Hopefully you'll only ever plan one wedding. When you do, it's stressful trying to work out what to sort out, how much to pay, who to hire, etc.. There's tonnes of things to think about. The photographer turns out to be one of the most important choices. They capture the memories of your day, and the pictures they take will be the ones you look at for decades to reminisce. They are also with you for a large portion of your day, so you need to pick wisely...

Just pick Alex.

He was great from the start. He worked with our loose requirements and helped us work out what we wanted. We had a couple of meetings with him in person (with him living near our venue), where he met with us in the evenings which was a huge help. Communication was great, very transparent and clear with what was going to happen on the day.

Then came the day... Alex arrived on time and had everything planned out in his head. Whilst we were getting ready for our day he was discretely capturing our interactions with our parents and wedding party. In the ceremony he was professional and made sure he captured all angles. We then wanted some formal family shots which he handled brilliantly to make sure everyone was involved and left time for us to have some amazing private shots before the meal. As the meal came to an end Alex came up to us and handed us some sneak peek, polaroid type, photos. We had no idea he was doing this for us and it really just adds that extra touch.

After the meal we had the first dance where Alex shot some more cracking photos. Then the best pictures of the day came as the sun was setting where we ran outside and Alex captured the essence of the day in his photos. Unreal. And then of course some lively dancing photos.

All throughout the day and long after the wedding, every guest was raving about "the photographer", not a bad word about Alex. The best man was particularly keen on him as Alex (bravely) let him take his second camera to snap some shots of his own. Our friends even held Alex prisoner to have a burger in the evening to chat to him.
Oh yeah also, Alex stayed later than we anticipated, only for us to learn that he had to drive a good few hours away for an early start the next day for another wedding!

Finally, the wedding blues hit. They start a couple days after the big day. But suddenly Alex sends through a small batch of photos to remind you of how good it was. And then only a few weeks later hundreds more come. All of them perfect, each one blowing you away more than the last, and you question how he had the time to get around to take them all.
And to top it all off, he helps you curate an album to be printed for you from his recommended supplier. He knows the best way to present all the photos, he works with you even after you put him on hold for weeks whilst you get distracted with life, and gets it all ordered for you once you've given it your approval.

We were recommended Alex’s services by a friend who works in media production and from looking at his portfolio of previous weddings could tell straight away that we loved the style.

Initial communication was a video call around one year out from our wedding, where Alex explained everything in detail including the various packages and associated prices (which were very competitive compared to other photographers we considered). He was also able to recommend a videographer for us.

A few weeks before the big day, Alex met us at the venue for a walk through of the site, coming up with a plan for the various shots we wanted.

On the morning of the wedding, Alex made the bride and bridesmaids feel so relaxed during their preparations in the morning, taking away any nerves and making everyone smile with his cheerful and friendly nature - which was reflected in the final photos.

For the rest of the day, Alex seemed to be everywhere at once, capturing an array of amazing photos from our bride and groom photos in the gardens, more formal family shots, to all of our guests as they danced the night away. He barely stopped all day! We loved the extremely thoughtful gift we received during the dinner, which was totally unexpected and confirmed to us we had made the perfect choice for our wedding photographer.

Alex edited the photos within a few weeks and we received them while on our honeymoon, which was far earlier than we expected and made for a wonderful evening sipping cocktails and reliving all of the memories.

We chose Alex to photograph our wedding day, and he was simply amazing! From the intimate ceremony with our families at Cambridge registry office to our bigger celebration in the garden of my childhood home, Alex went above and beyond to make every moment special.

Alex was everything we could have ever asked for in a photographer. Both my partner and I were a little nervous having a photographer follow us around all day, but Alex made us both feel incredibly comfortable and the shots he took are beyond what we could have imagined. We could not have asked for a better photographer. We were a bit nervous about being centre of attention and being snapped all day, but Alex put us at ease immediately. So warm and friendly and also relaxed and flexible, happy to change plans when our friends grabbed us for a chat at the point we had said we would do family photos. Alex got excellent group photos and got them done really quickly so that we could make the most of the day with our friends. He somehow managed to be everywhere at once, but without anyone even noticing. He provides clear direction (for couple and group photos) and gets great reportage, natural shots the rest of the time capturing the emotion of the day perfectly. And all the pictures are stunning. A nice surprise was that we woke up the next day to find he had already sent us twenty photos from the key moments. We are not lovers of the forced photos but even those were so relaxed and therefore he captured so many candid moments. To be given a great snapshot of the pictures the morning after the wedding was fantastic, we were still with all of our guests so we were able to have a look through! Was in love with our photos even then but when they all arrived through this week I fell in love with them even more!
