Rachael Meyer is full time humanist wedding celebrant, writing and delivering memorable, non religious wedding ceremonies and vow renewal ceremonies in Harrogate, Leeds, York and the Yorkshire Dales. Smiley, calm, friendly and flexible, she's a professional, emotional and humorous writer with great ideas and attention to detail and a love of music, dogs and cats. PA system available for outdoor weddings and other unusual venues.
My ceremonies are fuelled by love and celebration, not religion, legal jargon or contractual words. Whether you are young, old, straight, gay, lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer or anything in between and whether this is your first, second or third wedding, couples with any backstory, cultural heritage, ethnicity and spiritual belief will enjoy a creative, meaningful but relaxed and fun-filled wedding ceremony.
Want to include your furry friends or a host of technology? You want beauty, laughter, a cracking story, emotional vows and happy tears? No problem. Whatever style you prefer, as a professional story teller, and previous event manager, photographer and video producer, nothing fazes mel.
My ceremonies can be held anywhere - outdoors, in posh hotels, stately homes, barns, pubs, private hosues, gardens, in tipis or in village halls. You choose! Ceremonies can be traditional and simple or totally off the wall. I love weddings and people (I used to be a wedding photographer) and can offer a host of ideas, guidance on music, readings.
We're all unique - let's celebrate love!

The most perfect celebrant and celebration you could wish for.
We cannot thank Rachael enough for making our ceremony (even under some heavy restrictions) as perfect as it was. Rachael guided us through the initial meetings seamlessly, which led to a ceremony that was incredibly personal, funny, touching, beautiful, and a perfect representation of our our relationship.

Book them !!!
If you’re looking for a wedding coordinator or/and a photographer look no more! Rachael and Simon are some of the most genuine people we have ever met , hard-working and honest. We took the risk and paid for everything in advance (the prices were great) before the ceremony and we are glad we did, they did an outstanding job, Rachael showed true interest and excitement in our wedding from day one and was just super friendly and easy to talk to. She did a great job with our interview and script and the wedding ceremony itself was unique and so special thanks to this. Simon was just so much fun to be around and made everyone laugh which made us more relaxed for the photos. The photos he took were so beautiful that they almost reduced us to tears, the composition, the colours, the places he chose everything was just perfection and the photos look magical. Their daughter Georgia was very kind and offered to look after our puppies during the ceremony and play the music which was a bonus because it allowed our small audience to relax instead of chasing the dogs lol We can’t recommend them enough just book them!! :)Sent on 20/10/2019

Wonderful ceremony, expertly delivered!
We choose Rachael to host our humanist wedding couldn’t have make a better decision. After the legal ceremony our 40 strong wedding party retired to a pub in for the reception. We decided to hold the humanist ceremony after the evening guests had arrived. Racheal did such a good job of telling our story! She’s a lovely person that makes you feel completely as ease and the speech that she created was warm, funny and very romantic. The experience was really enjoyable. Meeting Rachael and being interviewed was like meeting an old friend and she made it really fun. We had plenty of time to review the words without pressure but Rachael made sure we were on track with timings. When planning we met Rachael at the venue and as she has a background in events she was able to liaise with the venue on the finer details to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Rachael and her husband also did our photography, this made the whole process really convenient, it limited the amount of different suppliers we had to deal with, and they had a really good understanding of how we wanted the day to work. The ceremony itself was a real treat. We had kept it a secret from our guests so to see a sea of faces smiling as Rachael spoke was lovely. We have had so many fantastic responses about the evening, the evening guests really felt they had played a part in our day as many were mentioned in the ceremony. I also appreciated receiving the folder with all of the ceremony detail in afterwards. It is a really lovely touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rachael, she did such a sterling job and made the planning much more enjoyable too!Sent on 07/04/2019
