Hotel Wedding Venues in Lancashire

We booked the grand hotel for our indian wedding and reception, we had almost 400 guests attending and the hotel met our needs for the wedding. We had great contact throughout with Nicole, she helped us at the initial viewing and subsequent site visits, she responded swiftly to any queries and emails we sent and was a great help on the day. We also had guests stay at the hotel and they were happy with the rooms and service they received. All in all it was the perfect venue for our special day.

Highly recommend Astley Bank. From start to finish they were amazing. We had the best day celebrating our wedding at the hotel, staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was delicious. Also great value. Really inexpensive, homely, friendly, pretty venue.

Our wedding on the 24/09/22 was the most perfect day. Memories to last forever. It was a fantastic experience from the day we booked. Excellent value for money, friendly staff helping from start to finish. Ceremony was lovely, room decor was perfect, quick turn around for wedding breakfast. Guests could use the lounge or bar area during the turn round of room.The food was to die for...our guests still speak about it now. The service incredible. Highly recommend. Amazing venue

Had a huge wedding here and we were so well looked after. The events planning team are new but very well organised and executed our wedding day so perfectly! We stayed in the bridal suite, and were very well looked after by all of the hotel's team during the weekend. Most of our guests also stayed here for the wedding weekend and everyone had a wonderful time. The facilities are clean, the breakfast is soooo good, the spa is lovey, overall a beautiful place to stay and an excellent place for a wedding! Highly recommend to all

We couldn’t have hoped for anything more. Hannah was fabulous throughout the planning process, always helpful and patient. After our first visit we spent the whole day just talking about Shaw Hill so we knew it was the place for us. I definitely contacted Hannah with lots of questions, sometimes the same question more than once and she was always so friendly and patient with me. Always assuring me (a self confessed control freak) that everything would be taken care of and set up the way we want. On the day Alex was so attentive and guided our day wonderfully. When we arrived from church we had drinks and canapés waiting for us. The room was set up just as I had hoped and during our wedding breakfast nothing was too much trouble. The team are so knowledgeable, Alex asked what playlist we would like during our wedding breakfast and said they had something that seemed like it would be our style following our entrance to Chris Brown Forever and it absolutely was our style. A few guests couldn’t resist a dance between courses telling me the music was spot on. Simple things like this made us feel so well taken care of throughout the whole day. We’ve had numerous compliments from guests about how amazing the food was. The evening do was incredible, our DJ who we booked through Shaw Hill was wonderful and it was down to him that the dance floor was never empty, the atmosphere was something else throughout the whole day. We even had to get the cake cut before our guests danced it off the dance floor. A week later I’m still living on the high of the day, it was truly spectacular. Thank you to the whole team at Shaw Hill for making our day so wonderful.

Our wedding day was truly unforgettable, and so much of that is thanks to the incredible team at Wennington. Six months prior to our big day, our original venue went up for sale by the owners which wasn’t communicated, and although once I enquired what was happening we were told they would honour our wedding date, I didn’t feel confident as communication was already poor, and I didn’t know what service we would receive on the day. After a quick call with Alicia at Wennington, the team completely put my worries to rest. They were incredibly flexible and accommodating, helping to ease my stress and walk me through all the possibilities to bring my vision to life. With only six months to go, we still managed our meal tasting and a number of meetings to discuss how the day would unroll. I was provided with all the information I needed and then we worked on what I wanted to build into the day and any random requests to make our day special. Even when it rained in the morning, they seamlessly adjusted the plans to ensure everything ran smoothly. While the venue itself is stunning, it was the team that truly made our day exceptional. They took care of every detail, went out of their way to make sure I was happy, and ensured all our guests were well taken care of. From the smallest touches to the big moments, their dedication was evident. We had the most amazing day, completely stress-free, knowing the team had everything under control. The photos and videos turned out beautifully, and we've received so many wonderful comments about how much everyone enjoyed the wedding and how relaxed they felt, thanks to the team's impeccable planning. We couldn't be more grateful for everything they did to make our day perfect. The venue of our dreams truly came to life, especially after completing the first stage of its renovation. Every detail was absolutely breathtaking, from the elegant ceiling and light fittings to the stunning staircase and beautiful wedding breakfast room. The space was so impressive that I was able to scale back on the florals, as the venue itself already had such a perfect, minimalistic charm. The rooms were thoughtfully laid out, and our honeymoon stay was exceptional. It was the ideal blend of newly renovated sophistication, romance, and grandeur – everything we could have hoped for and more.

Our wedding coordinator India made our wedding day so beautiful, despite hiccups throughout the day (nothing go do with the venue but our suppliers, India supported us right the way through, she was so caring, professional and supportive and made our wedding the perfect day. I can't express enough gratitude for the hotel for making our day so beautiful, they have guests for life! Not just us but our family and friends thought the venue was gorgous ans are regular customers now.

We got married on New Year’s Eve 2024 and honestly, it was everything we hoped for and more. The whole day was perfect start to finish. The team behind the scenes were incredible. Everything ran so smoothly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Huge thanks to Elle, who helped bring it all together, nothing was too mcuh. The food was delicious and the grounds are absolutely stunning. Can’t recommend Stanley house enough. They made the whole experience feel effortless and unforgettable. I just want to do it all again! Xxx
