An unforgettable venue with the dreamiest gardens, fairytale marquee and grand rectory
Tony, Ben and the team were instrumental to making our day so special. The venue speaks for itself - stunning gardens and a beautifully intricate interior to the house, which made for unforgettable photos and memories for us and our guests. There are so many areas of the venue that we and the guests could explore. The marquee was the perfect space for all 120ish guests plus a photo booth. The bar offering was fantastic - the best cocktails!! We are so happy we chose this venue and urge you to check it out for yourselves!

The Most Magical Wedding at The Old Rectory
The Old Rectory was the only venue we visited, and from the moment we stepped into the house and gardens, we knew it was the perfect place for our intimate outdoor wedding. We had a very clear vision of what we wanted, and Tony and Trudie helped us bring that vision to life in the most magical way.
They opened their beautiful home to us with such warmth and generosity, creating an atmosphere that felt both relaxed and incredibly special. Every detail was flawless, and the setting itself is beyond stunning, elegant yet full of character.
Our wedding day exceeded all my expectations (and they are very high!). It was everything we had dreamed of and more. We will forever be grateful to Tony and Trudie for helping us create such an unforgettable day.

I'm a Wedding Planner Who Chose to Marry at The Old Rectory Estate!
As a wedding planner, choosing my venue was a BIG deal. I had a lot of boxes to tick and it had to have the wow factor. I already knew most of the venues in the area, but none of them were quite right. The Old Rectory had been on my radar for a long time and I was dying to see it in person.
It was everything and more (in fact much more) than we expected. It was like being transported to Italy, with gardens that were straight out of Alice In Wonderland. The wow factor was well and truly wowing. I tell all my clients, choosing a venue is like buying a house, when somewhere feels like home, you know you've found the one, and we knew straight away this was one for us.
As a family run business, we knew there would be flexibility unlike the major corporate venues. The owner, Tony, made it clear from the start that we could have our day however we wanted. No rules and regulations (aside from the obvious.) Nothing was too much trouble.
Our guests were utterly amazed on the day and we couldn't have received more compliments about the venue. The marquee, which looks unlike any other marquee you've seen, looked divine. Of course, I put a lot of work into the design due to my job, but it was the prettiest canvas to work with, already holding so much beauty.
I couldn't recommend The Old Rectory Estate highly enough. It holds a very special place in my heart and I have 4 clients getting married there next year!
The only word to describe this venue is... magical.

May Wedding at the Old Rectory Estate
The Old Rectory was the PERFECT wedding venue for us, where we had 115 guests for a May 25th wedding this year. We had the ceremony outside, cocktail hour by the house, and breakfast/party in the marquee. The venue and house is a work of art - a true labor of love for Tony and his family who run the place. It is seriously beautiful - a dream spot inside and out. Every room and garden is designed super thoughtfully, and always improving.
It was so flexible organizing site visits for us and our vendors. We did our rehearsal with friends and family at the venue the day before which was really nice - a lot of venues don’t really offer this kind of flexibility, but we were the only wedding that weekend so we had more options. We loved the flow of the wedding and the weather happened to be beautiful so as we moved through the garden to the marquee on the day of, our guests got to enjoy every part of the property. After dinner guests got to wander around the garden when they weren’t on the dance floor. There is a bar in the marquis and outside the marquis which is nice for people who want a bit of a break.
The only thing to note is that the Old Rectory is down a windy road, so instead of having a few buses/shuttles from hotels nearby to the venue, we organized a bunch of taxis with a local taxi company. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.

Fantastic venue
A stunning venue, magnificent garden and marquee. The separate bar area in the garden was an added bonus and well received by our guests. Tony and Ben were very friendly and helpful in the planning and execution of the day. We had a magical day.

A magical and unique wedding venue
We absolutely loved our wedding reception at The Old Rectory Estate and we knew our family and friends would feel the same when they saw the venue. The gardens feel upscale and glamorous but it also feels informal too which is exactly what we were going for.
Tony and the team went the extra mile for us to make sure we had an amazing day and never put too much pressure on us in making decisions and always had time to chat. In fact, we still chat to them from time to time! From the cocktail bar to the stunning gardens and lighting If you want a unique venue which your guests will love, I highly recommend

Wedding Venue of my dreams!
After making the sad decision after Covid to not plan to get married abroad, I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about viewing uk venues.. well Old Rectory Estate changed all of that.. venue is absolutely stunning. The host Tony & his lovely wife made us feel at home from the very first visit! Highly recommend! I’m trying to think of another event I can hold there ! Worth every penny.

Extraordinary and outstanding service
Tony and Trudy are exceptionally the perfect host with a meticulous eye and attention to details, trudy’s hospitality is wonderfully welcoming and both the couple honest personality is something to treasure.
Tony goes above and beyond ensuring he does whatever he can to making each clients experience the magic that a wedding should have. He will talk you to death but I guess that only because I met my match. He is warm, friendly and sincerely kind.
The grounds are well maintained and groomed with a lot of love and care . I highly recommend this exclusive enchanted place where dream do come true.
As a decor company this is one of our favourite venue to work with.
The dogs ( whom I have forgotten their names) are friendly and very loving.

Perfect wedding
This venue is perfect. Tony and Trudy are so flexible and give you full freedom to do what you want with their gardens. From the time we booked to the time we had our wedding (18 months) they had built a new stunning bar area, and developed a rose garden. The gardens are the perfect backdrop to a wedding. One of our friends said “where did you find this place, it’s like an Italian villa” another said “well this is incredible, can we all just get married here?”
From the fist visit Tony and Trudy are so welcoming and supportive of all your ideas. The marquee company we chose had our marquee going up at the venue 1 year prior to our wedding. They allowed us to come around the evening before and look at it to confirm our plans, and we ended up having 2 bottles of wine.
The week before there’s no limits on when you can pop in, have drink/cake ect delivered.
They also have lots of great extras that they don’t mention, such as a cake knife and large grand wooden easel.
They are more like friend than a venue. Everyone says their wedding is the best venue ever, but everyone we’ve bumped into since our wedding has complemented the venue and said it’s the best wedding they’ve been to.

Relaxed, personable, friendly
Could not have asked for more from our wedding venue. The gardens are spectacular, and beautifully maintained by Tony and his son. Super quick to respond, helpful with our requests and we very much enjoyed our chats with Tony and Trudie on our visits to the venue over a cup of tea or a bottle of wine!
