From the very first moment we visited Selden Barns, it felt completely different from every other venue we had seen - it simply felt right.
As two brides, we didn't always feel immediately comfortable interacting at wedding events, but Nicky greeted us with such warmth, kindness and professionalism that we instantly felt at ease. She genuinely wanted to get to know us and share everything the venue had to offer. She created magical moments from that very first visit, even asking the singers performing at the open day to play as we walked into the ceremony room. Needless to say, we booked Selden Barns - and Soph and Simon too! We were completely sold.
What followed were several meetings, visits and phone calls with Nicky and our fabulous wedding coordinator, Abi. What a power team! Nothing was ever too much trouble, and communication was seamless throughout. We always knew exactly where we were in the planning process, what needed to be done and when. We had various requests and some really big ideas, but Nicky and Abi made everything possible. From day one, they were incredibly accommodating and somehow made planning what often feels like the most stressful event feel exciting, manageable and organised.
Then, finally, the big day arrived. There truly are no words to describe what was the happiest day of our lives.
It was just perfect in every way, and there isn't a single thing we would change. We welcomed 90 guests during the day and a further 40 in the evening, yet everything ran like clockwork. From the biggest moments to the smallest details, everything was perfect. We danced (on the most amazing dance floor) and cried all day - happy tears, of course!
If that wasn't enough to be grateful for, our accommodation and breakfast the next day was the icing on the cake.. the rooms were so comfy and beautiful - we all slept so well and Andy our chef made sure that our entire family had everything they wanted and needed the morning after - no hangover with him around! We were able to stay in our wedding bubble and spend precious time with our loved ones as everything was already cleared and placed easily for us to pack onto the van! - a job we was NOT looking forward to.
So many of our guests have commented on the beauty / aesthetic of Selden Barns and the warmth, friendliness and joy they experienced with us there.
We had so much fun and there will never be enough thank-you's for everyone who made it possible. The bar staff, event suppliers, cleaners, caterers, entertainers, chefs, coordinators and managers - whether employed or recommended by Selden Barns - all played a part in creating the best wedding day we could have ever hoped for.
We will never stop being grateful, and we will never stop recommending Selden Barns.

Such a beautiful venue and the planning was very supportive and they tried to be accommodating and work with us the staff on the day worked very hard. I would recommend this venue it is a lovely location. -

From the very first moment we visited, whilst hunting for a wedding location, we were completely wowed by this venue. We walked away from that initial viewing knowing we had found somewhere incredibly special — and somehow, the experience only got better from there.
Every planning meeting was an absolute pleasure. Nicki, who oversees everything, is simply brilliant at what she does and has created such a warm, professional and genuinely caring team. Abi, our planning coordinator, was amazing throughout the whole process: endlessly patient, organised and reassuring, and always making us feel as though nothing was ever too much trouble. No request was too small, no question was silly, and every little detail we mentioned was listened to and remembered.
Then came the wedding itself, and we genuinely could not have imagined a better realisation of the day if we had tried. Everything we had talked about in the months beforehand somehow appeared perfectly around us. The venue looked incredible, the day flowed seamlessly, and we were able to completely relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that everything was being taken care of behind the scenes.
Chloe, who helped Abi on the big day, was also fantastic, and the entire team could not have been warmer, kinder or more helpful. There was such a lovely feeling from every single member of staff — nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and it really felt as though everyone genuinely wanted us and our guests to have the best possible time.
And a special shoutout has to go to Andy and his team for breakfast the following morning. We have genuinely never seen so many bacon or sausage sarnies in our lives! 😂 Exactly what was needed after the night before, and another example of the incredible generosity and hospitality we experienced from beginning to end.
Looking back, there honestly isn't anything we would change. From being completely blown away on our first visit, through the wonderful planning meetings, to seeing everything come together even better than we could have pictured it, the whole experience was exceptional.
We feel incredibly lucky that we chose this venue for our wedding and cannot recommend Nicki, Abi, Chloe and the entire team highly enough. They made us realise we would get the day we had always imagined — and then somehow made it even better. ❤️ -

Good value for money. There were various options which matched our budget needs. They couldn’t have been more helpful in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. We wouldn’t have changed anything and would definitely recommend them. Thank you, Selden Barns, for everything! -

Me and my partner have worked alongside Selden Barns for a little under a year in planning and sourcing the bed arrangements for our big day which we had in june. Nicky and the team were amazing with support and communication, regular meetings and always an email/phone call away. The accomodation and the main barn to the grounds - this place is the full package. as soon as i saw the venue and looked around i knew this was where i wanted to get married and the staff from kitchen to ground and administration were all amazing at making that possibility a reality. -

Beautiful idyllic countryside location for the most amazing day
From the moment we first viewed the venue to the day itself, your professionalism, support, and attention to detail were outstanding. The venue looked absolutely beautiful, and it provided the perfect setting for our wedding celebration.
A special thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. And a personal thank you to Saoirse, your hard work, friendliness, and willingness to help made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable for both us and our guests.
We received so many compliments about the venue throughout the day, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate such an occasion. -

We cannot recommend Selden barns for your wedding venue enough. Our whole wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The outdoor ceremony area was absolutely stunning in the sunshine and the inside of the barn absolutely perfect with the gorgeous lights and dance floor for our meal and reception.
Abi, Saoirse and Nicki were so helpful from the beginning to the end of the whole process. So quick to reply to emails with all of our questions and worries, lots of regular meetings to discuss planning, and made the whole day and evening run so smoothly and stress free. The bar staff were also great and provided such a quick and friendly service for a drink. The whole team made us feel so welcome and supported and it was really appreciated!
Thank you so much guys for the most perfect day - wish we could do it all over again! 🤍

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day at Selden Barn. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was somewhere special, but the reality exceeded every expectation.
The barn itself is absolutely stunning — full of character, beautifully restored, and set in the most gorgeous surroundings. It created such a warm, romantic atmosphere, and so many of our guests commented on how unique and beautiful it was.
What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was Saoirse. She was incredible from start to finish — calm, organised, supportive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made everything feel effortless, even behind the scenes. Having her there gave us complete confidence and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment.
Our whole day felt magical, and we’re so grateful to the entire team for creating memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re considering Selden Barn as your wedding venue, don’t hesitate — it is truly something special. -

Our amazing wedding day
Selden was our second venue we had gone to visit and after being there only a couple of minutes myself and Stu knew this is where we were going to get married! Everything from planning to the day had been amazing I couldn’t have wished for a better day Niki and Sarioise were amazing and i couldn’t have wished for more!Selden Barns's reply:

From the initial enquiries to the final breakfast it was fantastic. The staff were extremely professional and made the whole thing feel very personal.
The only thing, which was a shame, was our wine allowance per head was not laid out on the tables. The glasses were not topped up on the tables, meaning it did not flow and we took lots home.
Apart from that the whole thing was amazing. Even the breakfast the next morning felt like an event.
The accommodation was lovely.
