The art of beautiful wedding photography! Wendy is a multi-award-winning photographer, with a career spanning 19 years, her ability to create compelling, natural, yet flattering images has kept her in demand for almost two decades. Wendy’s work is regularly featured in national publications and magazines such as Conde Nast Brides magazine. Wendy is a qualified Master Photographer (LMPA) and Associate Member of The Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).
Wendy’s approach is described as “creative and sensitive capturing spontaneous moments with a perfect blend of reportage and classical photography”.
Based in Marlow Buckinghamshire and travels throughout the UK and she is recommended by some of the UK's leading wedding venues.
Wendy Aldiss possesses that rare combination of great technical skill coupled with beautiful, elegant artistry, which is perfect for not only weddings but all celebratory events.
A superb portrait artist as well, my family has used Wendy on many occasions. Each time she has created long lasting memories, for which we will be ever grateful.
We were lucky enough to have Wendy photograph our August wedding at Notley Abbey Thame. From the moment we met Wendy she put us at ease and was friendly but very professional .
Having worked at Notley before she managed to capture amazing photos on the day around the venue. Her informal portraits she took on the day of some our guests were stunning. We hardly knew she was there, busy capturing the days best and special moments.
We found it hard to select the photos for our album from the 500 wonderful photos she took as we loved them all. We would defiantly recommend Wendy for your wedding day.
A full day's coverage usually from bridal preparation to first dance. I prepare and edit the images to my signature style and a password protected online gallery is available to share with family and friends approximately two weeks after the wedding. I also provide some highlights images within five days. As well as all the edited high resolution images on a USB, I offer a beautiful range of wedding albums, professional printing and framing service.
My wedding photography always includes all edited prepared images on USB and a password protected online gallery via my website.
I am generally booked a year or more in advance for summer weddings. It's always worth getting in touch though.
I only photograph one wedding per weekend.
Yes, I'm happy I travel.
My style of photography can be described as a mixture of flattering reportage and classical. Most of my photographs are taken candidly, capturing the moment, unposed. However, most couples do wish to have a certain amount of organised family and friends shots which are important to capture but without fuss!
Apart from many years photographing weddings, I'm also an award-winning portrait photographer and couples appreciate the special portraits they have amongst their wedding images. Child portraiture is also one of my specialities so couples who already have children appreciate this additional skill!
I use two Nikkon D810 digital bodies with a selection of lenses. I use flash sparingly as natural light is best and a reflector when needed.
Approximately two weeks after the wedding, I send a password protected online gallery via my website. Couples can select their favourites for their album from the gallery and guests can also order photographs directly from my website.
A selection of highlights photographs within a few days and the edited and prepared images are available approximately two weeks after the wedding.
My images are edited and from an eight hour wedding couples generally have 400 - 500 images.
I am the only photographer but I generally have an assistant.
I am a member of the Master Photographers Association as well as having a network of top accomplished and experienced fellow professional wedding photographers who I can call on. I have never needed to do this, but it's important to have backup.
I'm not an avid social networker, however I do occasionally post a small number of images on my website or Instagram. I ask couples beforehand if they are happy to have their images on display.
By the hour.
I send the couple an invoice and this can be paid by bank transfer or I can raise a PayPal invoice.
I'm discreet, observant and thoughtful. I understand that whilst it's important to capture the very best images as a permanent record of such an important day, nobody wants to feel under pressure to pose all day. I like to surprise couples with images they just didn't expect or aspects of their day that they missed!
