Make Sure It's Spacious Enough

First, consider the size of the venue. As Asian weddings are traditionally very large, be sure your venue can easily accommodate the number of guests you're inviting without feeling cramped. There should be room for a dance floor and a DJ, too.

Ask About Catering

You will likely want traditional food served at your wedding, so ask your venue if their catering service can provide this. Many venues won't be experienced in preparing food from a specific culture, so if they say no, ask if they allow external caterers. This will allow you to choose a chef of your liking and feel confident that the food will be great.

Choose A Venue With A Planner Or Coordinator

Many venues offer in-house wedding planning or coordination services. Some of these even specialize in Asian weddings. This can be very helpful if you're planning a complex event with a busy schedule. Even if you're planning on hiring your own wedding planner, it's still useful for them to be able to liaise with an in-house coordinator.
