Felt like we were in safe hands!
We looked through so many wedding venues during our search, and The Old Mill was the best choice for us!
Tilly, Esther and the team responded quickly to all our enquiries and helped us plan our wedding. We started contacting them in December 2025 for our May 2026 wedding, while I was still waiting for my fiancé visa approval to enter the UK.
We communicated smoothly about everything:
* The timeline of events
* Coordination through the wedding day
* The bride and bridesmaids prep area
* The groom and groomsmen prep area
* Catering, Drinks
* Cake table
* Entertainment
* Photography
They have a whole list of trusted suppliers that you can engage with, as they are already familiar with the team and venue. For example, for decor, we engaged The Wed Shed, a different company that operates from the same venue! The Old Mill's management tool, Sonas, is very helpful for tracking payments and overall day planning.
Most importantly, they know weddings, and they do it best!
We love that it is a family business and that they have kept the area beautiful for generations! Have you seen the new bi-fold doors in person?? They hold yoga sessions there too, I believe.

We recently got married at The Old Mill on the 6th August 2026. From the first visit to the day itself was so easy and so smooth. The staff were amazing and I cannot thank Esther enough for her support throughout the whole process and the day itself, even making me laugh just before I was about to walk down the aisle! The venue itself was incredible, all of our guests have commented on how beautiful it was. Dj Ed and Evie from the Wed Shed were both so amazing too and nothing was too much trouble. If I could do the day again I would! I would recommend The Old Mill to everyone! -

This venue was amazing to work with from beginning to end. The staff (particularly Esther) were warm, welcoming and knowledgeable - we felt truly cared for and seen in an industry that churns out people's most sentimental days multiple times a week. The regular wedding fair events and open-door policy meant we were able to visit, visualise and plan throughout the whole process, and the suggested suppliers at these events and in their handbook took the thinking out of a lot of our planning - a huge relief! The location and physical venue itself is chraming and lends itself to all seasons and weather events. We booked a Sunday and received a really reasonable rate. Given a time machine I would chose this venue again every time and I can't wait to go back and visit! -

I can’t even begin to describe how incredible this venue is. We had our big day on the 14th May 2026. The communication, the team, the views, the set up… EVERYTHING, will be everything you’ve ever dreamed of. Our wedding at The Old Mill was truly magical, and we’ve received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything was. It was made even more special because my parents were married there on the exact same day 33 years earlier, which created some incredibly meaningful moments for our family.
A special thank you to Esther, who was so friendly, supportive, and helpful throughout the process. The whole team made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after from start to finish. The setting, atmosphere, and attention to detail were everything we could have hoped for, making it the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. We will treasure the memories forever! -

The best venue and team we could have asked for
Wow wow wow! We booked The Old Mill over 2 years ago and were shown round by Lauren. We got married on 22nd August 2025 and had the BEST DAY EVER. The venue is family owned and has a team of wedding specialists who run the weddings. The venue had been upgraded significantly in the time since we booked and they are always looking for improvements. Some amazing ones to come! The venue was even better than expected and The Wed Shed decorating was INCREDIBLE.
Lauren, our wedding coordinator was incredible. She stayed with us from booking, all the way through to the day. She knows the venue inside out, was so personable, cared a lot about our day and even made some amazing recommendations (definitely go for fireworks). She made us feel so at ease on the day and it couldn’t have gone any better.
We are SO grateful for the venue and the team for making our day one of the best days ever. Thank you so so much! I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! -

Lauren and the team at the Old Mill were fantastic from our inital meeting to the wedding day and afterwards trying to coordinate things that had been left behind! Nothing is too big or too small, and they really focus on the little details, down to Lauren making and testing our family recipe rum ounch for us on the wedding morning.
For the venue and service you recieve i think this is excellent value for money and it is so nice to know that you are supporting a small, family run business. -

Julia and I were married here on Wed 18 Jun 25 and oh my, what a fantastic day we had!
Lauren - our Wedding Venue organiser - was tremendous. She took away any stresses, worries and made us feel relaxed and very special (on the day and in the planning). The Conservatory was beautifully decorated, as was the Wedding Breakfast area. A truly stunning location. Everything was organised right down to the finest detail and we just cannot thank Lauren enough for looking after us last month :) -
