Smeaton Productions is a Photography and Video company that documents weddings in Plymouth, Devon and further afield. As the owner and lead filmmaker, Adam McCarthy has been capturing romantic celebrations since the summer of 2019. He has done videography and photography work for a selection of theatre companies across the South West, though wedding filmmaking is where his true passion lies. Inspired by your special spark, he is committed to providing you with a cinematic heirloom that lets you revisit your precious memories.

The Man that Can 📷🔥
Adam has just covered the photography and videography for our wedding. although we have only had the sneak peak so far we are over the moon with the pictures already and couldnt wait to write the review. he was prompt and friendly, up for a laugh and nothing was too much to ask. He interacted well with the children and all the guests. Honestly a pleasure to meet him and have him cover our day. we just know the rest of the pictures will be as amazing as the first lot. Highly Recommend him. Keep on smashing it Adam 5* 👏🏻

The best wedding day we could of had , an outstanding , professional videographer
From the moment we found our videographer we had updates on how things would work . We met on line as this gentleman wasn’t local to us . Our videographer explained how the day would run and arrived earlier than expected ( always a bonus ) the whole experience was made calm , professional and fun .
Our videographer from smeatons productions worked alongside all at the wedding venue a hotel in Falmouth , from working alongside my photographer, wedding planner to hotel staff . He made all of our wedding simply the best , he engaged not only with us but our wedding guests as well as the children . He was courteous , professional , funny , polite and an outstanding member of our team creating the best bits from our day .

An award winner with amazing prices
Adam was absolutely fantastic throughout our wedding day on Nov 4th 2024. We had originally booked 2 other photographers (at separate times), who unfortunately both let us down - with a bit of research, we found Adam. An award winning photographer with fantastic prices, what more could you want? We both stated that we were camera shy, but with Adams natural eye for great photos, you can not tell this in any of our sneak peeks. We can not wait to get the remainder of our photos back!
