The most perfect day. We held our wedding reception at City of London Freemen’s School and it was absolutely perfect. The grounds are stunning, we had a marquee joined to the common room in main building, and thanks to beautiful weather we were able to open the sides and look out over the Italian Garden, which created such a special atmosphere. What really stood out to us, though, was the incredible staff. Their communication and flexibility in the run-up to the day made a huge difference, especially when coordinating with various suppliers and managing a few last-minute changes. On the day, they went above and beyond, they were present, helpful, and even brought in a few items from home at the last moment to make sure everything was just right. We felt genuinely supported the whole way through. And the food… wow. Our guests are still talking about it, many said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. We had a hybrid of an American BBQ and a Ploughman’s menu, which was beyond anything we could have imagined. Every course, from the canapés to the desserts, looked beautiful in the way it was presented and tasted even better. We were blown away. I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing on the day. It was a dream day, and the venue and its staff played such a huge part in making it so memorable.
