryside setting.

An amazing day thanks to the Perch!
Emily was super communicative from the start, and laid out all predicted costs straight away. Our tour was great and the food tasting was AMAZING! We left the tasting full and happy, excited for all our friends and family to try our menu!
In the weeks leading up to the event, Emily was incredibly helpful in helping plan our timeline and decor set-up and in communicating with other vendors which took so much stress off our plates.
The Perch were fab in setting up the beautiful marquee exactly how we wanted, and we were so happy with how everything came together, it was so easy and smooth!
On the day itself, Emily and the staff could not be more helpful. We had a couple of hiccups (not due to the Perch!) including the photo booth not working initially, and Emily jumped in and fixed it!!
The food and drink, as predicted, were delicious and we had so many guests compliment both the quantity and quality of the food!
The Perch is also a beautiful venue for photos! Would especially recommend taking advantage of the riverside setting and arriving by boat.
Altogether, we had an amazing day and this is largely thanks to the fab staff at the Perch- thank you so so so much to Emily and colleagues! We highly recommend the Perch for couples looking for an easy but unique and personalised wedding with excellent food in a beautiful location!

Magical Oxford Garden Party Wedding
First, Emily is a wonder - you are in the best, most organized hands with her at the helm of the events team at The Perch. From our initial emails to the site visits, tastings, and other interactions in the lead-up to the wedding, Emily and Issy have been responsive, clear, and helpful. They coordinated with our vendors on our behalf, including the florist, band, bakery, bus company, and tablecloth rental company, which was such a weight off our shoulders (especially as my husband and I were in Boston and Paris, respectively, in the months before the wedding).
Second, the food is great and so much is included/available through The Perch. We had multiple guests compliment us on the food, and we wholeheartedly agree with them - everything was delicious! We loved the sharing style, and there was more than enough to go around and cater to different dietary requirements. We could customize the bar offerings and also bring in different chairs, dishware, etc., and Emily and her team coordinated it all for us.
Finally, the marquee/garden is just beautiful and created an intimate, fun environment for our wedding afternoon -- guests could take in the sunshine in the private back garden or shared front garden. We even had a game of croquet set up! The seating area meant that there was always somewhere for guests to take a break from dancing or chat with each other, but there was also more than enough space for our afternoon dance party and live band!
Truly, I wish we could relive the day again and again, and a big part of that is The Perch.
