M Banka Photography offers relaxed, natural wedding photography for couples who want to enjoy their day without spending hours posing for the camera.
Based in Melrose in the Scottish Borders, Mags has been photographing weddings since 2017 and covers weddings throughout the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, Northumberland and beyond.
Her approach is friendly, unobtrusive and documentary-led, capturing the real emotions, laughter, little details and moments that make every wedding unique. When it comes to couple portraits, Mags offers gentle direction so couples never have to worry about knowing how to pose.
From intimate ceremonies to full wedding celebrations, different coverage options are available to suit the day.
Couples receive professionally edited photographs in a private online gallery, with galleries normally delivered within 1–2 weeks.
Most importantly, Mags wants couples to enjoy their wedding. She’ll step in and help when needed, then quietly capture the moments as they naturally unfold.

What does the wedding package include?
Pre-wedding consultation, natural wedding photography, professional editing, high-resolution images and private online gallery. Full-day packages also include an engagement session
How far in advance should I contact you?
As soon as your date is confirmed. Popular dates can book well in advance, but I’m always happy to check availability for last-minute and intimate weddings
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, based in the Scottish Borders, I cover weddings across the Borders, Edinburgh, Northumberland and throughout Scotland. I’m also happy to travel further for your wedding
What is the charge for travelling?
Travel within the Scottish Borders is included. For weddings further afield, travel and any necessary accommodation costs will be discussed before booking

Professional mirrorless cameras, professional lenses and lighting equipment. I always work with backup equipment to ensure your wedding is covered safely

Yes, private online gallery where couples can view, download and share their high-resolution wedding photographs with family and friends

Perfect in every way
Mags was absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much for her, all my guests commented how great she was and she went above and beyond for us to make sure we had a great day, she even fed my baby while we had dinner so we could enjoy it, she had bubbles for the other kids at the wedding she was amazing and I would highly recommend her, the service you get is our of this world.

Mags is just wonderful
Cannot recommend enough. Mags is a wonderful photographer and captured really natural and beautiful images from our wedding. I have recommended her to everyone I know and have used her services since. She makes everything so easy and is an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Outstanding photographer!
could not have asked for a better photographer! Outstanding communication and flexibility. Not only did we end up with the most beautiful photographs, but Magda put us completely at ease, we were able to have a good laugh and relax completely. I think it is safe to say that our special day would not have been so special without her. The photos were finished so quickly and they look fantastic! I only have positive things to say, and would definitely use her again for other events if we ever needed a photographer. I would 100% recommend Magda to anyone!
