Merrydale Manor is the most INCREDIBLE wedding venue. The staff, service and facilities are all second to none, I am so glad we were lucky enough to have our big day there. Choosing your wedding venue is a big decision but you will honestly struggle to top Merrydale as a location. It is such a beautiful setting and from your engagement to your "I do's" they just manage everything so professionally, and most importantly they deliver an amazing day! Nothing is too much trouble and if you decide to stay in the manor house or courtyard rooms you are in for a real treat, they are beautiful!
We have just had the most perfect wedding day

We have just had the most perfect wedding day I could have wished for at Merrydale Manor. From the first time I saw the venue to the moment I left as newly-wed, you have been amazing. Michael and Hattie made us feel so comfortable whenever we visited and the team that worked with us throughout the day made everything so special. Thank you to all the staff and special thanks to Kirsty who worked tirelessly to make everything perfect so we didn’t have to; to Ken who was an absolute pleasure to be around and who made everything run like clockwork; and to Rosie who made sure our plates were pristine and our glasses were never empty. xx
What a fantastic wedding venue

What a fantastic wedding venue. My daughter got married on Saturday, the staff are absolutely amazing from booking the wedding 18 months ago to the big day you were there to help everyone that came. Our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. Massive thank you x

Where do I start…
I remember the 1st time going to visit Merrydale before it was complete, and I still fell in love with it straight away. From the big entrance gates, the perfectly surrounding grounds, to making your way up to the house, everything was immaculate and we knew there & then that's where we wanted to get married.
Not only is Micheal Irlam one of the nicest men you will ever meet, Right from the start he made sure nothing was too much of an ask. He made sure all of our family/friends felt welcome on any visit to Merrydale and catered for any of their needs. He was present all throughout our day and made sure it ran smoothly, you could tell every wedding is as important to them as a family.
Shelley Jones who is part of the events team Played a big part in the planning to our day, she took the stress right out of it and made it an enjoyable time for us. On the day Shelley & Ken (toastmaster) went above & beyond to make sure we needed for nothing, everything was perfect & stress-free from start to finish and even stayed with us until the end.
On our actual wedding day, we can only describe it as breathtaking. The flowers & decor throughout the whole venue from red floral blew us away, the food everyone received from Barretts caterers had nothing but amazing comments, the drinks put on were all the best selections and our entertainment by six15 was second to none. All the hard work everyone had put into making our day as special as it was we could never repay them.
This is why it is the no1 wedding venue when you have a family & team like they do!
Truly stunning and faultless

Wow! I’m not even quite sure where to start! From the second we arrived on Thursday 16th August, ready for our wedding on Friday the staff could not have done anything more for us to make our stay the best. Waking up there on my wedding morning overlooking the lake with the sun rising was just a dream come true.
Our day was so special and more than we ever dreamed of and the majority of this really is down to the venue and staff- they make everybody feel at home and are super efficient in everything! I realised the tractor was still on the field by the lake on the morning of my wedding however once acknowledged this was moved in seconds. Nothing is ever too much for these guys. We had guests staying at the dog and they were transported to and from the dog by staff to Merrydale- in fact Steve even did 2 trips on the evening which was just no problem to him at all as all they want to do is please. The number of compliments we had on our venue and everything about the day has been fantastic. In fact overwhelming! Our wedding day was spectacular and memories were made that will live with me forever. Micheal,Suzanne, Hattie, Kirsty, Ken and Steve you made our day the best it possibly could have been and I will be forever grateful of that. Truly Stunning and 100% faultless! Thank you so so much! I guess all was going well until a candle set light to a flower arrangement and set the alarms off. Now you would think the staff would act calmly, follow policy, have one do the evacuation whilst the other tackled the fire right? Nope, every stayed seated to watch 2 members of staff in a blind panic. The makes good blowing and flapping his arms, which, as most of us know, is completely the wrong thing to do. A guest suggested starving the fire of oxygen, he refused, saying it would ruin the tablecloth. Really? Another guest yelled for water, as the flames were close to the curtains. The female member of staff ran for water. Another quick thinking guest ran for a fire extinguisher. The male member of staff clearly recognised how much he looked like Basil Fawlty and disappeared for the rest of the day. Please give these people some basic training if they are to allow naked flames next to silk flowers that are not fire resistant? Opening doors after the event to let the smoke out might be a good idea too.
Such a beautiful setting

My son and his wife Andy and Sarah were married here at Merrydale Manor on Saturday 5th August It was perfect in every way Such a beautiful setting, sheep grazing and lovely water features with the lake and fountain and gardens to die for. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful The rooms are all stunning and were decorated with gorgeous flowers from Country flowers Barretts food is amazing and everyone was served so quickly so we were all eating at the same time which is not always the case at weddings. The band Under The Covers were incredible and we all had an amazing day The flowers wedding cakes and band were all sourced using recommendations and information from Merrydale Thanks so much to all of you for a fabulous day......I am still on cloud nine !
I would relive this day a million times over

We got married at Merrydale Manor on 2nd August and honestly had the best day ever!! We came across the venue after being recommended to visit by our photographer’s wife. As soon as I walked in the ceremony room I knew I wanted to get married there as it was like my Pinterest board!!
From the start there was great communication from the staff. Shelley was great at answering all of my questions and giving any recommendations we needed. On the day we had Kirsty looking after us, she rang us the day before to check through things and calm our nerves. She was an absolute star on the day and we felt so lucky to have her work with us! She sorted absolutely everything so that we could enjoy the day without worrying.
So many of our guests are even still commenting on what a lovely venue it was! We were lucky with the weather to be able to enjoy the grounds well into the evening, which was such a great extra that many other venues didn’t have.
It was such a magical day with every detail of the venue styled and looked after to such a high standard. The breakfast the next day was a lovely way to say goodbye to our guests and we didn’t feel rushed out at all even though there was a wedding that day.
I would relive this day a million times over!
Thank you so much to all of the staff for making our day so memorable! X

Our absolutely perfect wedding at Merrydale Manor

Just coming down from cloud 9 following our absolutely perfect wedding last weekend at Merrydale Manor. We first visited over a year ago when Merrydale was still under construction and fell in love with the venue, the garden, the setting and the team. We can’t thank everyone at Merrydale enough – Michael, Hattie, Ken, Shelley and Barrett’s catering for the most wonderful and memorable day!! The garden is so beautiful and we were lucky enough to spend most of the day in the sunshine with our family and friends. We have had such lovely comments about the whole day and I couldn’t recommend this special place highly enough. Photos to follow! Love from Jo and Stu xx
