Tony, Ben and the team were instrumental to making our day so special. The venue speaks for itself - stunning gardens and a beautifully intricate interior to the house, which made for unforgettable photos and memories for us and our guests. There are so many areas of the venue that we and the guests could explore. The marquee was the perfect space for all 120ish guests plus a photo booth. The bar offering was fantastic - the best cocktails!! We are so happy we chose this venue and urge you to check it out for yourselves!The Old Rectory Estate's reply:

The Most Magical Wedding at The Old Rectory
The Old Rectory was the only venue we visited, and from the moment we stepped into the house and gardens, we knew it was the perfect place for our intimate outdoor wedding. We had a very clear vision of what we wanted, and Tony and Trudie helped us bring that vision to life in the most magical way.
They opened their beautiful home to us with such warmth and generosity, creating an atmosphere that felt both relaxed and incredibly special. Every detail was flawless, and the setting itself is beyond stunning, elegant yet full of character.
Our wedding day exceeded all my expectations (and they are very high!). It was everything we had dreamed of and more. We will forever be grateful to Tony and Trudie for helping us create such an unforgettable day.The Old Rectory Estate's reply:

Freya Sent on 30/10/2025I'm a Wedding Planner Who Chose to Marry at The Old Rectory Estate!
As a wedding planner, choosing my venue was a BIG deal. I had a lot of boxes to tick and it had to have the wow factor. I already knew most of the venues in the area, but none of them were quite right. The Old Rectory had been on my radar for a long time and I was dying to see it in person.
It was everything and more (in fact much more) than we expected. It was like being transported to Italy, with gardens that were straight out of Alice In Wonderland. The wow factor was well and truly wowing. I tell all my clients, choosing a venue is like buying a house, when somewhere feels like home, you know you've found the one, and we knew straight away this was one for us.
As a family run business, we knew there would be flexibility unlike the major corporate venues. The owner, Tony, made it clear from the start that we could have our day however we wanted. No rules and regulations (aside from the obvious.) Nothing was too much trouble.
Our guests were utterly amazed on the day and we couldn't have received more compliments about the venue. The marquee, which looks unlike any other marquee you've seen, looked divine. Of course, I put a lot of work into the design due to my job, but it was the prettiest canvas to work with, already holding so much beauty.
I couldn't recommend The Old Rectory Estate highly enough. It holds a very special place in my heart and I have 4 clients getting married there next year!
The only word to describe this venue is... magical.

Tom Sent on 09/06/2025May Wedding at the Old Rectory Estate
The Old Rectory was the PERFECT wedding venue for us, where we had 115 guests for a May 25th wedding this year. We had the ceremony outside, cocktail hour by the house, and breakfast/party in the marquee. The venue and house is a work of art - a true labor of love for Tony and his family who run the place. It is seriously beautiful - a dream spot inside and out. Every room and garden is designed super thoughtfully, and always improving.
It was so flexible organizing site visits for us and our vendors. We did our rehearsal with friends and family at the venue the day before which was really nice - a lot of venues don’t really offer this kind of flexibility, but we were the only wedding that weekend so we had more options. We loved the flow of the wedding and the weather happened to be beautiful so as we moved through the garden to the marquee on the day of, our guests got to enjoy every part of the property. After dinner guests got to wander around the garden when they weren’t on the dance floor. There is a bar in the marquis and outside the marquis which is nice for people who want a bit of a break.
The only thing to note is that the Old Rectory is down a windy road, so instead of having a few buses/shuttles from hotels nearby to the venue, we organized a bunch of taxis with a local taxi company. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.
Loved this place so much - we got lots of rave reviews from our guests. It’s really unique, whimsical, and wonderful. We HIGHLY recommend.The Old Rectory Estate's reply:

Fantastic venue
A stunning venue, magnificent garden and marquee. The separate bar area in the garden was an added bonus and well received by our guests. Tony and Ben were very friendly and helpful in the planning and execution of the day. We had a magical day. -
