  Perfect - exactly what we were hoping for!

  Paul was the perfect photographer; he knew exactly what we wanted, and we have the photos we had envisioned.
  
  Photographing the elopement of two reserved and somewhat camera shy people might be daunting for some photographers, but Paul knew exactly how to make us feel at ease and take us to some secret parts of the city (Edinburgh), leading to some beautiful and natural images.
  
  What makes Paul's photos special, is the romantic yet timeless quality they have. We've shown the whole album to our families and friends who all gushed at how lovely and "perfect" they were, and how they weren't "the typical cheesy photographs". To top it off, Paul is such an easy going and friendly guy, with good banter and a good sense of humour!

  Paul was the perfect photographer; he knew exactly what we wanted, and we have the photos we had envisioned.

  Paul's service in the run up to our wedding, on the big day & afterwards has been fantastic. He gave us great advice and showed up on the day looking very smart & full of energy. He paid particular attention to detail for our requested pics & ensured he was able to get the beat shots possible. He was a proper professional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

  Relaxed and Engaging

  Paul was brilliant to work with from our initial discussions, throughout our wedding, and through to receiving our final wedding album. He provided a professional service, on the day he was in the background capturing our special moments but also took time to focus on us as a couple - whether it be giving us a few moments to ourselves during our couples shoot, or suggesting a few shots at sunset. Paul took into consideration the photos we specifically wanted - from capturing moments with family members, highlighting the decor we had designed and prepared ourselves, or even staying on later in the evening to photograph us both as bride and groom playing with bandmates in a mini-pipe band - but also captured moments that passed us both by on the day such as glances between us and family members seeing us for the first time. We would highly recommend Paul to be your wedding photographer.

  He’s everything you need!

  Paul managed to do it all. He brought a buzz and an energy which kept everyone engaged, but he was also able to fade into the background so that we forgot he was shooting. He knows what he’s doing, and he’s able to place people and prompt really clearly so that even we knew what we were doing! Paul made everyone feel special and the results were phenomenal. Thank you Paul!!

  Huge respect for this professional

  Myself and my (now) wife eloped during COVID. It was an enormously difficult time for us as it was for many: our family's couldn't be there and other personal matters made it feel as if our little world was so vulnerable.
  
  However, our day was fantastic and Paul was so important to it. Not only did he agree to act as our witness but he made both of us very awkward people feel so relaxed and comfortable despite only knowing us for a matter of minutes. All of our friends and families have described the photos as 'delightfully us', 'sincere', and 'joyful'. They brought tears to our families eyes and still fill us with absolute joy whenever we look at them framed in our home or on the screensaver of every bit of technology we own!!!
  
  He gelled seamlessly into the day. He recognised when we wanted an intimate moment and melted into the background to capture it. Chimed in with the odd comment if we felt a bit awkward being photographed, helping us feel comfortable. And he materialised out of thin air to give us congratulatory hugs after we left the building.
  
  Even writing this review makes me a bit tearful. It was such a wonderful day in the midst of such chaos and I can't think of a single way Paul could have done a better job capturing it.

  The best day captured perfectly

  Paul was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From the get go he was understanding and receptive of our ideas and my vision of the day.
  Leading up to it he supported us and made sure we had all the info we needed and chatted to us numerous times to make sure we were all on the same page. On the day he was never noticeable and we look back at the near 800 photos not remembering him being there or sticking out, he had the best sense of humour to match our families and friends and it was a joy to have him with us.
  He made sure the shots I’d been discussing with him in the months leading up to it were achieved and added his expertise to make sure ones I’d never have thought of happened also.
  
  We are genuinely so grateful of him and his talents. The photographs mean everything to us.

  He was able to capture really important moments without being invasive, moments that would have been lost had it not been for his work.
  
  We only had him for two hours and even in that space of time he got everything we needed.

  Highly recommended

  Paul came highly recommended by my cousin and his wife who had recently used him for their wedding photography. My friends had been unable to afford a photographer, something we realised very close to the wedding so we wanted to gift Paul and his skills. He was responsive and informative in the lead up to the event, and on the day had the confidence to direct some of us who were less comfortable in front of the camera. Sneak peak shots were revealed swiftly after the wedding, and the rest of the shots were released in the timeline Paul suggested. I know the couple were delighted with the results. Couldn't recommend Paul enough.

  I wanted someone to capture our super small micro wedding to take the pressure off of our parents (the only guests). Candid was the only brief and honestly I could not recommend Paul enough. He went above and beyond for us and really fitted into our wedding party great. Our parents also commented on how lovely he was and deciding to have him on our day is the best decision we made. My husband was really unsure and nervous about having a photographer and Paul put him at easy instantly, it really just felt like we were walking around the village we got married in and we have the most amazing pictures of those moments. Paul was great at communicating with us both before and after our day and I could not recommend him enough. Everyone absolutely loves our photos and I don’t think I’ll ever not be completely obsessed with them!

  We really like the natural shots in Paul's albums and Instagram - he was a great communicator from start to finish putting my wife and I at ease through the process. He had a great approach, allowing us to tell him what we wanted and then also suggesting some idea which could work better which we really appreciated. We came out of this with an agreed schedule for the day.
  
  On the day Paul was smartly dressed and took the stress out of the day. We got such amazing shots which we love!
