Got married July the 4th, 2024 at New House Farm and it was an absolutely PERFECT experience from start to end. My partner and I live abroad in Chicago so knew planning a Lake District wedding remotely might be a challenge but Hazel and the New House team made it so incredibly easy. We had calls with a few other venues who very inflexible and immediately felt a sense of relief when we FaceTimed with Hazel- she made it clear from the beginning it was our day and her and her team were there to support whatever type of wedding we wanted. The recommended vendor list was very comprehensive and made planning so much less stressful. We simply had the best wedding we could have asked for and were told by multiple friends and family that it was the best wedding they had attended, in large part to the stunning venue and welcoming staff. THANK YOU THANK YOU New House Farm- we are so grateful! -

The perfect venue
Where do we even start? We had looked around a number of venues following our engagement to see where we would like to have our wedding reception. The second we pulled into New House Farm we were amazed by the grounds and we could not get over the views. This venue was completely unmatched. Despite its breathtaking views and grounds, it somehow has a homely and comfortable feel that also really drew us to it. Hazel was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, she was really open to any ideas or plans we had and was really accommodating and helpful as well as assuring us that she was there to help with anything at all we needed. Fast forward 2 years after booking and we had visited the venue another 4 times to help us organise and plan our day. Every single time we fell in love and could not wait to have our wedding there. During these additional visits, we met Gina who was absolutely lovely and so so helpful. We also had lots of email correspondence with Hazel and Gina who were always incredibly helpful and reassuring even when I seemed to be asking endless questions. Our wedding weekend at New House Farm was amazing and all our guests commented on what a brilliant venue it was. I don't think I will get over the day. I always expected to feel some sort of stress on the day of my wedding but Hazel and Gina had everything running so smoothly that all I felt was complete enjoyment and happiness. We all felt so at home there for the weekend and were really encouraged to think of the venue as home while we were there. The accommodation was amazing, the breakfast was amazing, everything was just perfect. I cannot recommend New House Farm or Hazel and Gina enough, it really was the absolute perfect wedding venue. -

We found New House Farm in 2025 after we got engaged .
Hazel was so warm and welcoming to be around plus the standard of her venue and accommodation was so good and quirky we knew it was the right place for us.
After booking , Whenever we needed to ask Hazel a question she was really fast at responding.
Nothing was ever a no or to much for her.
Upon arriving at our venue the day before at 12 we could load things into the hayloft barn and then had full access of the farmhouse from 2pm .
Gina was the one who took us under her wing and asked us all of the questions and basically managed it all from that point in.
Gina was absolutely fantastic, she helped lay out our activity books for our table and was making sure all the chairs were perfect.🤩
On my bridal morning , Hazel made us all a lovely breakfast which was such a lovely touch!
As i came down the stairs to be married Gina and Hazel were both there hyping me up and it was so nice!
We had our dog walker let us down last minute and they were happy for our dog to be on site all
day and even took him on little wee walks and helped us all day to manage him!
The day after the wedding we had another delicious brekkie and all our bits were placed outside The hayloft barn to collect and it was already back to its original shape by 10am!
Hazel has a fantastic team and a beautiful venue .
George hazels sons husband also checked in on us at times and was always prepared to help us if needed!
As a dry hire venue we did a mix of hazels recommendations of DTL marquee hire and Simon Vogt DJ and our own catering company Smoke & Steel .
Our guests loved our venue and the views! The day was perfect 😍 and we were so glad we booked NHF to host us.

We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for our wedding than New House Farm. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was special, and on the day itself it was absolutely magical. The grounds, the scenery, and the atmosphere gave us everything we could have wished for and more (especially during a grey late November!). Having the venue exclusively for the full weekend was important to us and we loved having the freedom to make our wedding and weekend exactly the way we wanted.
A special thank you has to go to Hazel, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was calm, organised, and reassuring throughout — not only on the wedding day itself, but during all the planning stages too. We truly felt looked after from start to finish.
Our guests have all commented on how stunning the venue was, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated our wedding at New House Farm. We would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming, and memorable venue.

We got married at New House Farm in December 2024 and what an incredible weekend we had. From the first viewing, Hazel and the team were welcoming and flexible, allowing us to create our special day exactly how we wanted.
On the day, the team were faultless, ensuring everything went smoothly and everyone was relaxed and could enjoy themselves.
The venue itself and the surrounding backdrop is nothing short of spectacular!
We couldn't recommend Hazel, the team and New House Farm enough! Thank you so much for a wonderful wedding weekend.

We got married at New House Farm in October 2024. Throughout the time planning our wedding Hazel was so supportive and was also receptive to any request we had. From the first moment we arrived til the second we left the venue Hazel and her staff were incredibly kind and helpful and made sure everything went exactly to plan. Can't thank her and her staff enough for making our big day so special!
