Merrydale Manor is available on an exclusive-use basis only, giving you and your guests the entire estate to enjoy. From the grand tree-lined driveway to the elegant manor house and tranquil lake, every corner is designed to impress and delight. It’s also a dream location for photography, offering countless picture-perfect spots.
Whether your guest list includes 40 or 180, our experienced team will support you every step of the way—from morning preparations to your final dance—ensuring a flawless and unforgettable day.
Ceremony Room
- If you're considering a civil ceremony, Merrydale Manor is fully approved and licensed by Cheshire East to host your event on the estate.
- You can opt for an outdoor ceremony if the weather is favorable, or choose to marry in our elegant civil ceremony room. Featuring limestone floors, beamed ceilings, and bright windows, it provides a charming setting for your special day.
- If you don't need the ceremony room and are opting for a church wedding; we do have beautiful churches nearby, including St Lawrence Church.
Merrydale Suite - Wedding Breakfast
- The purpose-built Merrydale Suite and bar features luxe interiors, and state-of-the-art facilities. With views across the lake and courtyard gardens, it’s an elegant space to dine, toast, and dance the night away.
Garden Bar
- After exchanging your vows, step into our garden bar to toast each other and your guests with a glass of champagne.
- Picture a chic retreat nestled in lush greenery, featuring a bar counter made of natural wood. The space is beautifully decorated with hanging flowers, garden plants, and candle lanterns. You'll find cosy seating options around the bar, including cushioned chairs, stools, and an outdoor dining set.
Makeup suite, Dressing room and The Cave
- When it comes to areas to get ready at Merrydale, you are spolit for choice. We have both the makeup suite and the dressing room in the manor house, plus a purposely build cave.
Accommodation
- Once home to Michael, Suzanne Irlam and their daughter Hattie, Merrydale Manor offers overnight accommodation for up to 38 guests in both the Main House and Courtyard Rooms and the Woodland Eco Pods and Lodge.

Fantastic!
Our wedding at Merrydale Manor was nothing short of perfect.
From the very beginning, nothing was ever too much to ask—the team truly went the extra mile in every possible way. One thing that made a huge difference was being able to drop off and store our items during the week of the wedding. It took so much pressure off the day before, allowing us to actually relax and enjoy the lead-up.
They even arranged transport for myself and the bridesmaids to their local pub (which is a 10/10!) and back again, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more special.
I stayed on-site in the eco lodges, which were absolutely beautiful—such a peaceful and luxurious space. The entire venue is breathtaking, and somehow even more stunning in person than in photos.
The staff were incredible—warm, welcoming, friendly, and completely hands-on. They ensured everything ran smoothly and had the foresight to quietly handle anything before it could become an issue. They truly brought our vision to life.
The bedrooms are stunning, and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. We had the Manor House, honeymoon suite, and courtyard rooms, and all of our guests who stayed absolutely loved them.
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team—everything was seamless, thoughtful, and just magical from start to finish. Highly, highly recommend!

The most beautiful wedding venue and incredible staff
The second we stepped through into Merrydale Manor, we knew this venue was the one. Every area is kept so neat and beautiful, so we knew we'd have the most beautiful backdrop to all our photos throughout the day. They had great communication throughout, ensuring we had time to sit down with a wedding coordinator near the beginning of our planning and about 6 weeks before to finalise the details. They were always so responsive by email and on the phone for the million questions I had and were really receptive to any of our requests for minor changes to fit our needs.
The venue is full accessible for wheelchair users which was really important for a couple of our guests, and since many of our vendors were Manchester based, they already knew the venue already which put us at ease. Couldn’t do enough for us
The whole team at Merrydale were absolutely amazing on our wedding day. They couldn’t do enough for us and we didn’t have to lift a finger all day! Everything was executed perfectly and the whole day ran so smoothly under their guidance. Thank you Merrydale for making our day so magical.

The most perfect special day!
We cannot thank Merrydale enough for hosting our amazing day, from start to finish everything went so smoothly. The staff was amazing and could not do enough for us and our guests, you are an amazing team. A big special thank you to McKenzie who was with me all morning and made sure everything was perfect.
From the first time we visited Merrydale on an opening day we knew this venue was the one for us. Michael had shown us around this stunning venue and we instantly fell in love. We are so pleased we picked Merrydale to host our wedding, all of our guests have complemented on how beautiful the venue was, how everything just went perfect & how all the staff was so lovely.

Dream wedding turned into reality by the amazing team and suppliers at Merrydale!
From the moment we visited Merrydale Manor we fell in love with the place. Every time we visited Merrydale for wedding meetings etc.. the grounds and buildings were stunning, not a blade of grass out of place, it even looked stunning in Winter time. The team here are incredible, they gave you confidence from the start that everything would be taken care of and your day would be perfect. On the wedding day itself they had a team of people looking after the wedding making sure every single detail no matter how big or small was taken care of and ran smoothly. Every room in the venue, Ceremony room, Wedding breakfast room etc.. was utterly stunning, our expectations were quite high and they far exceeded these. Most of the people that came to our wedding said that it was the best wedding they had every been to and the food and service provided by Barretts was impeccable.
Thank you so much for making our wedding the most memorable day of our lives and an incredible experience.
Merrydale Manor have set the bar so high for a wedding venue, its hard to imagine anything could be improved here!

The most magical venue to have for your wedding!
Choosing Merrydale Manor for our wedding is one of the best decisions I ever made. I visited 13 different venues and the minute I arrived at Merrydale Manor, I knew it was the one. The whole Merrydale Team are so incredibly friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like you are part of the family. They are so supportive and always on hand to answer any questions. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We have such magical memories of our special day. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The whole venue is impeccable, every detail is beautifully designed to wow you and your guests.
They really did make all our dreams come true. The wedding team’s amazing organisation and ability to help with every detail made the whole day run seamlessly. It was perfect in every way. They really are the BEST at what they do! I will cherish the memories forever.

Our Magical Wedding at Merrydale Manor
Getting married at Merrydale is a truly wonderful experience, and if you’re lucky enough to have the option to get married there - don’t think twice! The exceptional grounds speak for themselves, but there’s so much more to Merrydale than what instantly meets your eyes as you enter the premises. Everything is immaculate, the attention to detail is second to none. The ceremony room, Merrydale Suite, the makeup room, the Cave, the rooms & more are all just exquisite. If you want to have a stress free wedding day and not even have to think about what your own name is, then Merrydale is the place for you. The staff - including the wedding planners, toastmaster, Barrett’s - are simply incredible. Everything ran like a military operation on the day, which allowed everyone to relax and enjoy themselves completely. The compliments we got from our guests on everything - from the grounds, atmosphere, food, service - were in abundance. I wish I could relive my wedding day as it was beyond special.

Merrydale Manor & its team truly made our wedding day what it was.
The venue is stunning & all of our guests were in awe! The team (both on the day and prior) were so helpful and calming, and nothing was ever too much to ask for.
You really do get your value for money; the whole grounds are immaculate & the Manor House was perfect for my family the night before the wedding. Our co-ordinator on the day, Georgia, was a friendly face that kept popping up every so often to check I was ok & if I needed anything. She could tell when I was getting a little nervous or overwhelmed and knew how to calm me down.
I feel like all the staff at Merrydale know how and what to say at the right times. There was no one that didn’t give 110% on our day, and they made us feel like we were royalty!
We wish we could do the day over & over again, it was just perfect.

We had our wedding at Merrydale Manor in July, and it was truly the most perfect day we could have imagined! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. A special day
From start to finish, being shown around at a viewing to packing the bags back into the car the day after the wedding. Merrydale manor were flawless. They made a special day even more memorable and don’t get me started on the house and grounds… utterly beautiful. Merrydale manor will always hold a special place in our hearts and deserve every award possible.

As a wedding coorinator at Merrydale Manor, my favourite part of my job is doing my best to ensure that each couple experiences the best day of their lives.
Witnessing the happiness of couples have their perfect day that they've dreamt of for so long is very rewarding.
I also love meeting newly engaged couples at open days and watching them fall in love with Merrydale Manor. Its a gorgeous venue that I feel very proud to work at.

Merrydale Manor has a fantastic reputation in the wedding industry, so I was excited by the opportunity to lead the bar team at such a well-known venue. I've worked in hospitality for over 13 years, specialising in weddings and events, and have also collaborated with major drink brands on brand development, activations and training.
I particularly enjoy working with couples to plan their drinks, but the most rewarding part is seeing everything come together on their wedding day. After years working with global drinks brands, I've become a bit of a drinks nerd!
I can't wait to meet couples, work alongside the team and start my journey here at Merrydale Manor.
