Burloes Hall is a beautiful Queen Anne country house with stunning views of the rolling chalk hills of North Hertfordshire. The generous lawns, bordered by handsome beech trees and mature yew hedges enclose secret Edwardian gardens makes Burloes Hall an ideal venue for weddings.
Located on the borders of North Herfordshire and Cambridgeshire, Burloes Hall is within easy reach of London, the M11 and the A1 and is well served by railway stations from central London.
Burloes Hall offers lovely gardens for a bespoke wedding reception with a wonderful choice of village churches in the surrounding villages of Barkway, Barley, Melbourn and Chishill. Although we do not have a civil license you could still hold your wedding ceremony in the gardens using a celebrant.
Burloes Hall offers two locations for wedding receptions: the gardens of Burloes Hall which can accommodate up to 200 guests or the picturesque pasture near the house, which can accommodate up to 300 guests. Both create a truly rural experience.
At Burloes Hall we offer a personal service and can help you create your perfect wedding day . No matter how formal or informal we can cater for any style of wedding.

Perfect, picturesque venue
Burloes Hall was everything we wished for and more. From start to finish, our whole experience was amazing and we honestly couldn’t have had a more perfect day. Nicole and Katherine were so helpful and happy for us to add our own touches to make this day our own, nothing we asked was too big or small and the day ran seamlessly. They put us in touch with local suppliers who we would highly recommend and made us feel welcome from the start. Lastly - the grounds and views are breathtaking and offered the perfect backdrop for our wedding. If we’re honest, this is what we fell in love with first and everything else we experienced was an amazing added bonus. Wish we could go back and do it all again!Sent on 12/08/2020

A hidden gem in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside
We chose Burloes Hall as our wedding venue for June 2017 on a very grey February day 15 months beforehand, but as soon as we arrived to visit we could tell we'd found somewhere special - and on the day it exceeded all of our expectations!
Nicole & Katherine couldn't have been more helpful during the planning process & on the day itself, and we loved the freedom we were given to enjoy our wedding day as we chose. Burloes really feels like a unique venue & is so far removed from the revolving-door feeling you get when visiting other venues, due to the limited number of weddings which take place there each year.
The views across the open fields are stunning, the marquee is of a very high quality & although the venue is surrounded by beautiful countryside, it's only a few minutes drive to great transport links by car or rail.
The grounds make for some amazing photo & video opportunities, and the little extra touches such as the lanterns that were lit at night make it such a special place.
Our only regret is that we can't do it all over again, but if we could we'd choose Burloes every time.Sent on 13/08/2020

One of the best days of our lives and absolutely the best venue ever! I fell in love the moment I set eye on Burloes Hall. Both Nicole and Katharine made us feel at ease from the beginning...if we had to do it all over again it will be with them.. all our guest complimented how stunning the venue and grounds are. Thank you so much for everything.Sent on 07/08/2020
