Facilities and Capacity

With panoramic river views, streams and steeped in traditional charm with its original oak beams, sluices and water wheel, The Old Mill is a tranquil riverside setting in 22 acres of countryside, making it one of the most picturesque venues in Berkshire.

Standing over the River Kennet, the site dates back to the Domesday survey of 1086. Today, the Grade II listed buildings continue to exude their old, English character.

Our newly refurbished Conservatory is encapsulated by views of the River Kennet, holding up to 94 people for your ceremony. Whilst our Outside Patio area also features views of the flowing river, accomodating 94 guests in the beauty of our outside surroundings. For more intimate ceremonies, The Stable Room is an ideal choice, hosting weddings of up to 70 guests.

Immersed in panoramic river views, you and your loved ones can utilise The Old Mill exclusively for your celebrations. With a welcoming drinks reception on our Patio and an abundance of backdrop for photos, our countryside grounds are sure to provide you with a wedding day for you and your guests to remember!

With access from 9:00am on the morning of your wedding, you are welcome to use our Bridal Dressing Room, complete with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for your bridal party.

Viewings are available with Lauren, Tilly or Esther, our Wedding and Events Specialists - helping you to envisage your day at our riverside wedding venue.

We are also pleased to offer access to our online wedding planning software upon booking, where all details; timelines; payments and messages can be kept - helping you stay organised in the planning process.

Aiming to keep your events as stress-free as possible, The Old Mill are also proud advocates for The Wed Shed; an onsite styling service. With access to a range of on-trend, stylish decor, your wedding day is certain to look spectacular without the stress of setting it up yourself in the morning. Evie and her creative team of stylists are there to ensure you have an aisle walk of dreams, whilst enjoying your morning of pampering and bubbly with friends.

Catering Food Options

We are proud to be partnered with six catering companies and six food vans. Allowing you to choose your catering team is something The Old Mill take pride in - giving you the opportunity to build your team of wedding suppliers, even down to the food!

With access to a variety of options between them, each of the caterers have something fabulous to offer. From three-course seated dinners, to family sharing BBQs or stone-baked pizzas to welcome your evening reception; there is something for everyone!

What is included in the Venue Hire Price?

- Exclusive use of The Old Mill and its grounds. Set in 22 acres of private countryside, situated on the River Kennet. The Old Mill provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding day.

- Access to the venue from 9.00am, finish by 12.00am (midnight). The grounds offer privacy and are exclusively yours for the day.

- A choice of our conservatory with panoramic river views, seating up to 94 guests; an outdoor ceremony on the patio, seating up to 94 guests or our stable room, perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies of up to 70 guests.

- Inside areas at The Old Mill include the conservatory; mill room; dressing room and bar. Suitable for wedding breakfast’s up to 94 people. The Old Mill can accomodate a maximum of 180 guests for your evening reception.

- Use of our bridal dressing room from 9.00am. Includes a complimentary bottle of prosecco for the morning.

- Fully licensed and stocked bar will be available following your ceremony and will close at 11:30pm.

- For weddings taking place in the conservatory or on the patio, the bar in the stable room will be open for guests one hour prior to the ceremony.

- An Old Mill representative with a wealth of knowledge in the industry, available to help make your big day here at The Old Mill run smoothly - coordinating all elements of the day alongside your chosen suppliers.

- Tables, chairs and glassware are all included.

- Access to Sonas, our wedding planning software.
