The Market House is an idyllic wedding venue in Reading in the Berkshire region of England. What once was a bank has been transformed into a unique and unforgettable party destination. Situated in the heart of Reading, there is something for everyone here!

The Vault

With a capacity of up to 60 standing and 50 seated guests, The Vault can only be described as a hidden treasure in this city centre location. A secret garden with a custom-made electric glass roof which opens up creating a real sun trap! This was the bank's main vault, and we kept all the original features, walls, and vault door; it is a pretty special place for your wedding reception and party!

The Roof Terrace & Bar

This totally private area is perfect for those more intimate weddings with a standing capacity of up to 100. This gorgeous oasis boasts its own private bar with plenty of undercover seating; this perfect escape from the city will have your guests talking about your wedding for years to come. The space has a fully retractable roof so perfect for any occassion.

The Mezz

Perfect for a wedding party looking for the buzz of the main space, The Mezz sits dramatically at the end of the main Market Hall; designed out of metal, it keeps with the overall style of the Market House. This is an open area but is fully contained, so it is the perfect place for a party! Capacity up to 60 people standing

Additionally, if you want to take things up a notch, you can look into a full venue takeover for your event. We can discuss all the possibilities and make it completely yours for the day!

Costings

At The Market House, we work via a minimum spend, made up of your food & beverage spend. The minimum spend varies throughout the year depending on the season and the day of the week. This allows the opportunity to tailor your day totally, and we would be delighted to discuss the options with you! Menus start at £28.00 a head.
