Congratulations! Hi my name is Karen and I am a qualified, full time, professional photographer with over 25 years of experience. If like me you don’t enjoy having your photo taken and are a little camera shy, I may be the photographer for you. Specializing in telling your unique story, my natural, reportage style, enables me to photograph the day as it unfolds in a discreet way with an emphasis on emotion, atmosphere, a sense of place and details. Capturing all the love and laughter, the essence of your day from your morning preparations to late into your evening celebrations. If there are still unique moments to photograph, I will still be there.
For some romantic, special bride and groom photos I invite you to take a quiet walk away from the whirlwind that is your wedding day. We will have discussed your favorite places and a few photo ideas at our planning meeting so that on the day I can remain some distance away with my big lens and not pose you. Giving you some time to catch your breath and share a few precious moments alone together. The photos will show your true characters and feelings at this special time.
Some relaxed group photos can be included too.
All collections include all edited images on a USB (unlimited number) presented in a unique wooden box styled to compliment your wedding theme. If you choose to add an album I have a stunning selection with different sizes, covers and papers to suit all budgets and styles.
I consider it a privilege to be asked to photograph such a special day in a couple's life and take great pride in capturing images that evoke emotion and memories to treasure forever. It would be a pleasure to photograph your wedding day for you. Please contact me to arrange an informal, no obligation consultation to view my work and tell me your plans. Karen.

Yes. I cover weddings throughout South East, South West and Southern England but am very happy to travel further afield if requested.
What is the charge for travelling?
There is no travel charge but there may be a minimal, negotiable accommodation charge for weddings taking place in destinations with more than a two hour travel time.
What style of photos do you take?
Documentary, reportage, candid, unobtrusive, natural.
What kind of technology do you use?
I am a digital photographer and use the latest professional camera and editing equipment.
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I specialise in taking photos for couples who may be a little camera shy. For bride and groom photos we discuss ideas at a planning meeting so that on your wedding day you are able to go for a quiet walk alone with me some distance away capturing your true emotions at this time. I don't pose each shot.

I use professional Canon digital cameras and have several professional lenses. I use bounced flash late evening. I use the lastest professional software to edit the photos.
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes. I provide a highlights gallery of photos in a password protected area on my website for couples to see when they return from honeymoon and then couples can choose their favourite images to display in this gallery for guests to view. The facility for guests to order pints can also be added.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
From 4 to 6 weeks.
Do you send all the photos taken?
I edit out all the photos where I thought people were going to smile but they sneezed instead! Plus all photos with eyes shut, plus any duplicates. In other words I select the best photos. I carry out further editing in my personal style and remove any unsightly signs that were present at the venue. I also select a few to be converted to black and white. (the colour version will also be provided). I then place all these edited photos on a usb. (unlimited number - minimum of 700 photos for a full wedding day.)
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I normally work alone but a second photographer can be provided for the morning if photos of the groom getting ready are also requested and I am unable to cover both locations due to distance. Or couples would just like two photographers. An extra fee is applied.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
If circumstances were so extreme that I was unable to attend I do have a network of photographers that would be contacted.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
Anyone who takes a photo has the copyright of that photo. However, I ask all my couples if they are happy for me to use photos for promotional purposes.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
I offer a full day rate as I like to capture the full story of your wedding day. However a bespoke quotation can be tailored to a couples exact requirements if less hours are required.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes of course I can work extra hours up to a maximum of 12.
How do you charge extra time?
Weddings often run over time and I will stay until I have photographed all that you requested. If however you originally booked me to stay until the end of your drinks reception but on your wedding day you ask me to stay much longer to cover your first dance or later, an extra hourly fee may be applied in consultation with you.
What are the forms of payment?
Preferred payment is by Bank Transfer. However, cheques, cash or PayPal also accepted.
How do you work?
I work unobtrusively preserving the true story of your wedding day. From your morning preparations to well beyond your first dance. All the special moments plus all the emotion. Laughing with your bridesmaids in the morning, the groomsmen sharing joke, Dad seeing you in your wedding dress for the first time, Mum wiping away a tear during the ceremony, your guests enjoying the day, plus all the totally unique moments that make your day so special. I love it when guests arrive for the ceremony who haven't seen each other for awhile, so much emotion and the laughter. I also love the speeches, so much laughter and maybe tears. Romantic, natural bride and groom photos are taken on a quiet walk with me some distance away, capturing this special time. I observe and capture the day, I don't manage it. The only time I will be more evident is during any group photos you wish me to take.

I found Parkwin photography on hitched and we could not be happier with the service we had from Karen. Karen is extremely talented, hard working and reliable. Not only is she a fantastic photographer but a wonderful person. From the moment we met Karen we knew she was the photographer we wanted. Karen helped put us at ease throughout and during the pre-wedding shoot she gave us useful tips for the actual wedding day. She gave us plenty of time to talk through the plan for the whole day and what photos we wanted to have taken. Not being massive fans of being photographed Karen managed to make us feel relaxed in front of the camera and she captured our day perfectly, even managing to get some brilliant shots of us in the rain! We have so many beautiful photographs from Karen to help remind us of our day and we can't thank her enough. We had lots of comments from our guests about how lovely Karen was and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.Sent on 21/07/2016

Karen is amazing!
Karen photographed our May wedding at Tewin Bury Farm, and I really cannot sing her praises enough. I spoke to a number of photographers in the preperation for our wedding and it was by chance that I met Karen at a wedding fayre when I was just about to go with another supplier. She has such a lovely way about her and I instantly felt at ease. As soon as I saw a sample of her photos I knew I had to book her. My other half was much more reluctant about the photography as he did not want it to "take over the whole day". We met Karen for a pre-wedding shoot about 6 weeks before the wedding, as reluctant as he was he couldn't help but admit that she was wonderful. Having been completely chilled out in the run up to the wedding I suddenly turned into a nervous wreck on the day, but Karen was a complete superstar and really helped to make me feel comfortable. She got the photos we wanted but in a way that made it feel chilled out and relaxed. I received our photos a few days ago; the end results were fantastic and have brought back all the wonderful memories we felt from the day. I think the best thing about Karen is not only is she a super talented photographer, she understands that each bride and groom are different and she photographs to suit the couple. Plus she is a lovely lady who I can honestly say it was a pleasure to meet. I cannot recommend her enough!Sent on 16/06/2015
