Myself and my (now) wife eloped during COVID. It was an enormously difficult time for us as it was for many: our family's couldn't be there and other personal matters made it feel as if our little world was so vulnerable.

However, our day was fantastic and Paul was so important to it. Not only did he agree to act as our witness but he made both of us very awkward people feel so relaxed and comfortable despite only knowing us for a matter of minutes. All of our friends and families have described the photos as 'delightfully us', 'sincere', and 'joyful'. They brought tears to our families eyes and still fill us with absolute joy whenever we look at them framed in our home or on the screensaver of every bit of technology we own!!!

He gelled seamlessly into the day. He recognised when we wanted an intimate moment and melted into the background to capture it. Chimed in with the odd comment if we felt a bit awkward being photographed, helping us feel comfortable. And he materialised out of thin air to give us congratulatory hugs after we left the building.

Even writing this review makes me a bit tearful. It was such a wonderful day in the midst of such chaos and I can't think of a single way Paul could have done a better job capturing it.

Paul was phenomenal from start to finish. We had meetings with a few photographers and did some searching around and thought that Paul's price was right compared to other photographers.
We first saw his photography on Instagram and loved his style. We met with Paul and he put us at ease from the first meeting, he was professional, put us first and wanted to make sure he was going to fit in with our day. Saying that, I don't think our initial call did Paul justice because every other interaction after was even better and we know we made the right choice. He was flexible with some slight alterations to the contract without any questions. After that Paul gave us good guidance and suggestions without being too overbearing and that also fed into the day, being commanding without militant - which was especially needed on the family and friend shots. On the big day, we could not fault Paul, he surreptitiously arrived and scoped out of the best spots for photos and came to introduce himself in person when he had the chance. The rest of day was much of the same, getting some cracking shots without getting in the way and lead us away from time to time to take some couple shots. He was gracious enough to allow some of our friends fly a drone and take some videos of us while we were getting our couple shots. He was also very kind to stay a little longer to get some final shots with friends despite being over time and I'm sure he was exhausted by that point. Paul got us the sneak peeks quicker than we expected and then the edited photos within the timeframe he said he would. We love the photos on a computer screen but after printing them we now truly understand his colour grading style, they look even better on print. Paul also did some photoshopping of photos to remove some blemishes from the dress after the fact. All in all, Paul did such a good job and exceeded our already high expectations. We can't thank and recommend him enough.

Paul was great from start to finish. Having only met online before our wedding it was amazing how easily he slotted into the day, making everyone feel at ease - relatives even assumed he was one of our friends because he was so personable! We're really happy with our photos and would definitely recommend him.

Paul is the best. He worked closely with us on the run up to the wedding to make sure he was familiar with the spaces & the type of shots we wanted. He was with us for a couple of days as we had an event organized the night before the wedding. On the day of the wedding he already knew everyone & managed everyone with humor and aplomb. He kept everything moving & was very accommodating and flexible. The photographs were amazing. Really beautifully candid & captured the absolute & real joy of our wedding. He really delivered on our original remit and easily exceeded our expectations.

We honestly could not recommend Paul Andrews enough. From start to finish, his communication was excellent, with relaxed and helpful pre wedding chats that made everything feel easy and well organised.

He was brilliant at handling big family dynamics and blended in effortlessly on the day. The candid shots are incredible, especially important as my husband hates having his photo taken, yet Paul captured him so naturally without it ever feeling forced.

The turnaround time was amazing. We loved receiving fully edited preview photos within 48 hours, which was such a special touch and really exceeded our expectations.

On top of all of that, Paul is just a great guy. Very friendly, casual and genuinely chilled, which is exactly the vibe we wanted for our wedding day.

Paul put in a lot of thought and effort meeting with us ahead of the wedding, making sure he would be able to capture every detail of the day and to tell our story. The day itself was flawless, Paul captured amazing photos yet managed to fade into the background of the key moments. We had a lot of comments about how much fun people had interacting with Paul, overall he is just a great guy. We couldn't thank him enough.

Created a very friendly, relaxed but professional environment for understanding what we were looking for from the photos for wedding and helping us to consider things we hadn’t/wouldn’t have thought of.

On the day Paul captured our day perfectly and helped us get what we want while not taking us away from our guests for too long which was important to us. Also helped keep us relaxed on the day and a number of guests commented on how nice he was while going about the day.

Also Paul is very responsive to emails and keeps you updated throughout the development process.

Paul was a treat to work with from our very first meeting. He took time to get to know our vision and was happy to take a documentary-style approach to our wedding, with relatively few set photos and the majority captured candidly. He was professional and discreet during the ceremony, and took a nice balance of pictures of us and our guests. He edited the pictures incredibly well, leaving us an album of photos that are warm, autumnal and decadent. We were most grateful for Paul picturing our wedding only a couple of weeks after the birth of his child!
