I’m Peter Haken, an award-winning Oxford wedding photographer creating natural, documentary-led wedding photography across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, London and selected UK locations.
My approach is calm, honest and story-driven. I photograph weddings for couples who want the day to feel real, not staged. No forced posing. No awkward direction. No turning the wedding into a production. Just real moments, strong composition and images that still feel like your day.
Most of my coverage is documentary, which means I work quietly and let the day unfold naturally. I step in only when it helps, usually for family group photos, relaxed couple portraits and the practical parts of the day where a little calm direction makes everything easier.
I’m based in Oxford, so much of my work is across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. I also photograph weddings throughout Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, including barn weddings, manor house celebrations, countryside venues, town weddings and relaxed private events.
The aim is simple: a complete wedding gallery that feels stylish, personal and emotionally true to what actually happened. From morning preparations through to the ceremony, speeches, portraits and evening party, I focus on the people, the atmosphere and the unscripted moments that give the day its shape.

A curated 35mm film add-on for couples who want a softer, more textured layer within the final gallery.
