Our wedding at Merrydale Manor was nothing short of perfect.
From the very beginning, nothing was ever too much to ask—the team truly went the extra mile in every possible way. One thing that made a huge difference was being able to drop off and store our items during the week of the wedding. It took so much pressure off the day before, allowing us to actually relax and enjoy the lead-up.
They even arranged transport for myself and the bridesmaids to their local pub (which is a 10/10!) and back again, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more special.
I stayed on-site in the eco lodges, which were absolutely beautiful—such a peaceful and luxurious space. The entire venue is breathtaking, and somehow even more stunning in person than in photos.
The staff were incredible—warm, welcoming, friendly, and completely hands-on. They ensured everything ran smoothly and had the foresight to quietly handle anything before it could become an issue. They truly brought our vision to life.
The bedrooms are stunning, and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. We had the Manor House, honeymoon suite, and courtyard rooms, and all of our guests who stayed absolutely loved them.
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team—everything was seamless, thoughtful, and just magical from start to finish. Highly, highly recommend!Merrydale Manor's reply:

Ashika Sent on 25/04/2026The most beautiful wedding venue and incredible staff
The second we stepped through into Merrydale Manor, we knew this venue was the one. Every area is kept so neat and beautiful, so we knew we'd have the most beautiful backdrop to all our photos throughout the day. They had great communication throughout, ensuring we had time to sit down with a wedding coordinator near the beginning of our planning and about 6 weeks before to finalise the details. They were always so responsive by email and on the phone for the million questions I had and were really receptive to any of our requests for minor changes to fit our needs.
The venue is full accessible for wheelchair users which was really important for a couple of our guests, and since many of our vendors were Manchester based, they already knew the venue already which put us at ease. They have multiple rooms where a civil ceremony is registered to take place, which made it much simpler for logistics on the day itself. Our only issue was the opening times were quite late so we couldn't use all the great facilities such as a the man cave and the bridal suite as much as we would have liked.
Drew and Sophie were our wedding coordinators on the day, and we spoke to Nikita and Robyn who helped with the planning. All were super lovely and helpful throughout the process. I'd highly recommend Merrydale Manor for our wedding, we had so many compliments on how gorgeous it was!

For the opening times, we do recommend having a 2pm ceremony so it does give you the morning to get ready and enough time to relax from check in at 11am, however as you did have an 11:30am ceremony, it did limit this time slightly. Our check in time, is taking into consideration the check out of the previous guests from the wedding the day before.

The whole team at Merrydale were absolutely amazing on our wedding day. They couldn’t do enough for us and we didn’t have to lift a finger all day! We cannot thank Merrydale enough for hosting our amazing day, from start to finish everything went so smoothly. The staff was amazing and could not do enough for us and our guests, you are an amazing team. A big special thank you to McKenzie who was with me all morning and made sure everything was perfect.
From the first time we visited Merrydale on an opening day we knew this venue was the one for us. Michael had shown us around this stunning venue and we instantly fell in love. We are so pleased we picked Merrydale to host our wedding, all of our guests have complemented on how beautiful the venue was, how everything just went perfect & how all the staff was so lovely.
All the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, myself and my husband did not have to worry about anything, we was able to enjoy our full day with our family and friends as everything was taken care off.
We knew our day would be beautiful but it exceeded all of our expectations and we cannot thank you all enough for helping us achieve this.
Thank you again for giving us memories of a lifetime- we will definitely be recommending Merrydale to anyone we know getting married!

Colin Sent on 10/12/2025Dream wedding turned into reality by the amazing team and suppliers at Merrydale!
From the moment we visited Merrydale Manor we fell in love with the place. Every time we visited Merrydale for wedding meetings etc.. the grounds and buildings were stunning, not a blade of grass out of place, it even looked stunning in Winter time. The team here are incredible, they gave you confidence from the start that everything would be taken care of and your day would be perfect. On the wedding day itself they had a team of people looking after the wedding making sure every single detail no matter how big or small was taken care of and ran smoothly. Every room in the venue, Ceremony room, Wedding breakfast room etc.. was utterly stunning, our expectations were quite high and they far exceeded these. Most of the people that came to our wedding said that it was the best wedding they had every been to and the food and service provided by Barretts was impeccable.
Thank you so much for making our wedding the most memorable day of our lives and an incredible experience.
Merrydale Manor have set the bar so high for a wedding venue, its hard to imagine anything could be improved here!

The most magical venue to have for your wedding!
Choosing Merrydale Manor for our wedding is one of the best decisions I ever made. I visited 13 different venues and the minute I arrived at Merrydale Manor, I knew it was the one. The whole Merrydale Team are so incredibly friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like you are part of the family. They are so supportive and always on hand to answer any questions. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We have such magical memories of our special day. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The whole venue is impeccable, every detail is beautifully designed to wow you and your guests.
They really did make all our dreams come true. The wedding team’s amazing organisation and ability to help with every detail made the whole day run seamlessly. It was perfect in every way. They really are the BEST at what they do! I will cherish the memories forever.Merrydale Manor's reply:

Our Magical Wedding at Merrydale Manor
Getting married at Merrydale is a truly wonderful experience, and if you’re lucky enough to have the option to get married there - don’t think twice! The exceptional grounds speak for themselves, but there’s so much more to Merrydale than what instantly meets your eyes as you enter the premises. Everything is immaculate, the attention to detail is second to none. The ceremony room, Merrydale Suite, the makeup room, the Cave, the rooms & more are all just exquisite. If you want to have a stress free wedding day and not even have to think about what your own name is, then Merrydale is the place for you. The staff - including the wedding planners, toastmaster, Barrett’s - are simply incredible. Everything ran like a military operation on the day, which allowed everyone to relax and enjoy themselves completely. The compliments we got from our guests on everything - from the grounds, atmosphere, food, service - were in abundance. I wish I could relive my wedding day as it was beyond special.Merrydale Manor's reply:
