Paul was the perfect photographer; he knew exactly what we wanted, and we have the photos we had envisioned.

Photographing the elopement of two reserved and somewhat camera shy people might be daunting for some photographers, but Paul knew exactly how to make us feel at ease and take us to some secret parts of the city (Edinburgh), leading to some beautiful and natural images.

What makes Paul's photos special, is the romantic yet timeless quality they have. We've shown the whole album to our families and friends who all gushed at how lovely and "perfect" they were, and how they weren't "the typical cheesy photographs". To top it off, Paul is such an easy going and friendly guy, with good banter and a good sense of humour!

Paul was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From the get go he was understanding and receptive of our ideas and my vision of the day.
Leading up to it he supported us and made sure we had all the info we needed and chatted to us numerous times to make sure we were all on the same page. On the day he was never noticeable and we look back at the near 800 photos not remembering him being there or sticking out, he had the best sense of humour to match our families and friends and it was a joy to have him with us.
He made sure the shots I’d been discussing with him in the months leading up to it were achieved and added his expertise to make sure ones I’d never have thought of happened also.

We are genuinely so grateful of him and his talents. The photographs mean everything to us.

I wanted someone to capture our super small micro wedding to take the pressure off of our parents (the only guests). Candid was the only brief and honestly I could not recommend Paul enough. He went above and beyond for us and really fitted into our wedding party great. Our parents also commented on how lovely he was and deciding to have him on our day is the best decision we made. My husband was really unsure and nervous about having a photographer and Paul put him at easy instantly, it really just felt like we were walking around the village we got married in and we have the most amazing pictures of those moments. Paul was great at communicating with us both before and after our day and I could not recommend him enough. Everyone absolutely loves our photos and I don’t think I’ll ever not be completely obsessed with them!

Working with Paul was absolutely brilliant, he really listened to what we wanted and the photos were everything I hoped they would be. Our brief to Paul was that we wanted the photographs to capture the feeling of our wedding rather than lots of posed pictures, and that's exactly what we got. We couldn't be happier with the end result, it is such a joy to look back on the pictures and for them to reflect the spirit and feeling of such a special day with all of our friends and family.
On the day itself, Paul was amazing. He put everyone at ease and we really valued his professional but relaxed and unobtrusive approach. He also somehow managed to be in a hundred different places at once to capture everything.

Paul was amazing from start to finish. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better photographer. This is coming from a bride who works in the creative industry, so I always pay attention to detail and had a very specific vision of what vibe I wanted. Paul captured this perfectly with no problems at all. He is professional, friendly, talented, and all of our guests said how brilliant he was at his role- and how he seamlessly worked around everyone to capture those candid shots. Nothing at all was too much trouble for him, and when he left in the evening we felt like we had made a friend.
This is all before we even saw the photos! The day after the wedding we got an email with dozens of sneak previews to keep us going whilst Paul edits the rest. What a treat. They were more special and striking than we could have even imagined, and our families were stunned that he got them to us so soon. My Mum literally can't get over the couple shots, she's been showing them to everyone wherever she goes! If you're thinking of booking Paul, run don't walk, as he will be snapped up by another couple I'm sure!

We CANNOT stop looking through our wedding album from Paul, who just went above and beyond to make us feel non cringe and at ease from the moment we had our first zoom chat.
He was super responsive, and managed to find ways to fit all our "inspo ideas" into the day in ways which felt really natural and unforced.
On top of this he's a really sound guy, my family fell in love with him and tried desperately to make him sit down for tea and cakes while we were getting ready - he managed to shoot despite this!
He even drove us to the beach after the ceremony so we could pop a bottle and have our first drink as a married couple, keeping his distance so we could enjoy the moment, then shooting some stunning photos - managing to elude all other people on the beach - the photo's look like we hired the entire coast out!
He got all the details of the day, from signage, to favours, table settings flowers and toasts - all details which can sometimes be overlooked, but a lot of effort goes into in prep for the big day.
His non obtrusive, candid style meant that the day was captured as it was lived - magical.

But also guiding us along our wedding journey giving us our own little nuggets of wisdom to remember on the day and even letting us know what to expect in the led up. From the initial meeting right through to the delivery of the finished photos, Paul was a delight to work with. We were personally conscious of wanting to enjoy a relaxed day, without feeling like we were taking up too much of our or our guests time with photos, and Paul worked that balance perfectly. We have amazing photos that are a great balance of staged and captured in the moment gems. Paul seemed to be everywhere in the most subtle way, with our guests commenting on his professionalism and how nice he was. We would recommend Paul a hundred times over.

We asked Paul to photograph our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.

The initial conversation and booking process was straightforward and Paul immediately put us at ease as we discussed our the plans for the day. We swapped examples of what we liked and the kind of thing we were after from the pictures. We didn’t want too many posed photos, preferring more candid and relaxed shots of events as they would unfold.

On the day it felt just like our friend was with us, documenting the day. Paul was very supportive, unobtrusive and timed his photos perfectly inline with our intimate wedding (under 30 people). We never felt stage managed and the whole process felt very organic.

When we received the photos, only a short while after the wedding, we were delighted with the results. We have shared many of the pictures online with friends and family and we’ve had several printed individually and framed them to display at home. Also, we ordered an album through his store – containing our favourite shots – to be printed and bound, with the front and back covers coated in a cloth the same colour as my wife’s shoes from the day. Paul clearly went above and beyond in getting remarkable pictures and we will reflect happily on them for the rest of our lives – we could not be happier with the outcome.

We would not hesitate to recommend Paul to others; he is truly talented in building trust, working collaboratively and in capturing fantastic pictures!

Paul's service in the run up to our wedding, on the big day & afterwards has been fantastic. He gave us great advice and showed up on the day looking very smart & full of energy. Paul was brilliant to work with from our initial discussions, throughout our wedding, and through to receiving our final wedding album. He provided a professional service, on the day he was in the background capturing our special moments but also took time to focus on us as a couple - whether it be giving us a few moments to ourselves during our couples shoot, or suggesting a few shots at sunset. Paul took into consideration the photos we specifically wanted - from capturing moments with family members, highlighting the decor we had designed and prepared ourselves, or even staying on later in the evening to photograph us both as bride and groom playing with bandmates in a mini-pipe band - but also captured moments that passed us both by on the day such as glances between us and family members seeing us for the first time.
