Chris was an absolutely fantastic photographer and one who took real care getting to know what we wanted for our wedding. He really got to the heart of the vibe and energy we wanted as well as took the time to nail down what were the key groups / sections of the day and any dynamics which are sometimes a bit tricky to navigate!

The images we received were the perfect balance of crafted and candid, and on the day we never felt that Chris was looming which I have seen with other weddings I have attended! He was gracious as an attendee, made everyone feel comfortable and got the best out of all the subjects he was capturing.

At times I didn’t even notice he was there until I saw the photos when they were delivered - it’s clear he was a ninja in a past life.

Not only did he capture our guests and family in the best way, but he was also skilled at capturing still life and environmental shots which meant a lot, as we took such pride in our venue and decor. He’s clearly very well versed in his craft and also briefed us on the best time of day to capture certain moments.

All in all I couldn’t recommend Chris more, he felt as much a guest as a vendor and we absolutely couldn't have asked for more.

Booking Chris was the easiest decision we made and could not have wished for a better photographer.
We chose him off the back of his online portfolio. The quality of the other weddings he'd shot was in a different league. And he exceeded what we'd seen. The photos are beautiful.

What we didn't expect was how much of the value sits outside the day itself. A few weeks before, he ran a pre-shoot. It meant we'd spent proper time with him before the wedding, it broke the ice and he used it to give us genuinely useful tips on posing which made us feel at ease during the wedding. He then sat down with us and went through the whole running order, so he knew exactly which moments mattered to us and where he needed to be. On the day, that planning showed: nothing was missed, and he pulled us away for couple shots at exactly the right point.

He's also brilliant with people. He put our families at ease immediately and yet we hardly noticed him working all day. That combination is rare.

To top it off, a preview gallery arrived very soon after the wedding. Our guests have raved about the photos. Wholeheartedly recommended.

From the moment we started looking for a wedding photographer, the most important thing for us was finding someone we could genuinely get along with. You spend so much time with your photographer on your wedding day that having the right person there is just as important as loving their work. With Chris, we found both.

The engagement shoot that was included in our package was honestly a priceless part of the experience. It gave us the chance to get to know Chris before the wedding day and allowed a friendship to naturally develop between us as a couple and Chris as our photographer. It also helped us feel much more comfortable in front of the camera, which made a huge difference when the big day arrived.

On the wedding day itself, Chris was fantastic. The way he interacted with our guests made him feel more like a guest himself than a supplier, which we absolutely loved. He blended in effortlessly, put everyone at ease, and captured so many natural moments as a result.

When our gallery arrived, we spent a lovely evening together reliving our entire wedding day through the photographs. The photo gallery truly speaks for itself. It captured the day perfectly, from the big emotional moments to all the little details we may have otherwise forgotten.

Chris also gives you a bit of VIP treatment through his social media, which was a really nice touch and made the whole experience feel even more special.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to choose Chris. Not only did we receive incredible photographs that we will treasure forever, but we also gained a photographer who felt like a friend along the way. We split our wedding into a small ceremony and a celebratory party a month apart, and Chris was there every step of the way. His experience gave us invaluable advice on what works best, his adaptability meant nothing was too much to ask (including shooting our ceremony on his birthday!), and his personality meant he fit in so well that our guests assumed he was our mate who also did photography!

We had originally booked a different photographer, but due to a family emergency he was unfortunately no longer able to capture our day. Looking back now, it really was a blessing in disguise, because Chris was absolutely outstanding and suited our laid-back beach wedding, our personalities and the whole vibe of the day perfectly.

His banter was brilliant, he blended in effortlessly with our family and friends, and made everyone feel completely at ease. So many of our guests commented afterwards on how friendly and natural he was.

It’s hard to write a review for Chris that fully captures how grateful we are that we found him for our wedding day, but here we go…

It’s difficult to politely try and find someone who you simultaneously want to blend in so well you don’t know they’re there, but also have them fit in like the guest you didn’t know you needed, who turns up to make the day even more special. But somehow, Chris does it all.

My husband isn’t usually a crier, but when Chris sent us the photos of the best day of our lives, we relived every single moment so perfectly that there was absolutely no stopping the tears. Chris manages to notice the tiny beautiful moments that you don’t even realise are happening at the time, and catch them so you can keep them forever. Our day felt blissful in the moment, but I never expected the magic of the day to be captured so flawlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a more authentic and honest way to remember it for the rest of our lives.

You wouldn’t know it looking at the photos (we got very into it), but we were nervous about having a photographer (we’re both awkward people). Chris, we cannot thank you enough for everything you did to make sure we felt comfortable from the first moment we met you, and for understanding what photos would be true to us, not posey or artificial, but real photos of the details and moments that made the day what it was.

Hey Chris, so sorry for the delay in review, it's been a very busy start to the year!

We booked Chris for our wedding in November 2025. We were looking for someone local to the Cornwall area to capture our elopment, someone with local knowledge who could really make use of the time we had and someone who would make use both feel comfortable in front of the camera.

When we viewed the Armstrong portfolio we loved the style of photography and after sending a quick enquiry we booked in for a zoom call.

The process from enquiry to booking Chris was so simple, and the zoom call made us feel both at ease with lots of laughter and straight to the point conversation.

We booked Chris without hesitation and awaiting the big day Chris kept in touch with emails and a second zoom call.

When the big day arrived Chris was the ultimate professional. His knowledge of the cornish coastline was exceptional and he took us for a lovely exhausting hike across the cliffs haha! But captured the most stunning photos. We couldn't of been happier with the workout, we mean photography.

We would highly recommend Chris, especially if you looking for someone with knowledge of the cornish coastline and someone who makes you feel like a friend rather than a client.

Chris was absolutely amazing both on the day and the run up! Our photos are absolutely beautiful and we have had loads of compliments from family and friends. He captured all the little moments throughout including the drunk dancing! We didn't have the traditional 'going off for photos' which was exactly what we wanted we kept popping off with Chris for 10/15 mins throughout the day managed to get loads of pictures without feeling like we missed any part of the wedding day which was perfect and got photos in lots of different lights and with a rainbow! We can’t fully put into words how amazing you have been from the start. From the first zoom call we had, we knew it had to be you. You were just so friendly and down to earth (and also live across the road from us which is a bonus!).

We are both quite shy about having our photos taken, so the engagement shoot we were initially quite nervous about. But it was such fun having a relaxed evening stroll around Holywell Bay at sunset and we were amazed by the beauty of the photos you captured. We loved them so much we used one as our guest book at the wedding for everyone to sign.

We also loved having a meet up before the wedding to chat through the day so you knew all the details and what was important. Despite the yellow weather warning for rain, you managed to clear the skies of hail and rain for the most stunning photos on the day. We can not wait for the full album to come back and see all the magical moments you have captured!

You also went above and beyond and kindly went round to our house on the morning of the wedding to collect a very important parcel that arrived late! It meant so much that Duncan could wear the hand made, personalised cufflinks and you made that happen!

We knew from the outset that we wanted to work with Chris, and we were super pleased he was available when we enquired.

Throughout our wedding planning he was more than just our photographer, he was also someone who we could bounce ideas from to make sure we maximised our wedding day to get it absolutely perfect. Chris was absolutely amazing as our wedding photographer! He made us feel so relaxed the whole day and managed to capture every moment without us even noticing he was there. He was helpful at guiding us through the day, all our guests loved him (and his jokes), and he was great getting the kids to smile for the camera. From the minute we met Chris, originally on a virtual call due to us living in Kent, we knew Chris was the right man to capture our day. He was chatty, reassuring and just made our future wedding plans very personable. Chris listened to what we wanted our day to be captured like and understood the assignment. We arranged our engagement photoshoot where we met him face to face and he soon made us feel comfortable with his quick wit and calm nature. The most important thing for my Chris and I was knowing someone who would listen to us, understand what we wanted and also wasn’t too serious and made us feel comfortable, as we weren’t exactly the most savvy with being in front of the camera. Prior to the day, Chris arranged a quick call to go over everything which again, was so reassuring. On the day, Chris arrived prompt and set about to work capturing what I felt like was every minute. He worked effortlessly, seamlessly and still had time to have a great laugh with our guests making them too feel involved and comfortable. In fact, by the end of the day, it was just like he was apart of our guest list. Chris gave us some sneaky previews less than 24 hours after our big day. We were made up with them but now we have our final shots, we are ecstatic! If I could have my day again, I’d choose Chris a million times over. We are so happy with our end results. Thank you Chris.
